Each of Mo Si's piercing questions struck Kudamon's heart like an arrow.
Guilt and anger welled up inside him once more.
Mo Si struck while the iron was hot, adding, "Speed is everything. Hesitate, and you lose. If you're going to act, act fast! Kudamon, don't make me look down on you!"
She had originally planned to research Ultimate Evolution, then kill Kurata herself.
But now that things had reached this point, Ultimate Evolution no longer mattered, nor did killing Kurata with her own hands.
What mattered was a world without Kurata!
There was another reason, too. Mo Si couldn't be sure she could achieve Ultimate Evolution in a short time, so she couldn't pin all her hopes on it. Having Kudamon eliminate Kurata in the name of the Royal Knights would be good for everyone.
"You're right. There's no talking about peaceful coexistence with vermin like that!" Kudamon's gaze sharpened, and he hesitated no more.
His golden eyes were as sharp as swords.
Captain Satsuma tried to dissuade him. "Kudamon, if you act without authorization..."
"I've already decided," Kudamon said.
Faced with the resolve in Kudamon's eyes, Captain Satsuma could only fall silent.
A thick barrier seemed to have formed between the two.
Mo Si said, "If you want peaceful coexistence, you have to create new rules, and those rules must be built on the edge of a sword! As long as you succeed, someone will speak up for you and help you create a new order."

Captain Satsuma froze.

Kudamon's eyes lit up at her words. "Where is Kurata?"

Once Kurata was dealt with, the road to peace between the two worlds would take a great step forward.
Everyone exchanged glances. None of them knew where Kurata was, so all their eyes settled on Sei.
Sei jolted and hurriedly said, "I don't know. I only went to his place once, when he implanted the Digimon. Every meeting after that was in the Digital World. I really don't know where he usually stays."
Captain Satsuma breathed a sigh of relief. "It looks like we'll need some time to locate Kurata."
He had to use that time to find a way to collect evidence and establish Kurata's guilt. That way, whether they arrested or eliminated him, they could act with full justification and have no repercussions to worry about.
"Hmph!" Kudamon was deeply displeased.
I'm a holy beast, a holy knight, a Royal Knight! I'm compassionate and care for all living things. For once, I finally want to go on a killing spree, and I can't even find the man!
But there was nothing he could do about it.
It's all Kurata's fault. Just you wait, Kurata!
"..." Once the atmosphere had calmed down, Mo Si gave Etemon a meaningful look.
The eyes were the windows to the soul, but Etemon couldn't see Mo Si's eyes. It took him a moment to understand what she meant before he asked, "Um... can we return to the Digital World now?"
Kudamon said, "As long as Kurata is alive, the Digital World isn't safe either. Once he's been eliminated, I'll send you back. For now, stay here temporarily."
Mushroomon, Otamamon, Gekomon, and the others asked anxiously, "Will we still have to become Digi-Eggs?"
Kunemon couldn't speak and merely opened his mouth.
Kudamon chuckled. "You won't need to by then."
The Digimon breathed a sigh of relief at that.
Captain Satsuma told Miki Kurosaki, "Kurosaki, arrange some rooms for Angewomon, Etemon, and the others."
"Yes!" Miki Kurosaki answered.
Then Captain Satsuma told Megumi Shirakawa, "Shirakawa, you're on duty tonight."
"Yes!" Megumi Shirakawa nodded.
Captain Satsuma turned to Mo Si and said, "If you need anything, just tell Shirakawa."
Mo Si nodded as well.
And so Miki Kurosaki led Mo Si and the other Digimon to the DATS staff dormitory, while Megumi Shirakawa remained on duty in the command room. Everyone else went home.
As for Sei, under their usual procedures, they should have found a way to extract the Digimon from Sei's body, then erased all memories of Digimon. Anything after that would no longer be DATS's concern.
But Captain Satsuma didn't do that. He seemed to have other plans for Sei.
Since this was modern society, the staff dormitory was much better equipped than Fairy Tail's dormitory. Although it couldn't compare to a five-star hotel, it was clean and tidy, with a bed, air conditioning, a telephone, a television, a bathroom, and a toilet.
Mo Si turned on the television and switched to the evening news.
A familiar face appeared on the screen-Director Hashiba.
On television, Director Hashiba said, "Some people claim there are monsters in Tokyo. I can tell them unequivocally that this is pure fake news! Please keep your eyes open and don't blindly believe one-sided accounts. Don't go out at night..."
"The news is actually lying! There were clearly so many witnesses."
Angewomon's astonished voice rang out in her mind.
Mo Si smiled. "Because this is stage one."
"Stage one? What does that mean?" Angewomon asked, puzzled.
Mo Si couldn't help laughing. "Stage one: declare that nothing is happening.
"Stage two: something may be happening, but we shouldn't take any action.
"Stage three: perhaps we should take action, but there's nothing we can do.
"Stage four: perhaps we could have done something earlier, but now it's too late."
Even after hearing that, Angewomon still didn't understand. "Why?"
"It's a kind of..."
Mo Si pondered for a moment, then uttered a single word: "Wisdom."
Angewomon sighed. "You're amazing! If it were me, I'd probably never learn that."
Mo Si said, "Actually, those are lines from a TV show."
"That's still amazing."
Angewomon showered Mo Si with encouragement, praising her so much that she began to feel a little giddy.
Mo Si collected herself and said, "There's no point learning that kind of wisdom. Let's study Ultimate Evolution first."
If they could use Kudamon's help to eliminate Kurata, that would certainly be good. But if they could gain the ability to achieve Ultimate Evolution on top of that, it would be even better-two blessings at once.
Angewomon got straight to the point. "Release the Dragon Slayer Magic Power stored in the Holy Ring, then use Take Over Magic to absorb its dragon attribute. That might give you the potential to evolve into a dragon Digimon, which could, in turn, open up the possibility of becoming Goldramon."
One attempt was worth more than endless deliberation. Mo Si immediately lay down on the bed and drew out the Dragon Slayer Magic Power from the Holy Ring.
"Ngh!"
To preserve the dragon attribute in the Dragon Slayer Magic Power, Mo Si hadn't converted it into her own form of magic power. As a result, it retained all its original attributes, including lightning.
As she released it, something like an electric current began spreading from her left calf throughout her entire body.
Angewomon reminded her, "Quick, use Take Over Magic!"
"Take over! Take over! Take over!"
Mo Si focused her mind and repeatedly cast Take Over Magic, trying to absorb some of the dragon attribute from the Dragon Slayer Magic Power. It was something like casting a wide net to catch more fish.

Mo Si stared at the evolution paths on the panel.
Finally, after seven minutes, a new possibility appeared under Mutation Evolution!
