• Audrey visited Emlyn and refused to exploit his goodwill, then watched Hvin Rambis deepen hostility between nobles and Feynapotter people.
• A New Year operation to awaken Emperor George III erupted as Xio was attacked, Hvin was manipulated into killing nobles, and MI9 entered the emperor’s mausoleum through a deadly hidden passage.
• In Feysac, Medici learned that the God of Combat had fallen and offered to serve Medici, while the City of Calamity invaded Saint Millon and drove Medici into a fatal confrontation.
• Klein reached the devastated city and preserved part of Medici’s soul, but the City of Calamity withdrew after Cheek revealed her plan to use its imprint to pursue the Red Priest Uniqueness.
• The City of Calamity returned to Bansy but could not pass through the Telegraph Office door, while Anderson learned that the River of Eternal Darkness would soon descend on Balam.
• Anderson saw the bone ship carrying the river’s divine figure approach, and the High Priest’s people prepared to meet the end as darkness spread across Balam.

• Ouroboros defeated Will, took his Sequence One characteristic, and became the god of fate, while George III emerged from his mausoleum to reclaim Loen.
• Klein’s Utopia ritual collapsed under corruption, and he ended it before returning to the Fool’s chair and resisting the Celestial Worthy’s influence.
• The Son of Chaos and the Hidden Sage fought Leodero and Lilith as Cheek sought 0-01, while Lilith took in the Moon’s Uniqueness and became Moon Maiden.
• Audrey entered Groselle’s Travels with Hermes and Ariehogg, but Merlin followed them to Liveseyd and disrupted Ankewelt’s resurrection plan as the city rose into the sky.
