An absurd thought occurred to Roy.

The Bone King had struggled through countless hardships and become invincible.

Then a giant dragon descended from the sky and pinned him inside the Great Tomb of Nazarick with a single blast of its breath.

Roy tried to observe it a little longer, but the dragon seemed to sense something and actually woke from its slumber.

Roar!

There was clearly no atmosphere on the moon, yet its roar generated vibrations through magic.

In an instant, dust billowed across the moon, and the entire world shook.

Unfortunately for it, despite its immense stats, it could not discern the World Item's actual location.

Who was spying on me?

The dragon roared in fury. Even if a meteor hurtled toward it from space, it could utterly destroy it with a single blast of its breath.

Such was the absolute confidence of a creature at the pinnacle of life.

Roy made a snap decision:

"Turn it off first!"

Eve immediately deactivated the All-Seeing Eye.

The sensation of being watched vanished.

Confusion appeared on the dragon's face. It had vaguely sensed an intelligent being spying on it, yet its search yielded nothing.

Was it my imagination?

The dragon roared again, its magic sweeping across thousands of miles in an instant. It was the true overlord of this territory.

Still, it found nothing.

Then I'll wait. The enemy will show up again.

The dragon muttered a few words, then lay down to rest, pretending to sleep as it waited for the enemy to appear.

But Roy's special skill, Time Observation, revealed its subsequent actions.

Time Observation!

Before the All-Seeing Eye shut down, Roy had activated his special skill.

Now he was genuinely a little shocked.

Being transported to the moon was one thing, but he had actually encountered something blocking his door.

Was it the Dragon Emperor, or something else?

Roy immediately asked:

"Eve, did you obtain any relevant data?"

Eve promptly answered:

"Supreme One, this dragon is over thirty thousand meters long and possesses extraordinarily vigorous vitality."

"Even measured against a World Boss's health pool, it is far beyond the norm."

"Its body contains an extremely powerful force."

"Many of the craters we saw were not caused by meteors, but by energy beams."

"Judging by its magical fluctuations, its destructive power should exceed that of Super-Tier Magic."

"At the same time, its ability to detect the All-Seeing Eye means it possesses world-level standing."

"However, it did not actually pinpoint World City's location, which indicates that it lacks a similar ability and cannot locate World City."

"If we wish to eliminate this dragon, we must at least assemble the elite forces of all nine cities. Even I would need to enter war fortress mode in advance."

"I also ask that you have your World Items ready, Supreme One, to ensure complete victory."

"World City has a chance of winning this war."

"However, I do not recommend beginning hostilities now."

"After all, we are severely lacking in intelligence. There may be many more powerful enemies in this world."

Eve did not underestimate the enemy. For the Dragon Race, size meant strength.

A body thirty thousand meters long was excessive even among giant beasts.

At its full extent, this dragon measured roughly thirty kilometers.

The largest aircraft carriers, after all, were only around 314 meters long.

That meant the dragon was as long as a hundred aircraft carriers lined up end to end-a true colossus.

Roy knew that one of the True Dragon Lords, the Heavenly Dragon Lord, possessed an exceptionally enormous body.

But the Heavenly Dragon Lord merely flew through the sky. Nothing said it lived on the moon.

Besides, if the Heavenly Dragon Lord were this large, the Platinum Dragon Lord would not have been considered the strongest of the Dragon Race.

Few of the dragons Roy remembered hearing about in his previous life were this enormous, either.

A dragon of this caliber could serve as a warship in Stellaris.

Wait, could it be an Ether Drake?

Stellaris had a kind of space creature that could not only cross the galaxy, but also destroy planets.

According to the setting of Stellaris, an Ether Drake was roughly forty kilometers long.

The size matched. It was entirely possible.

The power system of the Bone King's setting was derived from DND, while also incorporating a little Cthulhu, mythologies from various countries, and all kinds of mechs. It was a thoroughly eclectic mix.

So it was perfectly reasonable for beings beyond comprehension to exist in space.

Roy's previous plans had all been confined to the continent. Even the Bone King's original storyline had mostly taken place in its northwestern corner.

The entire continent had yet to be explored, let alone space.

The Eight Greed Kings had perished after briefly ruling the continent.

Had their enemy come from the sky?

An idea occurred to Roy, and he immediately said:

"Eve is absolutely right. There is no need to fight it before we gather enough intelligence."

"Have the governors remain on alert, and use the All-Seeing Eye to survey the surroundings of all nine cities."

"If the surrounding areas are safe and no enemies are present, go outside and release Laplace's Demon."

"We'll avoid the dragon and examine this planet's geography."

"At the same time, you must direct the research teams to begin studying this world's basic parameters."

"Gravitational acceleration, the universal gravitational constant, the speed of sound, the speed of light, and so on."

"As you command, Supreme One!"

Eve immediately began making arrangements and gathering intelligence.

Roy let out a long breath, feeling somewhat frustrated.

He had arrived safely and gained power, yet he could not relax for even a moment.

According to the original story's logic, the location where you arrived had some connection to the nature of your guild.

Ainz Ooal Gown was undead, so his guild had appeared near the undead plains.

Roy was the King of the World. Earth could no longer contain him, so he had been transported straight to the moon and encountered a monster unlike anything seen before.

The creature's senses were exceptionally keen. The All-Seeing Eye's blatant surveillance could easily cause trouble, so he would try the more discreet Laplace's Demon instead.

Of course, Roy was not eager to fight a decisive battle with an unknown creature the moment he arrived in the New World, either. He had to uncover crucial intelligence first.

The reports from the nine governors had yet to arrive, and Roy had sent Eve away again. His personal maid, the Scarlet Attendant Veronica, was eager to serve her master:

"Master, please give me your orders."

"Your most faithful servant can venture outside at any time to probe the dragon for information, or carry out an assassination."

If Eve handled affairs of state, then Veronica was the head maid, the household butler, and the perfect attendant.

Her combat strength was not particularly high. Most of her classes were focused on everyday service.

Only someone like Roy, with a ludicrous abundance of resources, would use a level-100 NPC slot to create such a fully developed household butler.

Name: Veronica Carpacia Racial levels: True Vampire: LV10 The One: LV5 Job levels: Perfect Maid: LV15 Universal Butler: LV10 Divine Attendant: LV5 Shadow Dancer: LV15 Thousand Faces Dancer: LV10 Assassin: LV15 Assassination Master: LV10 Nightmare: LV5

Fifteen racial levels plus eighty-five job levels, for a total of one hundred.

Roy was not a power optimizer, but a collector of rarities. In that respect, he resembled the Bone King: he would rather collect more rare species than devote everything to stacking combat power.

In Yggdrasil, a vampire's true form was exceptionally ugly-an alien creature with a mouth full of needlelike teeth and limbs resembling bloodsucking leeches.

Although Roy liked Shalltear's gothic little-girl appearance, he could not really accept her true form.

For that reason, he had specifically drawn inspiration from Evileye, the little girl who had destroyed a nation in the original story.

The side story revealed that Evileye possessed the bloodlines of a True Vampire and a degraded The One.

If not for her insufficient level and mistaken build path, her growth potential would have been no less than Certain Death's.

Thus, Veronica's core backstory was that a member of the human species encountered the vampires' The One and was transformed into a True Vampire. Ultimately, with Roy's help, she destroyed The One and acquired his bloodline.

Roy had not simply invented this himself. Yggdrasil did indeed have a similar quest: the Cainabel quest, which awarded the class-change item The One Blood Soul.

However, this bloodline of The One was not particularly powerful. Even players who obtained the class-change item would not use it.

At the very least, Shalltear had had the opportunity to acquire the bloodline of The One, but had not taken that class, choosing only the two races of Vampire and True Vampire.

This was common practice in games. Simply piling on racial classes did not make you powerful; a suitable build was what made you strongest.

The vampire race had three racial tiers.

Vampire, True Vampire, and The One.

Yet The One offered the worst return on investment.

That was why Shalltear had not unlocked the bloodline of The One.

But Roy saw things differently.

The rules of the New World, after all, might not match those of the game completely.

In theory, the bloodline of a higher race should certainly be stronger. Even if it was not, she was a maid anyway.

And so Veronica came into being: a Perfect Maid with all her service skills maxed out, and the noblest progenitor of the vampire race.

Moreover, Veronica also stayed close to Roy to protect him against anyone resorting to underhanded assassination methods.

Nightmare, the highest assassin class, possessed a special skill called Shared Fate, which took the target down with the user.

Veronica hoped to assassinate the space dragon for Roy through Shared Fate.

After all, she carried the World Item Blood Oath of the Erinyes.

Trading her life for its own was entirely possible.

World City could then resurrect her.

The space dragon looked like a stat monster, while Roy had countless mechanics at his disposal to deal with it.

But Roy shook his head:

"No, there is no rush to assassinate it."

"The dragon poses no threat for now. Provoking it, on the other hand, could have adverse consequences."

"Come with me to the arena on the sixteenth floor."

"Yes, Master."

Veronica immediately issued orders, instructing the arena to prepare for their arrival.

World City had thirty-three floors in total.

Some areas had distinctive traps. The sixteenth floor's mechanic, for instance, was single combat.

Any player who wanted to clear this floor had to duel its defending NPC one on one.

No one could interfere with the duel, or the Arena King's trap would activate.

The defending NPC would temporarily duplicate until the intruders were eliminated.

Of all the mechanics Roy had arranged, this was already the fairest and gentlest.

Roy did not know whether this cash-shop trap still worked, but he came to the arena to test the abilities he possessed.

Even if he had to fight the dragon, he needed to master those abilities first.

He would start with Silver Bullets of Allure.
