Inside a cheap coffee shop in the East Borough.

Old Kohler, who had just returned from the docks, was happily devouring a loaf of bread, completely unaware that someone was sitting opposite him.

Just then, another guest pushed open the door and entered.

A cold wind slipped in, and Old Kohler shivered, instinctively pulling his coat tighter around himself, still not noticing the man opposite him.

They also didn't notice the Dark Gold book that was open in front of the other person.

The pages of the book flipped rapidly in the wind, the blood-red words reflected in the glow of the Gas Lamp, quickly settling on the last page:

This is a brand new story.

"Due to certain unforeseen circumstances unknown to Altair, the previous plan failed to summon the Angel who serve the Supreme Being."

"But that's not important; he's already gained enough."

"The great Lord of Dimensions forgave His Believer and generously elevated Altair's ' Book of Dimensions ' to the level of Demigod."

"This is where a new story begins."

"After receiving the Sealed Artifact that could change appearance from Parliamentarian Begat's investment, Altair officially began his revenge plan."

"While on a mission, Jon, Official Member of MI9, happened to pass through the Stryven section of the Tussock River and encountered a suspicious convoy."

"Out of investigative instinct, he subconsciously moved closer to the other person."

"Jon, who had already Advancement to ' Interrogator,' had his ability to sense targets enhanced once again. Unfortunately, upon approaching the convoy, he experienced a connection from a higher level. For reasons that Altair might not understand, Jon decided to continue tracking them."

"The convoy stopped in an open area somewhere along the Stryven section of the Tussock River."

"A carriage, its doors veiled by a thick black curtain to conceal any prying eyes, opened from the inside, Jon was surprised to find that the person who stepped out was a colleague he knew."

However, his surprise didn't end there.

Jon saw more of his colleagues getting off the train and pulling out one by one cargo person, gagged and handcuffed, from a larger carriage at the back.

"That's right, the goods!"

"This isn't because Jon looks down on ordinary people after Advancement Beyonder, but rather it's what his colleagues, with whom he spends every day, tell him through their eyes."

"When they were driving away and scolding these poor people, their gazes were indifferent and cold, as if what was in front of them was not human, but just boxes of goods."

"Out of professional instinct, Jon quickly connected their actions to previous Missing Persons investigations."

He decided to remain patient and try to find out who was behind this.

"Jon quickly achieved his goal."

He saw his superior's superior's superior, one of the five Deputy Director of MI9, Major General Qonas Kilgor!

"In that instant, Jon felt his mindset and beliefs crumble."

"In his emotional state, he forgot to conceal his tracks and was noticed by Major General Qonas Kilgor. Due to his Arrogance and conceited nature, Qonas Kilgor did not personally pursue and kill Jon, who had just Advancement Sequence 7, but instead sent several experienced ' Interrogator,' believing they were capable of handling the task."

"Qonas Kilgor soon paid the price for his Arrogance."

"Jon successfully escaped the pursuit of his colleagues, even taking on three opponents single-handedly and killing two of them. This skill clearly exceeded his actual ability."

"Altair guessed it might be a gift Colonel Vera to his subordinates."

Seeing his subordinates return empty-handed, Qonas Kilgor couldn't help but fly into a rage. But he was even more worried about being exposed and facing punishment from higher-ups.

"Qonas Kilgor returned to Backlund and, using his position as Deputy Director, labeled Jon a traitor who 'betrayed MI9 and killed a colleague.'"

"At the same time, he paid an undeniable price, making a political deal with Lieutenant General Bendit in exchange for his help in finding Jon."

"This is because Qonas Kilgor carefully studied Jon's file and knew that he had some connection with Vera, a subordinate of Lieutenant General Bendit."

"Someone spotted Jon in Backlund, but quickly lost him."

"Lieutenant General Bendit, keenly aware of the reward promised by Qonas Kilgor, sought out Colonel Vera a talk."

"Jon's original intention was to return to Backlund and report the matter to the Three Great Churches, but he overlooked one thing: he had no evidence whatsoever!"

This oversight has put him in a desperate situation!

With nowhere to run, Jon decided to risk contacting his old superior, Vera.

"Clearly, his mind is starting to wander. If he were rational, he would never bring danger to his former superior."

"Given Jon's highly inconsistent performance, such mistakes are inevitable and perfectly logical."

Upon seeing his former superior, Vera, Jon briefly regained his senses, realizing he might be implicating her, and decided to sacrifice his life.

"His intentions were good; he hoped to use his death to clear Vera of suspicion and become a stepping stone for her to Advancement a higher level."

"Jon didn't realize that his actions would only push his former superior into the Abyss!"

"Colonel, Vera to let go of Jon's sacrifice, used her less-than-perfect Spirit Channeling abilities to obtain a location from Jon's spirit."

So he decided to come and see for himself.

"What Colonel Vera didn't know was that Lieutenant General Bendit was already waiting there. Under the pressure of a higher-ranking figure in the same Pathway, he was quickly defeated."

However, he was not killed by Lieutenant General Bendit and managed to escape in time using his powerful Sealed Artifact, "Teleportation."

"Colonel Vera's condition is extremely unstable!"

"This is not only because Jon's sacrifice caused him to become somewhat emotionally unstable, but also because of the effects of his physical injuries and pain."

"Due to various reasons, Colonel Vera made a mistake when sensing coordinates in the Spirit World and ended up in a trap set by Parliamentarian Begat."

"Given Parliamentarian Begat's strength, he won't have another chance to Teleportation."

"And with that, Colonel Vera's story comes to an end."

"All of this is perfectly in line with the logic of events. Under the watchful eye of the Lord of Dimensions, the contents of the ' Book of Dimensions ' will become reality!"

"Altair, who orchestrated all of this, will continue his revenge."

Bang!

The customer who entered closed the café door behind him, keeping the cold wind at bay, and the pages of the Dark Gold books stopped turning.

The man sitting opposite Old Kohler picked up his cup, finished the last sip of coffee, and stood up, tucking the Dark Gold book under his arm with his thin, bony hand.

He smiled and slowly walked out of the cafe.

at the same time.

Factory District, Posner Face Mask Factory.

Inside the private office, the rustling sound of writing suddenly stopped. Lorry put down his pen, stood up from his office chair, and stretched vigorously.

He looked exhausted, but his eyes shone with relief.
