Chaos Dragon Nest

Beyond the universe, amid the chaos of the void.

This was the true outermost edge of the universe, and the most unfathomable place in all heaven and earth. Amid the pervasive chaos qi, heaven's workings were almost impossible to predict.

Let alone those masters of divine calculation-even an unsurpassed Heavenly Venerable would find it extraordinarily difficult to deduce heaven's workings here and perceive the changes in all things.

Even a supreme powerhouse performing divinations with all his strength would often gain little amid the chaos.

Both the Immortal Mausoleum where Heaven Venerable Daode resided and the Undying Mountain where He Mu himself lived lay within this chaos beyond the universe. Thus, the supreme beings of the outside world could not discover them, nor had they occupied them beforehand and turned them into Life Forbidden Zones.

It could be said that, had He Mu and the others not discovered them while exploring the chaos in person, these two places would probably still have remained hidden, drifting through the boundless chaos and awaiting discovery by someone destined to find them.

What He Mu had never expected, however, was that Heavenly Venerable Lingbao's true body, having failed in his attempt to shed his mortal form, also resided within the chaos at this very moment.

He Mu was walking through the chaos, holding that mote of golden origin light. Boundless immortal light blazed around him, continually parting the almost inexhaustible chaos qi on every side.

Immortal light shone from the primordial spirit at He Mu's brow, linking with that mote of golden light and showing him the way through the vast chaos toward Heavenly Venerable Lingbao.

Yet even with the guidance of that golden origin light, He Mu's search remained quite difficult. The vast chaos obstructed the mote's resonance, and its intermittent guidance forced him to adjust his route frequently.

For some unknown reason, Heavenly Venerable Lingbao's dwelling lay far too deep within the chaos, further adding to the difficulty of He Mu's search.

After he had ventured deeper for an unknown length of time, the mote of golden origin light finally seemed to feel some pull. It abruptly blazed with golden radiance and leaped ceaselessly in He Mu's hand.

He Mu swept his hand, and the myriad Daos surged with it, becoming a mighty Dao force that swept everything away.

In a single instant, this powerful Dao force roared forth and dispersed all the endless chaos qi obstructing his sight.

The next moment, an enormous black nest came into He Mu's view.

It was a vast immortal nest of chaos, suspended in the air and enveloped in towering waves of chaos origin qi, floating in the endless void before He Mu.

This chaos origin qi was different from the chaos qi he had encountered earlier. It was a special kind of innate qi nurtured within chaos.

It weighed more than ten thousand times as much as ordinary chaos qi, and possessed a quality of undying chaos that returned all things to their origin.

This origin qi could serve as an unsurpassed divine material for forging artifacts, or be added to already-forged Dao weapons to improve the quality of weapons used to attain the Dao.

Now, such precious innate origin qi hung in abundance over a nest. To He Mu, the identity of this place was practically ready to leap from his lips.

This was none other than the Chaos Dragon Nest!

The entire Chaos Dragon Nest was constructed from elder dragon wood. Since the wood itself was pitch-black, the Dragon Nest built from it was black as well.

Beyond the dragon wood, precious and heavy chaos origin qi covered the Chaos Dragon Nest, flowing with endless immortal radiance and lending an even more extraordinary air to this legendary dwelling of a True Dragon.

The entire Dragon Nest was ancient and mysterious. Dragon qi surged and thundered within it, becoming distant cries of True Dragons and making the immortal nest seem all the more weathered by the ages.

This was a perilous land renowned in later ages, as well as an unsurpassed terrain formation recorded in the Netherworld Emperor's Source Heaven Book.

In the future, it would be discovered by the Myriad Dragon Emperor during the Primordial Period. He would claim it as his own Dao sanctuary, making it a place for the Purple Dragon Imperial Clan to flourish and pass down its legacy.

Later, during the Desolate Ancient Era, the Ruthless Great Emperor would also bury herself here to nurture her old body.

Great Emperor Wushi had also set his sights on this place, but his plans had never come to fruition, and in the end he could only reluctantly abandon them.

During the Post-Desolate Ancient Era, Ye Fan, Heavenly Emperor Ye, would even use this place in his youth to trap and kill many powerful enemies, leaving behind a legendary tale of adventure.

It could be said that the Chaos Dragon Nest was illustrious indeed-a wondrous and extraordinary treasure land that bore tremendous providence!

He Mu had simply never expected that, during the Mythological Era, this place still lay within the chaos, and that Heavenly Venerable Lingbao had discovered it and made it his refuge.

One could only say that worldly affairs abounded in strange coincidences, and creation followed no constant form.

He activated the golden origin light in his hand, silently circulated Heavenly Venerable Lingbao's scripture within his heart, and took a step forward. Without encountering any obstruction, He Mu entered the Chaos Dragon Nest.

Within the Chaos Dragon Nest, at the central point where the nine great dragon veins converged, Heavenly Venerable Lingbao lay quietly inside a Crystal Coffin carved from immortal source.

The dense Lingbao Array Patterns covering the immortal source coffin seemed capable of suppressing space and time, seizing all the creative power of chaos for Heavenly Venerable Lingbao and locking away the passage of time.

It was clear that Heavenly Venerable Lingbao's condition was far from good. On the contrary, because his transformation had been interrupted, he was in a very dire predicament.

Fortunately, this Chaos Dragon Nest was extraordinarily wondrous. Only by drawing on its power had Heavenly Venerable Lingbao managed to cling to life and recover at an exceedingly slow but unwavering pace.

But if he continued recovering in this manner, he could never truly revive without tens of thousands of years of accumulation. His return to the world remained far beyond reach.

Moreover, a Dao resonance that seemed to have fallen into eternal slumber surrounded him, leaving He Mu deeply doubtful that Heavenly Venerable Lingbao could truly awaken through his own efforts alone.

Seeing this, He Mu loosened his grip to hasten Heavenly Venerable Lingbao's revival and free him from this state of seemingly impending eternal sleep. The golden origin light swiftly escaped He Mu's hand, entered Heavenly Venerable Lingbao's body, and merged with him.

As his life origin reunited, Heavenly Venerable Lingbao's Great Dao grew increasingly active. His entire origin trembled continuously, releasing vast immortal might of the supreme Dao.

The next moment, the myriad Daos began to fluctuate violently. The slumbering Heavenly Venerable Lingbao was about to awaken!

Boom-

Two beams of golden light shot forth and burst out of the Chaos Dragon Nest, almost cleaving the entire chaos in two. An immense aura spread freely, and even the Dragon Nest began to creak.

At that very moment, Heavenly Venerable Lingbao opened his eyes.
