In the Blood Sea World, He Mu's intervention had already broken open the Lingbao Grand Formation. The severed arm of the Immortal Corpse was about to fall into his hands.

Suddenly, the severed arm blazed with light, as though a true god had descended into the world, holy and inviolable.

Yet there was something decidedly strange about that holiness. Upon closer examination, a power that bewitched the heart spread from within it, seeking to defile one's Immortal Platform and confound the mind. It could practically forge a new primordial spirit.

"Hmph-"

He Mu snorted coldly. The mighty power of the Immeasurable Heaven Venerable erupted in an instant, setting the myriad Daos of heaven and earth in motion. Supreme heavenly might surged forth, as though it would destroy every demon and heretic and cleanse the universe.

The next instant, a Supreme World-Cleansing Great Mill took shape. As the mill turned, boundless world-cleansing divine power burst forth, poised to grind the severed arm into nothing and utterly suppress that sinister power.

Just as the great mill was about to descend, the holy radiance upon the severed arm suddenly reversed, becoming billowing black vapor. As though formed from endless tribulation and baleful energies, it carried towering resentment and ferocious power as it surged toward the peerless mill descending from the heavens.

Boom, boom, boom-

The great mill met resistance and collided with the black vapor. The entire Blood Sea World fell silent. In the next instant, an immensely powerful heavenly peal exploded above the world, waves of Dao scattering outward as the sea of blood churned.

Within the small world, the hidden Lingbao Array Patterns blazed with immortal light, only to fall dormant immediately afterward. Even protected by the Heavenly Venerable Array Patterns, the entire small world could not withstand this collision. Its space and time had already become unstable, and the world was on the verge of utter collapse.

After the collision, the black vapor wore the great mill away completely, but the vapor itself had visibly diminished. Clearly, He Mu's furious strike had dealt it a grievous blow.

The black vapor filling the sky coalesced into a sinister Ghost Mask. Accompanied by resentment-filled howls and ghostly wails, it evoked the terror of all ages being annihilated and all living beings plunged into misery. As he stared at He Mu before him, the tribulation and baleful energies around him surged all the more violently, and he screeched in what seemed like utter fury.

"You little thief, you deserve to die! You ruined my work at the very brink of success, wiping out ten thousand years of painstaking effort in a single day. Since you have cost me so dearly, repay me with your life!"

He Mu's heart tightened at those words. He dared not underestimate the Ghost Mask before him. After all, it was a terrifying existence seemingly born from an Immortal Dao corpse, one that had already drawn in three generations of Heavenly Venerables.

He Mu silently recited the true meaning of boundlessness, setting all his cultivation in motion. His blood and vital energy surged through his body as though transformed into true dragons, while the immortal power around him became indestructible golden light protecting his body. The next instant, the Ghost Mask exploded, scattering into countless streams of black vapor. Yet instead of attacking He Mu, they broke through the Blood Sea World and instantly fled into the outside world.

Nearby, Longevity Heavenly Venerable flew into a rage upon seeing the black vapor flee. At last, he stopped standing idly by and struck directly. In an instant, he manifested a towering Dharma form that reached into the heavens. The Dao power of longevity surged around him, as though life and death themselves would reverse at that moment, and endless immortal light became countless divine chains that pursued the black vapor.

He Mu was likewise enraged at the sight. He immediately ascended into the heavens and stirred the Heavenly Heart Imprint, as though becoming the sovereign of heaven. His divine sense illuminated the vast cosmos, calling down streak after streak of Heavenly Tribulation Light upon the black vapor.

Unfortunately, the black vapor formed from the severed arm was no lamb awaiting slaughter. Moreover, it had caught both men off guard, gaining a step on He Mu and Longevity Heavenly Venerable. In the end, despite both men striking in anger, three streams of black vapor still escaped successfully, vanishing into the chaotic void where they could no longer be traced.

Seeing that the black vapor had vanished into the universe and could no longer be traced, He Mu descended from the high heavens. Longevity Heavenly Venerable also withdrew his Dharma form and returned to his normal size. He Mu looked at him and spoke casually.

"You seem to have held back, Heavenly Venerable."

Longevity Heavenly Venerable gave a meaningful smile and replied.

"Old age has weakened me! I cannot compare with you, Fellow Daoist Wuliang, in the prime of your life and full of vigor. Yet from what this old man could see, you also seemed to be holding something back! Is there some hidden concern?"

He Mu inwardly cursed him as an old fox, but his expression did not change as he looked at Longevity Heavenly Venerable and said.

"You must be joking, Fellow Daoist Longevity."

Then He Mu continued.

"I fear I must continue investigating this matter of the Immortal Corpse, lest the black vapor formed from that severed arm bring calamity upon all living beings. I shall therefore take my leave. If we have the opportunity to meet again another day, we must sit down and discuss the mysteries of the Dao."

Hearing He Mu say this, Longevity Heavenly Venerable cupped his hands and said.

"There is no need for such courtesy, Fellow Daoist Wuliang. As the Heavenly Venerable of this age, you must naturally command the heavens and watch over all living beings. This old man shall trouble you no further. Farewell."

With that, Longevity Heavenly Venerable stepped onto the Golden Light Avenue and returned to the Ziwei Northern Sea Forbidden Zone.

Elsewhere, He Mu stood amid the stars, looking down at the black vapor that constantly circled and struggled in his hand. His brows knitted tightly, countless thoughts running through his mind. After a long while, he finally raised his head, and his supreme divine might spread from this starfield throughout the entire universe.

"I am the Immeasurable Heaven Venerable. I intend to establish a Dao sanctuary on Ziwei. All races may come to Ziwei to pay their respects!"
