Sunlight streamed through the window and gently caressed the shapely legs beside the bookshelf, their soft curves outlined by over-the-knee black socks.
Holding a book and about to put it back in its place, Lisa was distracted by a sudden, tremendous sound in the distance. She instinctively looked out the window, only to find, unfortunately, that the buildings outside blocked her view.
"That seemed to come from the Whispering Woods. An explosion that loud-could it be Little Klee?"
Lisa folded her arms beneath her chest, which was wrapped in snow-white fabric, and lowered her gaze in brief thought.
In the Acting Grand Master's Office across from the library, Jean held a light quill pen, writing her decisions on documents describing all sorts of trivial matters.

She had maintained an intense work schedule every day, resting only three or four hours and sometimes not even finding time to eat lunch.
Suddenly, Jean also heard a muffled boom in the distance. As she wrote, the quill pen held in her fair fingers made a stray stroke, as though her grip had slipped.
Jean felt a dizzy heat in her forehead beneath her golden fringe. She reached up to touch it, and sure enough, her temperature was a little high.
Pressing her fingers together, she rubbed her temples and sighed helplessly through her headache.
"Why has Klee run off to play again, and made such a racket, too? Sigh..."
Jean felt her headache worsen. It seemed she would have to see Barbara, or she would be unable to keep working in this state.
