At the sound of the Character Panel's notification, Li Qiuzhi first felt delighted, then gave it a little thought.
He suddenly felt that learning the recipe for this "Type II Pyro Potion, Amplified Power Version" was not all that useful. After all, it was just one recipe, far too narrow in scope to warrant spending Experience Points on.
No matter how high its level rose, it would still be limited to this recipe. It offered too little value, nowhere near as practical as his other skills.
If what he had learned was "Elemental Potion Brewing," or even "Alchemy" itself, that would have been perfect.
But "alchemy" was actually an umbrella term covering an enormous field.
Much like modern science, it had many different branches, such as chemistry, biology, and physics. There was no way he could master all of it simply by learning the recipe for one Elemental Potion.
It was like learning to ride a bicycle. No matter how high its level rose, even if it reached the point of developing extraordinary traits,
at most, he would gain traits such as "increased speed" or "reduced stamina consumption."
Surely raising the level of a bicycle-riding skill would not also grant him knowledge of horseback riding or driving a car.
Although they all fell under the use of transportation, the actual ways of operating them were fundamentally different.
So a single Elemental Potion recipe could not serve as a starting point from which Li Qiuzhi mastered alchemy as a whole.
Even raising it to the maximum level would only produce traits along the lines of "efficient material use" or "batch brewing."
To master alchemy, besides acquiring a vast amount of knowledge, the most important thing was still basic alchemical formulas.
Li Qiuzhi had learned about this from the game's character backgrounds.
