Chapter 201: Attack
"Elemental substitution..." Lu Mingfei watched Friedrich struggle with cold eyes. His erupting will to survive drove him to keep trying to contact some alchemical creation far away, making his mental power extremely unstable. But under the combined suppression of Lu Mingfei's King's Domain and Discipline, none of his attempts received a response.
"Ahhhhh..." he roared. "I won't die... I won't decay... someone... save me..."
"So I really did call it." Angers lowered his head and pulled a pack of Mild Seven from inside Uesugi Yue's clothes. Making do, he drew out a cigarette and put it to his lips. King's Flame ignited out of thin air at its tip. The red glow flickered slowly, and Angers exhaled a wisp of smoke. Only then did he feel as though his feet were back on solid ground. "Are we still going ahead with the plan? Those two lunatics would have to be dead not to have caught on by now."
"I encountered Odin beneath Genji Heavy Industries," Lu Mingfei said. "The situation in Japan is more complicated than we thought. Perhaps that so-called 'god' is only prey too."
"So?" Angers raised an eyebrow.
"The attack began a few minutes ago," Lu Mingfei said.
He went over to examine the three unconscious men.
Uesugi Yue, Chu Zihang, and Caesar had suffered the same mental attack as Gen Chisei, only slightly weaker. Golden light ignited in Lu Mingfei's eyes, and his mental pressure poured steadily into their minds.
