Catastrophe!
Altair is never one to give up easily.
"His years of planning have been ruined in an instant; how could he possibly let the other party off so easily?"
"Of course, Altair will not harm the Little Pickpocket's life; he will only Sacrifice him to the great Supreme Being. This is the will of the Lord of Dimensions."
As His devout Believer, Altair naturally dared not disobey.
"But Altair won't let Vera of MI9 get away with it. If it weren't for her interference, the previous plan would never have failed!"
"He has considered everything thoroughly, but he still lacks the strength."
"Therefore, while establishing the Fantasy Society, he also, with a keen sense of propriety, assembled a force completely loyal to himself and to the Lord of Dimensions."
"My Spirituality intuition told Altair that it should be called ' True News,' but he prefers to call it ' The Eye of Truth.'"
"All Things Are Illusory; See Through to the Truth!"
"Miles's Fantasy Society nothing more than a visible banner, a pretext to help the ' Eye of Truth ' attract all the Beyonder beings in Backlund."
"The latter belongs to Altair and is much stronger."
"The Eye of Truth chose to strike in the Factory District!"
"This place has the most Factory, a workforce comparable in size to the East Borough, and warehouses storing gunpowder and hazardous chemicals—it's undoubtedly a better target!"
"The real start of this grand celebration will come when the Believer of the three false gods and the Military's Beyonder turn their attention to the East Borough!"
"Altair foresaw this:"
With attention diverted, no one can stop the Believer of the "Eye of Truth," and the Factory District will become a true hell on earth!
"Of course, the Believer of the ' Eye of Truth ' will ultimately become part of the sacrifice, offering their entire being to the Lord of Dimensions."
"The barrier blocking the great being will temporarily crack, Angel will descend, returning to earth to better carry out His will!"
"And so, the play concludes."
"As the mastermind behind everything, the writer of this magnificent performance, Altair will once again be favored by the Supreme Being, Advancement the ' Book of Dimensions ' bestowed by the God to the level of Demigod, personally pushing open that door, and becoming a being Demigod and half-human!"
"At that time, the Demigod Altair will correct all the Error he has made!"
"All of this is perfectly logical; under the watchful eye of the Lord of Dimensions, what Altair wrote will become reality!"
The rustling sound of pages turning disappeared, stopping at the last page.
Footsteps sounded, and Altair, wearing loose pajamas, sat down at the table with a cup of freshly brewed Black Tea, leisurely gazing in the direction of the Factory District.
His eyes were full of certainty as he casually tapped the edge of the table.
Suddenly, a fire lit up the horizon.
A huge black mushroom cloud suddenly appeared in mid-air.
The Explosion only arrived belatedly at this point.
"Boom--"
The deafening sound made even Altair, who was in the East Borough, feel a dull ache in his eardrums, and he also felt the room tremble slightly.
He picked up his Black Tea, took a sip, and a smile appeared on his face.
Eastern Southern Suburbs.
Lorry stared silently at Miles's Corpse.
After a long silence, "The Curse of Knowledge" couldn't help but ask:
"Hey kid, are you alright?"
Lorry nodded slightly and exhaled forcefully:
"Of course, I'm fine, better than ever before."
"If Altair were to appear now, I would send him to meet his great being!"
The miniature old man manifested on the White Bone Ring pursed his lips tightly, forcibly suppressing his instinct to point out obvious Error in the other person's words.
Sequence 8 Beyonder have limited Spirituality. Even though Lorry had taken the "Marauder" Potion twice, it knew that the other party was already on the verge of its limit.
Let alone dealing with Altair.
Even if any Beyonder of the same level were to appear, they might not be able to stand until the end.
An aged voice sighed:
"Although I know you're feeling down, now is not the time to be sad."
"Have you forgotten your friend's last wish? He hoped you could stop Altair's plot and prevent more people from being harmed."
"I know," Lorry nodded slightly, "But how would I know...?"
Before he could finish speaking, he suddenly turned around and looked towards the Factory District.
Amidst the violent shaking of the earth, a gigantic black mushroom cloud rose into the sky, as if Devil had descended, mocking everyone's foolishness.
"Altair!"
His target was the Factory District!
"What exactly does he want to do? Is he summoning the One of Faith to descend directly?"
As Lorry recalled Miles's dying speculations, his expression changed drastically; he gritted his teeth, and his body swayed slightly.
He forcibly suppressed the urge to rush over and find the person, to make them pay for Miles and the innocent victims' deaths, and took a deep breath:
"Go back and report to the Lieutenant Colonel!"
Having said that, he stroked the White Bone Ring, preparing to forcibly use "Teleportation".
However, the "Curse of Knowledge" stopped him.
"No, finding Vera is useless; he's guarding the Sealed Artifact underground and can't leave." The aged voice said with unprecedented solemnity.
Then, he added:
Even if you use that Badge, that place can't sense it.
"Besides, have you forgotten that MI9 has already transferred most of its Beyonder to the East Borough? Even if we report this, they won't have the manpower!"
Lorry was slightly taken aback upon hearing this, then his gaze suddenly turned gloomy:
"While I was searching for Miles just now, I think I also saw Beyonder under the command of the Three Great Churches. Are they also having difficulty drawing upon their strength?"
The air was silent for a few seconds, and the "Curse of Knowledge" responded with silence.
It clearly thinks so too.
"Are we just going to stand by and watch Altair's scheme succeed?" Lorry's brows furrowed deeply, almost twisting into a pretzel shape.
He quickly shook his head vigorously, his eyes filled with determination:
"That's impossible!"
"I will not stand by and watch this happen!"
"Whether for the innocent people in the Factory District who are about to suffer, or to prevent Altair's plan from succeeding and him from receiving a new blessing!"
The aged voice let out a long sigh, but still remained silent.
In a flash, Lorry's mind raced through the overt and covert forces at Backlund, desperately seeking a solution.
Suddenly, his gaze froze, and a figure seemed to appear deep within his eyes.
She was a beautiful woman, dressed in a classic robe and wearing a black hood. Her face was expressionless, and her eyes were dark but lacked Spirituality.
"I'm fucking insane!"
Lorry suddenly snapped out of his daze and slapped himself hard across the face.
The next second, he suddenly bent down, picked up Miles's Corpse, rubbed the White Bone Ring hard, and quickly disappeared into the cold, icy rain.
The damp soil held nothing but lines of crooked writing.
