Lorry smelled the familiar Citrus Scent and immediately sensed something was wrong.

The darkness before them suddenly shifted.

The next second, Fors stepped out of the shadows.

Their eyes met.

Neither of them spoke.

At this moment, an aged voice suddenly rang out, muttering:

"I warned you long ago that this tactic wouldn't work..."

Lorry reacted swiftly, reaching out and swiping his hand across the White Bone Ring, using his Spirituality to shield himself from the "Curse of Knowledge" and its impact on his perception of the outside world.

Fors asked expressionlessly, in a low, languid tone:

"Haven't you already set sail?"

After a few seconds of pause, she continued:

"Aren't Swindler supposed to be eloquent? Why aren't you saying anything?"

Fors raised her head, her light blue eyes fixed on the golden Mask for a few seconds, then suddenly reached out and peeled it off:

"Have you forgotten that this Sealed Artifact was given to you by me?"

Why didn't you tell me you were alright?

"Do you know that if it weren't for... I would have already hired someone to avenge you?"

"Since you're still in Backlund, why don't you come see me in person instead of teaching your pet dog to lie and deceive me?"

Faced with a barrage of questions.

Lorry gave a wry smile, and after a long silence, he said in a low voice:

"Because...

I am an unlucky person.

Everyone who has come close to me has been caught up in the Catastrophe, and too many people have already been hurt. I don't want to drag you down with me.

He paused briefly, then sighed, "In fact, if it weren't for certain reasons, you certainly wouldn't have escaped Altair's clutches."

"Altair?"

Fors paused slightly, "Didn't the Newspaper say that he had already fled Backlund under the pursuit of official forces?"

Lorry shook his head and said bitterly:

"Altair didn't leave."

Instead, they suddenly set a trap and killed the superior who had always taken care of me.

"Fortunately, at least I didn't let him down too much. I found an opportunity to kill Altair a few days ago, which barely avenged some of his grudge."

Then, he briefly recounted what had happened.

Fors listened in silence, then suddenly asked:

"So, you did all this just because you were worried I'd get hurt? Including sending your dog and the ' Shadow Ring '?"

Lorry hesitated for a moment, then shook his head slightly.

He raised his gaze and explained:

With the "Curse of Knowledge," the "Shadow Ring" is dispensable to me, and the Pound I sold are nothing to me.

"As for Albert, he's quite a nuisance on sea voyages..."

He suddenly took a deep breath and sighed:

"Okay, it's pretty much what you guessed."

Fors pursed her lips tightly, then continued to ask expressionlessly:

"Then why are you worried about me?"

Lorry remained silent.

Fors then asked:

"Since you've already decided not to see me, why are you here?"

Lorry remained silent.

Fors chuckled, unable to suppress a smile that blossomed at that moment.

"Swindler?" She tilted her head back.

Lorry's lips twitched slightly as he reached out to grab the "Calm Mask," but Fors anticipated his move and quickly shifted it behind his back.

She asked with a smile:

"Would you like to come in and have a seat?"

"You've come so many times before, one more time won't make a difference."

Lorry hesitated for a moment, then nodded slightly.

The two then walked towards the house across the street.

Fors reminded him:

"By the way, you're not allowed to keep teasing us anymore."

"When I was pooling money this afternoon to find someone to avenge you, I asked her for Formula ' Arbiter ' Pathway, and she agreed without hesitation."

"That's because of you..." Lorry nodded readily.

"Good."

Fors's lips curled slightly as he continued:

"The materials you needed have been gathered by the members of that Concealment organization. As you requested last time, they also provided you with ' Lion-Man Blood ' and ' Bewitching Insect Swarm Slime,' but he said these two Spirituality materials were not very valuable and insisted on using them as an apology for the long delay."

"Also, Dorian invited me to visit the graves tomorrow."

She said Dorian was a member of the Abraham Family.

Lorry knew that the two had been maintaining a close correspondence during this period, and the other party had already subtly expressed his willingness to take on a disciple.

He nodded slightly, listening patiently to the other person's rambling.

During their conversation, the two pushed open the door and saw that the Living Room was in a mess, with things scattered all over the floor, and a dog and a person sitting on the floor panting.

It's 10:30 PM.

Lorry had another task planned for today, but due to unexpectedly obtaining Beyonder Characteristic, he changed his mind and decided to Advancement his own Sequence first.

After half an hour of Meditation, he felt that he had adjusted to his best state, got up from the Sofa, and walked towards his desk.

The materials above are clearly divided into distinct categories.

The Lion-Man Brain resembles a walnut in appearance and is about the size of a fist; the Bewitching Insect Swarm Adult Insect are similar to the larvae, differing only in color and size.

After glancing at the Main Ingredient, Lorry then looked at the various auxiliary materials.

The "Lion-Man Blood" and the "Bewitching Insect Swarm Remnant Slime" both came from the "Sun"; Moonstone can be bought in Backlund for a small fee; the Wild Rose were collected specifically from the outskirts; and as for the paper covered in writing, it was a code that Lorry designed himself.

By now, he has accumulated considerable experience in concocting Potion.

After taking a slow, deep breath, Lorry methodically placed the auxiliary ingredients into the beaker one by one, and finally threw in the two Main Ingredient.

Glug~

A burst of shimmering steam suddenly rose up and churned in the beaker as if boiling, lasting for about fifteen minutes before finally calming down.

With a "whoosh," as if someone inside had taken a deep breath, the bright mist that had been overflowing was instantly drawn back into the beaker.

Lorry saw a glass of rather dreamlike liquid.

Wisps of white smoke swirled around it, and crystalline light flickered within, just like the stars twinkling in the thin mist on a night like this.

This is the "Mystery Pryer's " Potion!

He picked up the beaker, lowered his head, and stared at it quietly, a smile involuntarily playing on his lips.

Five months after transmigrating here, having digested two doses of the "Marauder" and "Swindler" Potion, he finally awaited the day of his Advancement.

"Call--"

Lorry slowly exhaled, calming his inner excitement.

"Gulp~"

The next second, he tilted his head back and drank it all in one gulp.

The cool sensation slid down my throat and quickly reached my body.

Suddenly, Lorry's mind was forcibly filled with countless profound and obscure knowledge, producing an indescribable stinging sensation.

His breathing became uncontrollably rapid, his face flushed red, veins bulged, his features contorted, and he couldn't help but let out a suppressed roar.

Snap! Snap!

Large drops of sweat slid down Lorry's face, splashing water on the ground.

He even had the illusion that he was lying on an operating table, with countless surgeons pointing and judging him like merchandise.

While they chatted and laughed, they inserted sharp steel needles into their own brains, trying to peel off the outer layer of skin.
