Clouds obscured the sun. Even at dusk, the golden sunlight could only tint the backs of the gray clouds, unable to penetrate them and reach Dragonspine.
"This compass... can help us find those corrupted monsters?"
Amber's red bunny-ear bow swayed slightly as she looked curiously at the compass in Albedo's hand.
"Not only that. It can detect the locations of all of Durin's residual power on the mountain, as well as its concentration."
Albedo spoke with a smile.
"Good. Then let's head straight for wherever the Evil Dragon's power is most concentrated. Hmph, that place must have something to do with The Doctor!"
Eula folded her arms and snorted.
She had a point. The Doctor was researching the Evil Dragon Durin's power, so his base presumably contained plenty of it. Starting with the highest concentrations would indeed give them a better chance of finding him.
"Then let's set off now."
Li Qiuzhi spoke after a moment's thought.
Although it was nearly night, the sooner they found The Doctor, the sooner they could resolve the problem. They couldn't let the monsters he had created continue threatening the adventurers on Dragonspine.
Their greatest fear was that monsters carrying the Evil Dragon's power would leave Dragonspine. Things would become even more troublesome out there.
According to Albedo's research, the Evil Dragon's power generally had difficulty dissipating naturally.
Dvalin, for example, had also been corrupted by the Evil Dragon's power. If Lumine hadn't possessed the ability to purify it, even the Anemo Archon's intervention would have been useless.
So if a weak Slime carrying the Evil Dragon's power escaped Dragonspine and happened to be defeated by a powerful Lawachurl, there was a high probability that the Evil Dragon's power would transfer to the Lawachurl.
That would create an even greater danger.
