Bethel pursued Klein through the Spirit World and resisted his traps, but Klein used Antigonus to distract him while his incomplete Fool form approached. Bethel seized the white mask, and Klein accepted the transfer of his Beyonder characteristics and Uniqueness.
Klein and Bethel confronted each other inside Sefirah Castle, where the Lord of the Mysteries granted Bethel partial control and pushed them toward a battle. Klein turned the contest into a Kingdom of God shaped like his lost home, and Bethel realized that the city’s inhabitants were puppets beneath the Lord of the Mysteries’ gaze.
Klein and Bethel fought across Klein’s Kingdom of God as Bethel used Door powers to tear it apart and Klein countered with Fooling and the concept of a star. Bethel nearly sealed Klein with the Twilight Greatsword, but Klein turned the tables by using a miracle to bring in Antigonus and seize control of Bethel’s Spirit Body Threads.
Klein and Antigonus defeated Bethel inside Sefirah Castle, but the Lord of the Mysteries forced Klein to absorb the Door pathway and become a dual-pathway True God. Klein later asked Bethel to succeed him if he eventually lost control, and Bethel refused to accept until Klein had gathered the remaining characteristics.
After defeating Bethel, Klein confronted the Lord of the Mysteries’ growing influence over his mind, refused to open the Western Continent’s seal before the wars stabilized, and went to help the Hidden Sage. In the Astral World, he entered the storm realm and was immediately targeted by a violent wave while an indescribable device advanced toward its original target.
Klein fought to evade Leodero’s attacks as God Almighty began invading the God of Thunder’s Kingdom of God and mind. Leodero rejected submission and unleashed the Calamity Banner, while a colossal war airship arrived and bombarded the ocean.
Klein faced a sudden attack from God Almighty while the Demon of Knowledge tried to seize the White Tower. The Demon of Knowledge escaped Leviathan’s assault and continued toward the tower as Klein prepared to claim Leodero’s characteristics.
Klein used Bethel’s Historical Projection to draw the Eye of Omniscience away while he moved to destroy Leodero’s Kingdom of God. As Cheek succumbed to convergence and attacked Leodero, God Almighty’s will overwhelmed Leodero, leaving his fate at its end.
Leodero recalled his ambition and defied God Almighty as the returning god consumed him, while the battle in the Kingdom of God shifted in the attackers’ favor. The Demon of Knowledge obtained the Eye of Omniscience, and Cheek seized 0-01—only for a figure resembling Medici to drag her into the banner.
Cheek recognized Medici’s connection to the City of Calamity and fought his transformed, calamity-marked form. Meanwhile, Ouroboros entered Calderón with the Outer Deity to retrieve Medici’s death imprint, and the chapter ended with Medici emerging from the River of Eternal Darkness.
Medici learned that Ouroboros had become a god through the Circle of Inevitability and that his resurrection required him to confront the City of Calamity and Cheek. Meanwhile, God Almighty’s sun shower won widespread devotion as he turned his attention toward the Astral World, where Lilith faced his gaze.
Medici told Ouroboros that he was still alive in the City of Calamity and fighting Cheek, while Klein accepted Adam alive from the Demon of Knowledge. In the Astral World, God Almighty attacked Lilith and pursued the Hidden Sage, but Klein opened a Door beneath Lilith to help her confront him.
The Son of Chaos fled Earth after God Almighty returned, while Medici defeated Cheek and absorbed the Primordial Demoness’s power. Medici then reappeared in a new form and called for Ouroboros, who hesitated and asked for time to understand what had happened.
Klein’s intervention helped Medici’s will persist within the Calamity of Destruction, though his identity and future remained uncertain. Ouroboros reunited with Medici, who planned to campaign across the Starry Sky with him, and Ouroboros could only sigh instead of refusing.
Ouroboros accepted that Medici had become the Calamity of Destruction and promised to stand by him, while Audrey and Ileana discussed the origins of Ileana’s distrust of gods and the spread of faith in God Almighty. Elsewhere, an Outer Deity decided to seize the embodiment of a tributary of the River of Eternal Darkness while the gods were distracted.
A decaying god invaded Calderón through the River of Eternal Darkness and called for the Demon of Knowledge, while Medici considered launching a world-spanning war before revealing he had only been teasing Ouroboros. Bethel heard their exchange and began recording the souls and events he had witnessed.
The Demon of Knowledge delivered Adam to Klein as payment for obtaining Omniscience, while the gods’ battle reshaped the world and the Demon of Knowledge evacuated Church of Mysteries territory in Trier. In Sefirah Castle, Klein confronted Adam about the sacrifices behind the catastrophe in Tingen, then allowed him to remain there as an Angel of Imagination.
The Demon of Knowledge brought Klein to the Lord of Withering, who offered two ways to help him endure the Lord of Mysteries’ influence. Klein chose to recover memories from before the Celestial Worthy’s influence took hold, while conflicts over the Western Continent and the River of Eternal Darkness continued.
Klein used memories of his ordinary past to preserve his humanity against the Lord of Mysteries’ corruption, then witnessed the Outer Deity’s plan unfold amid a devastating battle. He agreed to banish the Outer Deity from humanity, while the fate of the Lord of Mysteries remained unresolved.
Klein defeated the Lord of Withering, banished the newly crowned Monarch of Decay, and prepared to face God Almighty with the Tarot Club and his allies. After arranging their safety and sharing a New Year’s Eve celebration in the Western Continent, Klein returned to his identity as Zhou Mingrui and went to celebrate with a friend.
Garcia struggled with the Church’s restrictions on knowledge after his research into the stars was rejected, but Norbert’s account of a Heretic angel renewed his curiosity. The chapter ended with Garcia finding and secretly ignoring a card advertising wish-fulfillment services.
Garcia learned that Norbert served the God of Mischief, Amon, while preparing to undergo baptism to purge his irreverent thoughts. Elsewhere, Audrey cooperated with Zaratul to bring people into Heaven and reflected on her long life and enduring ties to the Tarot Club.
