Mei nodded. She had long since grown used to Lingchen's foreknowledge.
She swayed her head contentedly and found a comfortable spot against Lingchen's chest.
"Vill-V really is a genius. The P-21 Prison she built, 'The Deepest Place,' received praise from most of the higher-ups. One of them has even moved in.
"The prison was built on P21 Island, where Vill-V was originally exiled. She's very invested in it and feels she ought to make the prison sturdier."
Keeping Lingchen locked up was out of the question, since he could teleport. Being able to keep herself locked up would suffice.
And because of Lingchen's presence, Mobius had not shown any intent to kill Vill-V. After all, everyone knew what Lingchen wanted, and doing that would gain her nothing.
"Moved in? 'Civil War Deity' really was an apt description."
Lingchen could not help laughing.
These higher-ups were mostly representatives of various countries, along with the original founders. He wondered which unlucky soul had been pushed out.
The world was on the verge of ending, yet they were still fighting among themselves. Compared to the Previous Era's MOTH higher-ups, even Cocolia of later years was a meek little bunny.
With her small hands, Mei tightened Lingchen's arms around her stomach. Only when she felt the warmth of his hands against her stomach did she continue, "Vill-V has already started researching Divine Keys at the Weapons R&D Department's 'Spiral Workshop.' She's remarkably efficient.
"It's just that she always leaves backdoors, and sometimes adds unnecessary functions to her inventions."
Mei had only discovered her habit of leaving backdoors by chance.
Whenever asked, she called them little surprises or Easter eggs.
Those functions were even more ridiculous, like fitting a flush toilet with a cigarette lighter, or making toilet paper water-resistant.
