Background / History

Helping Li Qiuzhi Settle in Mondstadt

Amber encounters Li Qiuzhi in the Whispering Woods while he is wet, poorly equipped, and carrying fish. Believing his fabricated account of being a merchant from Liyue robbed by Treasure Hoarders, she promises to report their supposed activity and escorts him to Mondstadt. Her description of the city's recent peace helps him conclude that the Traveler has not yet arrived 2.

She buys him dry clothes, takes him to Good Hunter for lunch, and arranges temporary lodging at the Knights of Favonius relief station. She also lends him 30,000 Mora and promises to watch for his supposedly stolen goods while scouting 3. During the following month, she occasionally visits the shelter to check on him and offers further financial help 8.

Friendship and Training Advice

After earning money as a hunter, Li Qiuzhi returns 35,000 Mora, covering both the loan and his clothes. Amber initially refuses because she had not intended to demand repayment, but accepts after he insists. Seeing him study Favonius Swordsmanship, she recommends the training ground behind the Knights' headquarters 10.

Over dinner at Good Hunter, Amber agrees to teach him archery when her patrol workload permits. When he explains that he wants to leave the relief station, she offers to introduce him to a close friend with vacant houses available to rent 11.

Introducing Eula and Helping with the Move

Amber brings Eula to meet Li Qiuzhi and defends her against prejudice surrounding the Lawrence Clan. She stresses that the clan's wrongdoing a thousand years earlier has nothing to do with Eula herself 25 26.

After Eula offers a courtyard house on Valberry Street for 100,000 Mora per month, Amber helps Li Qiuzhi purchase household necessities and clean the property. She burns away the overgrown weeds with Pyro while Eula prevents the fire from spreading, then supplies heat for the stove as the three prepare dinner together 27 28.

Her scouting responsibilities continue to limit her availability. Li Qiuzhi rules her out as a teammate for the dangerous domain expedition because of her duties; Virag later confirms that she is away scouting until the afternoon 41 42.

Ato describes her as enthusiastic and admirable 3 8 9 10.

She also has a playful streak. In the library, she uses the bookshelves as cover to sneak behind Li Qiuzhi and attempt to startle him, only to become briefly flustered when he turns around 10. Her loyalty to Eula is equally direct: she challenges inherited blame and responds warmly when Li Qiuzhi accepts her friend without prejudice 25 26.
