In the next instant, cracks appeared in every chain binding him, spreading at incredible speed.
Dazzling, blazing rays burst from those cracks. The Chains of Order branded onto his body shattered inch by inch, and divine power surged within him.
Meanwhile, the chains sealing the enormous eye also rapidly disintegrated, revealing the divine eyes gathering power within.
Divine power billowed from Shi Yi and streamed into his Double Pupils, which instantly blazed with light.
The power of his Double Pupils surged. A dense hue of chaos filled his eyes, so thick it seemed about to drip from them.
Within that chaotic hue, his golden pupils shone like a streak of color in the darkness, illuminating it with an undying radiance.
Runes flickered incessantly within his Double Pupils. As though sensing something, the enormous eye behind him shot a ray of light at Shi Qingyun.
Before he could react, the light enveloped Shi Qingyun. When he opened his eyes again, he found himself drawn into a mysterious space.
Pitch-black darkness surrounded him, without the slightest trace of light. He could hear something rotating and grinding, while the dense killing intent saturating the air relentlessly assaulted his mind.
Suddenly, Shi Yi appeared out of thin air, floating slowly overhead and instantly becoming the center of this space.
The moment he appeared, streaks of light emerged all around, illuminating the entire space in an instant.
Holding his fan, Shi Qingyun warily looked around and saw rings formed from runes nested within one another, rotating ceaselessly.
They formed the barriers of this space. His gaze sharpened, and he wanted to rush forward, smash them all, and escape this eerie place.
But iron chains formed from runes kept closing in, giving him no time to react. A sweep of his fan shattered several rune chains that had already wound around him.
He stamped his feet, leaving spiderweb cracks beneath him as he shot skyward. Circulating his divine power, he discovered that although he could use it now, it still flowed somewhat sluggishly.
The chains surging toward him shattered under that stomp, only for even more to coil around him.
The moment he leaped into the air, countless runes extended from the void and bound Shi Qingyun tightly in midair.
As he struggled, the runes restraining him inside his body flickered with specks of light.
Watching Shi Qingyun suspended in his bonds, Shi Yi said coldly:
"Even if it only lasts a few breaths, that's enough!"
"I told you, dying beneath the Double Pupils is your glory!"
As his words fell, the enormous eye appeared behind him, divine power surging violently within it.
Runes continually appeared and vanished inside the enormous eye, while waves of destructive power gathered upon it.
The Supreme Bone in his chest also shone ceaselessly. Vast torrents of energy erupted from it and instantly coursed throughout Shi Yi's body.
"Heaven-Opening!"
As Shi Yi's words fell, a chaos-colored beam hurtled toward Shi Qingyun like racing wind and lightning.
Space shattered inch by inch along its path. Cracks like the sound of breaking mirrors rang endlessly throughout the entire space.
The sight of that chaotic pillar of light, brimming with destruction, made his pupils abruptly contract.
A dense aura of death enveloped him, threatening to congeal the blood in his veins. The pounding of his heart echoed in his ears.
Every pore in his body screamed a frantic warning of danger, yet the chains binding him only tightened.
After unleashing that strike, Shi Yi quickly vanished from midair.
Outside, Shi Yi knelt on one knee upon the Ninth-Rank Dao Platform.
His body trembled uncontrollably, and blood continually seeped from the corners of his mouth. Droplets fell onto the Dao Platform, bursting into blooming flowers of blood.
The golden light in his Double Pupils had yet to fade, but the runes within them instantly fell dormant when he landed on the Ninth-Rank Dao Platform.
"Cough, cough."
He wiped the blood from his mouth and pressed his right hand tightly against his chest.
The Supreme Bone trembled furiously within him. Drops of purple-gold bone blood welled from it, flowing into his body along with fragments of runes.
Yet this also made the Supreme Bone shake incessantly, as though it were about to break free.
Runes flowed from his Double Pupils into his body, binding the Supreme Bone firmly in place and stopping its trembling.
"Unleashing that strike at my current cultivation level was still a little too much."
Blood trickled from his lips, but his expression remained cold as he spoke.
Wiping the blood from his mouth, he slowly rose and walked toward the gradually dimming Luminous Cocoon.
Through his Double Pupils, he saw rune fragments continually spilling from the Luminous Cocoon as it quivered.
He took out the bone fragment. Flecks of golden radiance fell upon it, and it instantly blazed with light.
A faint, youthful beast's roar also came from within the Luminous Cocoon.
Just as Shi Yi reached out to take the Luminous Cocoon, bolts of blood-red lightning suddenly struck down at him.
He hurriedly retreated, but the blood lightning still caught him. His injuries immediately worsened, and blood gushed from his mouth.
As though provoked by the blood lightning, the Supreme Bone within him repeatedly battered the runes binding it.
Suddenly, the entire Dao Platform shook violently. Spatial fissures appeared above the formation, frantically sucking in everything within the Secret Realm.
Thank you for your support, brothers.
Chapter 66: Taiji Emerges, Yin-Yang Evolves
Shi Yi cast a reluctant glance at the Luminous Cocoon on the Dao Platform, but he had no choice but to leave.
Seeing spatial fissures continually appearing around him, he knew this Secret Realm could not hold out much longer.
Runes flashed beneath his feet, and he instantly vanished from the Dao Platform, rushing out of the rift valley like a gale.
Spatial fissures appeared throughout the rift valley. Cracks spread across its smooth walls, and streaks of red light shone through them.
Within the mysterious space.
Watching the chaotic pillar of light almost upon him, Shi Qingyun gradually relaxed, no longer paying attention to the discomfort in his body.
He slowly closed his eyes. At that moment, time seemed to stop, and his perception clearly "saw" everything around him.
The chaotic pillar of light radiating destruction, the rune chains continually extending toward him.
The rippling waves of air reverberating around him-everything was so clear.
From the outside, he seemed to have stopped resisting, as though he had accepted his fate and was awaiting death.
But at that moment, Shi Qingyun had focused his entire mind on his dantian.
There, a vortex spun ceaselessly within chaos, dotted with golden glimmers, while blood-colored ribbons swayed within it.
At its center, two bright lights, one black and one white, chased each other. As they moved, wisps of black and white qi continually merged into the swirling nebula.
They constantly expanded the nebula, slowly extending it outward.
He murmured strange syllables, sending waves from his mouth as though communicating with the black and white clusters of light within him.
The rotating black and white clusters seemed to sense his summons. Though they continued revolving, they began trembling incessantly.
Ripples spread from them, as though they were communicating and interacting with him.
In the next instant, they vanished from the swirling nebula. The vortex immediately dimmed considerably, and the streams of energy flowing throughout his body like rivers of stars briefly stalled.
The Yin-Yang Qi within those "rivers of stars" instantly lost its vitality and grew much dimmer.
The black and white qi traveled through his meridians. The Yin-Yang Qi they released fell upon the rune brands within his body, instantly dissolving them into scattered flecks of golden light.
Outside, two clusters of light, one black and one white, instantly appeared around him. Flickering, they drifted up and down, circling closely around his body.
The moment those two clusters appeared, the chains binding him shattered inch by inch, becoming fragments of runes that the surrounding rings absorbed.
He placed his hands before his chest. In an instant, they seemed to become two swimming fish, one black and one white, chasing each other, sometimes fast and sometimes slow, drawing upon the origin power of the Yin-Yang Dao Body behind him.
An enormous Taiji Dao Diagram instantly appeared behind him. The Yin-Yang Fish within it spun rapidly, showing faint signs of merging.
He felt as though he stood upon an enormous Taiji Dao Diagram. With his movements, the diagram beneath his feet underwent violent changes, expanding and transforming.
"Taiji exists before Yin-Yang; the two primal forces emerge, and Yin-Yang evolves."
Shi Qingyun slowly opened his eyes. Two tiny Taiji Dao Imprints revolved within them, while Yin-Yang Qi rose and fell in his gaze.
Listening to the whistling sound beside his ears, he remained composed. He raised his right hand, joined his index and middle fingers, and pointed forward. In the next instant, the Taiji Dao Diagram behind him moved in front of him.
Boom!
The chaotic pillar of light slammed violently into the Taiji Dao Diagram. That menacing beam had come within mere inches of him.
He could clearly see the energy churning within the chaotic pillar and distinctly sense the danger it posed.
Yet that terrifying threat was firmly blocked by the thin Taiji Dao Diagram before him.
It could not advance an inch. Shi Qingyun's gaze sharpened. Gathering divine power in his hand, he pointed forward and rapidly poured it into the Dao Diagram. The diagram instantly blazed with light and expanded, driving the pillar backward.
He clenched his right hand tightly into a fist. In the next instant, a suction force emerged from the Taiji Dao Diagram before him.
It instantly swallowed the chaotic pillar. That enormous energy merely stirred a few ripples across the Taiji Dao Diagram before it settled again.
An instant later, the chaotic pillar shot back at incredible speed, its destructive aura undiminished.
The expelled chaotic pillar slammed into the rune rings, immediately smashing them to pieces.
The entire mysterious space cracked apart like a pane of shattered glass.
Crack, crack!
Cracks appeared around him, and an enormous fissure split open overhead. The entire space shattered in an instant.
In the next moment, he reappeared outside. Before he could react, the sight before him left him stunned.
Extremely deep cracks spread like spiderwebs across the Dao Platform before him. The formation that had enveloped him was also gone.
Every rune engraved on the Dao Platform had cracked and lost its original luster, its Dao essence dissipating.
Shi Qingyun hurriedly turned toward the altar, only to discover that the Luminous Cocoon had long since vanished.
The runes engraved upon the altar also dispersed one after another, and crisscrossing fissures appeared across it.
Then he noticed something flickering where the Luminous Cocoon had originally rested.
Looking closely, he saw an utterly black bone fragment floating there. Without stopping to think, he used the Eight Directions Step and reached the altar in the blink of an eye.
He reached out and scooped the bone fragment into his hand. It felt slightly cool and carried an aura of primordial wilderness.
