Background / History
On Earth, Li Qiuzhi was a vocational college graduate who became unemployed immediately after graduation. He supported himself through part-time work and could not afford to spend money on the game. Repetitive work had worn down his enthusiasm, though his family’s expectations kept him going 1.
After repeatedly losing featured-character fifty-fifties, he spent more than ten days gathering enough Primogems for a guaranteed wish for Lesser Lord Kusanali. The resulting golden shooting star broke through his screen and transported him to Starfell Lake in Teyvat. He recognized the location from the game, but touching Barbatos’s Statue of the Seven did not grant him elemental power 1.
To conceal his otherworldly origin, he told Amber that he was a Liyue trader robbed by Treasure Hoarders. Amber escorted him to Mondstadt and supplied clothes, food, and temporary accommodation. He initially pursued fishing as a safer source of money and EXP, then learned hunting from Draff. After a month, he had saved 355,600 Mora and gained enough strength to begin adventuring 2 3 7.
Appearance
Li Qiuzhi is a young man with short black hair and an ordinary face that Teyvat residents identify as Liyuean 2 26.
- Understated physique: His level increases do not visibly transform his build; Leichi mistakes his seemingly frail appearance for weakness 4 19.
- Practical clothing: Amber buys him an ordinary outfit suitable for moving freely during his early hunting trips 3 5.
Personality
Li Qiuzhi is cautious, pragmatic, and willing to build strength gradually. He hides his origin because he lacks the power to withstand unwanted attention, postpones pursuing the suspected thieves of his fishing net, and refuses to enter an unexplored domain before Guild investigators arrive. His long-term ambition is nevertheless extraordinary: he hopes that continued leveling will allow an ordinary human to rival the gods 2 3 7 23.
He values gratitude and personal responsibility. After becoming financially secure, he seeks to repay Amber rather than continue relying on her generosity. He also intervenes when Christie threatens Lucaer, believing he cannot stand aside while someone bullies the weak if he can prevent it 5 8 10 37 38.
He maintains a low social profile without being socially anxious. In company, he can be playful and perceptive, joining Fischl’s theatrical speech or recognizing the affection behind Eula’s stern manner. He also uses calculated negotiation: his demands for Christie’s cooperation are designed to make the later request for his stealth technique easier to accept 8 35 39 43.
Abilities & Skills
Character Panel and EXP Growth
A system resembling a Teyvat fan game accompanies Li Qiuzhi into the world. Only he can see its interface 1.
- EXP sources: Defeating monsters, humans, and wildlife can award EXP; incapacitating fish also counts. A Primogem supplies 3,000 EXP when absorbed 1 2 6 19 49.
- Finishing-blow requirement: To receive combat EXP, he must deliver the blow that removes an enemy’s ability to resist 22.
- Physical evolution: Character levels improve strength, agility, resistance, mental faculties, vitality, and lifespan. His improved memory also helps him recall information from the game 4 15.
- Skill acquisition: He must first learn a technique through study, instruction, or practice before using EXP to upgrade it 1 9.
- Maximum-level skills: Lv.10 unlocks an extraordinary trait. Two compatible skills of the same type, both at Lv.10, can be fused into a stronger skill; no fusion is documented here 11 49.
- Future milestone: He understands character Lv.20 to grant a racial specialty representing a breakthrough beyond ordinary human limits; he has not reached it in the supplied chapters 14 24.
Intertwined Affection
His innate talent tracks Friendship with eligible characters of the opposite sex. Reaching Friendship Lv.10 grants an ability enhancement from that character’s Constellation 1.
- Contact unlocks the corresponding Friendship level 1.
- Familiarity, appreciation, shared experiences, meals, and gifts can increase affection 2 10 49.
- Li Qiuzhi believes maximum Friendship requires complete trust; merely becoming friends is insufficient 1 10.
- No Constellation enhancement is obtained in the supplied chapters.
Specialties
- Descender: Identifies him as someone from outside Teyvat. The world has no record of him, and his existence cannot be found in Irminsul; its description lists no additional effect 1.
- Maiden Rescuer: Acquired after his first major adventure. Its apparent charisma benefit makes Friendship easier to earn, an effect he notices while traveling with Fischl 24 25 44.
Archery
Hunter’s Archery emphasizes steadiness, accuracy, flexibility, surprise, and concealing the archer’s movements. He also learns Favonius Archery: Basics 7 14.
- Sound-based targeting: Locates Christie during invisibility by listening to movement, wind, and footsteps 38.
- Shadowless and Silent: At Hunter’s Archery Lv.10, arrows fly without a visible shadow or sound, surpassing the ordinary limitations of his bow and ammunition 49.
- Elemental cooperation: Uses an arrow carrying Bennett’s Pyro to ignite an elevated Torch Mechanism 49.
- Limits: Ammunition is finite, and his original wooden bow lacks power against tougher monsters. He cannot personally infuse arrows with elemental energy like a Vision bearer 18 24.
Swordsmanship and Unarmed Combat
He learns basic Favonius swordsmanship from a manual, then Eula’s Royal variant through direct instruction. His Hand-to-Hand Combat skill supplies practical knowledge of positioning and attack timing 20 30 35.
- Royal swordsmanship: Combines sword forms with the Dance of Sacrifice’s footwork and coordinated use of the body’s strength 34 35.
- Enhanced strength: Eula compares his full-power punch at character Lv.10 to an ordinary Hilichurl Mitachurl’s full-strength axe swing 35.
- Grappling: Catches Leichi’s kick and restrains Christie by seizing and twisting his wrist 19 38.
- Limits: Raw power does not replace technique. Ellin defeats him when their sparring match excludes physical-strength advantages, and Eula remains far stronger than him 35 36.
Stealth Assassination Art
A Fatui martial art obtained from Christie. Its invisibility component can be practiced independently of its weapon-based assassination techniques 39 40.
| Skill level | Invisibility duration |
|---|---|
| Lv.1 | About ten seconds 41 |
| Lv.2 | One minute 41 |
| Lv.3 | Five minutes 41 |
| Lv.4 | Ten minutes 41 |
- Weapons: Designed for Debt Collectors’ sacrificial knives; short blades and shortswords can substitute with reduced suitability and power 40.
- Limits: Invisibility conceals appearance, not ordinary movement sounds or physical interaction with the surroundings 38.
- Elemental distinction: The Pyro attacks of higher-ranking agents come from their elemental weapons, not from the stealth technique itself 40.
Knowledge of Teyvat
His experience playing the game helps him recognize locations, people, mechanisms, and enemy weaknesses 1 15 17 45.
- Identifies Ruin Guard cores as targets that can disable the machines 17.
- Recognizes Ver’s information-broker role and Lisa’s potion-making expertise 15 29.
- Understands that defeating the Ruin Guards guarding a chest will break its runic seal 45.
- Treats game knowledge cautiously: Teyvat’s real distances and conditions differ from its playable map 2 3.
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Wooden Hunting Bow and quiver — Draff’s old bow, initially loaned for learning archery and later described as given to him. Reliable for hunting but limited against monsters 5 7 24.
- Adventurer’s Hunting Bow — Two-star replacement purchased from Wagner for 80,000 Mora; advertised as three times as powerful as the wooden bow 33.
- Dull Blade — One-star sword purchased for 10,000 Mora and subsequently carried on commissions and the domain expedition 33 36 44.
- Scimitar — Taken from Treasure Hoarders; used against a Ruin Guard and for early sword practice 22 29 30.
- Arrows — Uses ordinary iron-tipped arrows and purchases stronger ammunition, including Armor-Piercing Arrows used against Christie 14 32 33 38.
- Adventuring backpack and medical supplies — Carries medicinal powder and bandages used to treat Ver’s knee 15.

- Elemental Potion formulas — Keeps recipes but postpones brewing because the unstable process requires experienced supervision 28 29.
- Fishing net — Purchased from Sanborn for 10,000 Mora; later stolen from Cider Lake along with its securing stake 3 6.
Relationships
- Amber — His first major benefactor in Teyvat. Provides shelter, clothing, and meals, checks on his welfare, and agrees to teach him archery when her duties permit. Her Friendship reaches Lv.2 2 3 8 10 11.
- Draff — Hunting mentor who supplies his first bow and teaches him through fieldwork. Draff rejects a formal teacher–student label but guides his development for a month 5 6 7.
- Noelle — Partner on his first monster-clearing commission. Protects him from a crossbow bolt and helps him defeat the last Ruin Guard 12 14 17 22.
- Ver — Rescued information broker, fellow explorer, and seller of their collected monster materials. Later provides information about the fishing tackle factory’s Northland Bank loan 14 15 23 36.
- Eula — Friend and swordsmanship instructor. Appreciates his lack of prejudice toward her family, teaches her personal style, and tests his strength. Her Friendship reaches Lv.3 26 34 35.
- Katheryne — Guild contact who explains commissions, cautions him against dangerous solo work, and handles the domain report and expedition registration 12 24 42 43.
- Ellin — Swordsmanship sparring partner who defeats him on technique alone, helping advance both of his Favonius sword skills 35 36.
- Sanborn — Fishing-tackle merchant and commission client. Asks Li Qiuzhi to investigate Lucaer without humiliating him, then pays 50,000 Mora for the completed task 3 31 40.
- Christie — Fatui Debt Collector whom Li Qiuzhi defeats and releases in exchange for his stealth-art instructions and a means of future contact 38 39 40.
- Bennett — Domain-exploration teammate. Supplies elemental support and saves him during a fall; Li Qiuzhi encourages him rather than blaming his bad luck 42 46 47 49.
- Fischl — Domain-exploration teammate whose theatrical speech he sometimes adopts. Her Friendship reaches Lv.3 after he praises her, and he later tackles her out of a Ruin Hunter’s path 43 49 50.
- Oz — Fischl’s familiar and expedition companion; interprets her speech, scouts ahead, and praises Li Qiuzhi’s archery 43 45 47.
