Background / History

Otherworldly Origin

Sharon belonged to the Star Heaven Church in her original world and was raised by a nun. Her upbringing combined religious instruction with practical combat training—even lessons about everyday objects could become explanations of how to kill with them. She arrived in the current world approximately a year and a half before revealing her origins to Luo Shu, and later lived in Europe 70 245 246 248.

Within the Demon Hunters, she became a Seven-Star hunter known as Sharon the Pure. Before confronting Luo Shu, she had already been caught in a Metropolitan Police Department setup, fought a Demon Warlock from Astronomy of Truth, and escaped Natsuki Minamiya 52.

Defeat at the Villa

While retrieving the Demon Incantation, Sharon confronted Luo Shu and Takina Inoue. She used the Eye of the Mist to isolate Luo Shu, leave a mist decoy, and slip behind him. Her attempt to kill him failed when he activated the Exchange Contract and gained control of her body 52 53.

Luo Shu forced her to surrender her protective veil and the Eye of the Mist. Sharon resisted his control, exploited their shared pain by injuring herself with a concealed blade, and escaped. Luo Shu subsequently concealed the true nature of their connection from SDS 53 54.

SDS Encirclement and Rescue

At a temporary base in an unfinished Beika apartment building, Sharon used Demon Hunters potions to heal her wounds and recover most of her stamina. After receiving a warning that SDS was approaching, she armed herself and attempted to break through its encirclement 57.

She overwhelmed ordinary Special Action Team members but was cornered by Chisato Nishikigi and Takina Inoue. SDS’s sealing artifact disabled her enhancement spells, protective clothing, and healing supplies; a sniper operating under Yakushiji Ryoko’s orders wounded her further 58 59.

Facing death from blood loss or continued attacks, Sharon accepted help from Luo Shu, who called himself Mr. Sun. She voluntarily yielded control of her body. He used the damaged potions to stabilize her, then fought through the surrounding forces 60 61 63.

The escape’s most spectacular feats belonged to Luo Shu controlling Sharon, not to Sharon acting independently: he evaded concentrated gunfire, disabled weapons with precision shots, and used Wind Element Manipulation while shooting down forty-three mortar shells. He then confronted Ryoko at a police box, shot her shoulder, and demanded safe passage 63 64 65 74.

Joining Luo Shu’s Familia

After entering the Astronomy Club’s alternate space, Sharon began to accept that Luo Shu might truly be a deity recovering his power. Her decision to serve him was also pragmatic: she knew he valued her abilities and believed that remaining useful would keep her alive 67 68.

She signed his Familia contract and became his fourth Familia member, advancing to Elite rank as a Saint Maiden. Luo Shu returned the Holy Shroud and Eye of the Mist as an investment in her combat strength 68 69.

Her assignment was to operate in the shadows rather than serve as a public-facing missionary. Luo Shu granted her a monthly salary of 2,000 points, allowed her to continue working with her previous organization, and instructed her to submit intelligence through the Familia’s internal network 68 71.

Covert Operations and Cooperation with SDS

On her first night working for Luo Shu, Sharon captured an important Yakushiji Family operative connected to demons. A Spell Formula in his mind prevented her from verifying his statements, so she requested assistance and transferred him to the Astronomy Club for Utaha Kasumigaoka’s Mind Reading 78.

Luo Shu later supplied information supporting her efforts against Yakushiji Katsuhiko, whom he identified as the principal reason she had been targeted for assassination 82.

At sea, Lacus Clyne intercepted Sharon and offered a holy relic in exchange for the Demon Hunters’ internal demon research. Sharon accepted, promised delivery within three days, and advised Lacus to kill any captured High-Ranking Demon once research was finished 110.

Her later responsibilities included monitoring Ghouls and continuing to gather intelligence on major secret organizations 201 239.

Kurumi Encounter and Recruitment Work

Sharon captured one of Tokisaki Kurumi’s clones, but Kurumi ambushed her with a time-stopping bullet and altered her recent memories using an Abyssal Artifact. Kurumi nevertheless failed to injure her, despite exhausting her available attacks under the world’s restrictions on spirits. Luo Shu trusted the Familia bond’s indication that Sharon was not under Kurumi’s control 218.

Still wanted, Sharon adopted a disguise for an outing with Luo Shu. She selected a room at Sakura Apartments, and their purchases were routed through the Familia’s spaces to avoid revealing the safe house 238 239 247.

After receiving the Eyes of Fate, Sharon identified Mahiru Shiina as a potential recruit. During their shopping trip, she learned about Mahiru’s unhappy family circumstances and recognized her aptitude for the Holy Practitioner path. Luo Shu approved Sharon’s request to guide her after a system assessment found a 73% chance of reaching Saint (Demigod) with basic cultivation 245 248.

Appearance

Sharon has golden curls, emerald-green eyes, pale skin, and a curvaceous figure. Her characteristic clothing is a nun’s habit, although she later uses a disguise because the habit has become an identifying trait on her wanted notice 52 53 238.

  • Habit: Initially described as dark blue with cheongsam-like slits; a later passage describes a deep-purple habit 52 78.
  • Veil: Blue-and-white and associated with purity; her original protective veil is the Holy Shroud 52 69.
  • Legwear: White tights or stockings, including gartered stockings beneath her habit 52 53.
  • Skin: Exceptionally smooth despite her lack of a skincare routine, prompting Mahiru’s envy 246 247.

Personality

Sharon is proud, sarcastic, and resourceful. She misleads opponents about her equipment, conceals weapons on her body, and is willing to injure herself to escape control. Defeat leaves her intensely resentful, but she prioritizes survival over immediate revenge 52 53 57.

Her religious background places a meaningful restraint on her violence: she rarely kills humans, distinguishing them from demons even when human opponents threaten her life. This does not make her gentle in every situation; she subjects a captured Yakushiji operative to a brutal interrogation 59 78.

Her service to Luo Shu begins with suspicion and self-preservation, then develops into reverence and professional dedication. She worries about submitting unreliable intelligence and interprets her inability to verify a captive’s testimony as a failure, despite having captured him with remarkable speed 68 69 78.

Away from missions, Sharon is playful and flirtatious. She coaxes Luo Shu into holding her close beneath an umbrella and teases Mahiru about romantic rivalry. Her competence in covert work contrasts sharply with her unfamiliarity with household shopping, cosmetics, and cooking beyond wilderness-survival meals 245 246 248.

Abilities & Skills

Saint Maiden

A composite Elite-rank class described as another name for a female Paladin 69.

  • Combines close-combat ability with holy spells 69.
  • Strengthens her body to Elite rank through pure faith 69.
  • Grants a 30% strength increase against enemies judged to possess evil power 69.
  • Provides the means to challenge demons above her rank 69.
  • Emphasizes individual combat; Luo Shu notes her lack of area attacks when returning the Eye of the Mist 69.

Faith Armor

A summonable defense exclusive to Paladins 69.

  • Her Saint Maiden class provides armor equivalent to 33 millimeters of steel 69.
  • The Holy Shroud can provide substantially stronger Faith Armor, subject to its faith and conduct requirements 69.
  • Kurumi cannot damage Sharon with her available attacks during their encounter, even while Sharon is time-stopped 218.

Anti-Demonic Stigma

A Stigma inscribed somewhere on Sharon’s body allows her to counter demonic powers 58.

  • Activates at the moment a demonic ability is used, binding and briefly stripping away that power 58.
  • Explains her ability to escape Natsuki Minamiya, whose demonic abilities would otherwise counter a close-combat specialist 58.

Physical Combat and Senses

Sharon is a close-combat specialist whose trained body remains dangerous even when supernatural enhancements are sealed 54 58 59.

  • Rapidly incapacitates armed Special Action Team members with punches and kicks 58.
  • Uses exceptional hearing to detect fifteen approaching personnel through a wall 57.
  • Possesses reaction speed far beyond ordinary special forces soldiers, allowing her to evade their gunfire 59.
  • Can use complex terrain to contend with a fully armed fifty-four-person tactical squad without her Abyssal Artifacts, by her own assessment 65.
  • Limits: Her unprotected body is not bulletproof. Chisato’s reactions surpass hers, and Sharon herself is not a firearms specialist 59 64.

Eyes of Fate

Bestowed by Luo Shu to support Familia recruitment 239.

  • Detects qualified candidates within fifty meters 239.
  • Alerts Sharon to Mahiru’s unusual potential, prompting her to initiate contact 245.

Intelligence and Interrogation

Sharon gathers intelligence on secret organizations and conducts covert captures 78 239.

  • Tracks down a valuable Yakushiji operative in less than one night 78.
  • Recognizes when mental protections make extracted information unreliable and requests specialist support 78.
  • Reconstructs Mahiru’s family situation from conversation, expressions, and incidental disclosures 248.

Suppression Vulnerability

Her Demon Hunter combat strength relies on layered supernatural support 59.

  • SDS’s sealing field disables her bodily enhancement spells, enchanted clothing, and healing supplies 59.
  • Suppression can destabilize alchemical potions, leaving their restored effects uncertain; the damaged potions used during her rescue still heal but cause extreme pain 61.
  • She observes Luo Shu’s Super Intuition while he possesses her, but the provided chapters do not establish it as her own ability 64 65.

Equipment / Weapons / Items

  • Holy Shroud / Sacred Corpse Garment — A Hero-rank, level-three Abyssal Artifact resembling a nun’s veil. Formed from a deceased Temple Guardian’s Faith Armor, it can provide armor equivalent to 100–1,000 millimeters without restricting movement. Users must possess lofty faith and uphold the Holy Practitioner’s code; otherwise, it imposes its own unwavering faith and demands their life in service to it. Also a Temple Guardian advancement material 59 69.
  • Eye of the Mist — A silver bracelet that creates a mist-filled alternate space and mist decoys, helping Sharon isolate and restrict opponents. Its effect dissipates when it leaves her hand. Luo Shu confiscates it at the villa and later returns it 52 53 69.
  • Joan of Arc’s Short Sword — A Hero-rank holy relic received from Lacus. The personal weapon of a Demigod saint, it is especially effective against Demon Kind and has no side effects. Its saintly will makes it suitable for Sharon’s advancement 110 117.
  • Alchemical potions and healing gauze — Demon Hunters supplies used to heal wounds, restore stamina, and remove abnormal mental conditions. Her initial recovery consumes half of a twenty-tube stock and restores her stamina to roughly eighty percent 57.
  • Weapons — Carries an automatic pistol strapped to her thigh and a concealed shoe blade; later retrieves a 9 mm compact submachine gun and three magazines from her temporary base 53 57.
  • Replacement bulletproof habit — Worn after losing the Holy Shroud; its supernatural protection fails inside SDS’s sealing field 57 59.
  • Familia access bracelet — Provides access to internal information and point functions, and allows her to transfer a captive into the Astronomy Club’s alternate space 71 78.

Relationships

  • Luo Shu — Patron deity, employer, and former enemy. Their coercive first encounter develops into a Familia bond, covert partnership, and increasingly playful personal rapport. He funds her work and supports her advancement 53 68 69 71 245.
  • Tokisaki Kurumi — Adversary who stops her time and alters her memories after the capture of a clone. Sharon retains a grievance and privately worries that Kurumi’s growing strength will make settling it harder 218 245.
  • Lacus Clyne — Negotiating partner. Sharon initially mocks her armed approach to “cooperation,” but comes to appreciate why Lacus’s subordinates respect her 110.
  • Mahiru Shiina — Prospective Holy Practitioner student and Familia recruit. Sharon recognizes her pure soul, investigates her circumstances, and obtains permission to guide her 245 248.
  • Natsuki Minamiya — Previous opponent whose demon contract Sharon finds repugnant. Sharon’s Stigma counters demonic abilities and helped her escape Natsuki 57 58.
  • Yakushiji Family — Hostile faction tied to the attempt on her life. Sharon captures an operative and seeks information to undermine Katsuhiko’s plans 78 82.
  • The nun who raised her — Source of Sharon’s religious education, practical knowledge, and understanding of saintly aptitude 245 248.
