"Heave-ho!"
The ground that should have been covered in grass had been turned over, exposing soft soil. The three girls, two older and one younger, continued digging the pit deeper with sticks they had picked up.
Every time Klee dug and pushed the soil aside, she gave a cute little "heave-ho" to cheer herself on.
Before long.
The three of them had dug a pit the size of a wagon wheel, about fifteen centimeters deep, just enough to cover the alchemical bombs with a little room to spare.
"Yay, all done!"
Klee tossed her stick aside and jumped up happily as she spoke.
Sucrose took off her gloves and lifted the pale green fringe from her forehead, wiping her sweat with the back of her fair hand. A smile appeared on her face as she said:
"Yes, next we bury the alchemical bombs, right?"
Klee's alchemical bombs detonated on impact, so using them as land mines was entirely feasible to a certain extent.
Noelle's skirt fluttered in the breeze, brushing against her calves, which were clad in white armored high-heeled boots.
She parted her lips slightly, exhaled a warm breath, and nodded:
"Let's not waste any time. Little Klee, take out your alchemical bombs. We'll put them in together, then pile the soil back on."
"Okay, no problem." Dressed like a red shuttlecock, Klee gave her little head a nod, then cautioned them, "Noelle, Sucrose, be sure not to knock the bombs against anything when you're holding them."
The two girls understood as well. It would be terribly unfortunate if a bomb accidentally exploded in their hands and injured them!
"Mm-hmm, let's bury all the bombs, then. We'll definitely teach that big guy chasing us a lesson!"
Klee happily set her brown schoolbag on the ground, then opened it to
