Although Elena realized that what she had said was a little problematic as soon as she finished speaking, she felt she had to do it under the circumstances.
Besides, she could not take back what she had already said.
"Then what should I tell them?"
Denji still looked innocent as he asked Elena.
In truth, Denji was putting all of this on deliberately, and the innocence on his face was an act too.
His acting was actually pretty mediocre. After all, Asaba Kotone had brought him back before he had received any specialized spy training.
Even so, he still had the genuinely innocent Elena wrapped around his finger.
"Y-you just need to tell them 'yes'!"
Elena immediately said bashfully.
"Okay!"
A look of "just as planned" immediately appeared on Denji's face, and inwardly, he was overjoyed.
"But don't you dare get the wrong idea. I'm only reluctantly agreeing to be your girlfriend in name to keep people with ulterior motives from approaching you!"
Elena immediately stressed, "Remember, in name only!"
"Yeah, yeah. In name or whatever, you're still my girlfriend!"
Denji said shamelessly.
Elena could do nothing about him.
But while she outwardly turned a blind eye to Denji's shameless words and behavior, she was actually quite happy inside.
Immediately afterward, Denji spoke to the girls in Japanese.
"Congratulations, you guessed right. Elena is my girlfriend."
At this point, Denji's attitude toward the girls changed noticeably. He was no longer chatting and laughing with them as much as before, and he deliberately kept some distance in his tone.
"And because of that, my girlfriend doesn't seem to like me getting too close to other girls."
It was rare for Denji to speak so seriously.
Although his words were a little too direct, the girls did not seem angry or anything.
