Background / History

Serval and Cocolia were close friends from girlhood and once fought alongside one another. Serval also protected her younger brother, Gepard, from childhood bullies and later supported him as a new Silvermane Guard. During his first encounter with Fragmentum Monsters, she stood before him with a sword and purple lightning 241 242 270.

Their friendship fractured over the Stellaron crisis. Serval requested a Silvermane Guard escort into the Northern Snow Plains so she could attempt to resolve the calamity herself. Cocolia refused, stripped her of her military post, and broke with her. The Landau family subsequently distanced itself from Serval 272.

After leaving the military, Serval ran the Eternal Engine Workshop alone and continued holding open-air rock performances. Although Gepard believed she had lost her former dreams, her desire to eliminate the Stellaron calamity and save Belobog remained unchanged 203 258 272.

Her casual approach to business contrasts with her commitment to music. The workshop is not operated for profit, and she sometimes closes it for days when she lacks interest. For performances, however, she carefully considers rehearsals and presentation. Pela also complains that Serval’s sudden inspiration can force the band to rehearse again immediately before going onstage 207 212 240.

Her confidence does not initially extend to romance. Despite years of suitors, she remains single and fears that Lin Feng’s status and eventual departure would make a relationship painful or one-sided. Shared music gradually helps her act on her feelings, while Belobog’s future and the possibility of reconciling with Cocolia give her additional reasons to pursue him 241 242 257.
