Backlund, Cherwood Borough.

Inside the Detached House rented by the two women, Fors leaned lazily on Lorry's shoulder, looking like she hadn't had enough.

"I want to hear more..."

"Tell me another one," Hugh said, sitting on the Single Sofa.

Albert, lying on the ground, didn't speak, but nodded his Brain in agreement and looked up with longing eyes.

"Let's make this clear in advance, this really is the last one..." Lorry said with amusement.

After dinner, everyone was bored and lay on the Sofa to digest. During their conversation, Fors poured out his woes about the stories of the last two nights of the Decameron. So, I racked my brains and told him a few short stories, hoping to give him some inspiration and avoid dragging it out too long so that readers would smash my windows.

But he didn't expect that the two ladies and Albert would get so engrossed in listening that half an hour passed before they realized they were thirsty.

"I'll do it."

Xiu sat up straight and, with great tact, picked up the teapot to refill the teacups.

Lorry couldn't help but roll his eyes at her.

I've never seen this guy so enthusiastic towards me normally!

Fors watched all this with a smile, her expression softening, a feeling of indescribable warmth and contentment welling up inside her.

As expected, after replenishing his fluids, Lorry recounted three classic short stories, making revisions and edits, to finally satisfy everyone's desire to listen.

The storytelling Salon has come to an end.

Hugh picked up today's Newspaper to look at the latest wanted posters, while Albert, as usual, went to the Balcony to review the roots of Hermes.

What are you thinking about?

Fors played with her hair and looked at the man beside her.

Lorry's gaze flickered slightly. After a few seconds of silence, he asked casually, "It seems like I've never heard you talk about your family since we met."

"Besides the fact that you secretly have a daughter behind my back."

"You two are flirting, can you please leave me out of it..." Hugh said irritably, putting down the Newspaper and grabbing the unwashed dishes as she retreated into the Kitchen.

"Why do you keep teasing her..." Fors looked at her angry friend, then turned and glared at Lorry. "And don't mention this again."

As she spoke, she sighed softly, a hint of sadness flashing almost imperceptibly in her eyes:

"I didn't mean to hide anything, there's just not much to say."

"My father was a low-ranking military officer who, after retiring, chose to go to East Balam to pursue the power and wealth he desired."

He told my mother and me that he would take us to live with him in the future, or return with a large fortune so that we could live a comfortable life.

"As a result, she never saw her husband again until her mother died."

"I heard he's doing quite well in the Southern Continent, haha, you can tell from the fact that he generously left me all of Backlund's assets."

"It's a pity that he seems to have forgotten his promise to us. He started a new family in East Balam and had a son he had been longing for—that's my guess. He shares the same faith in the Storm as his colleagues and superiors, and this kind of Believer in the God generally has the common trait of valuing sons over daughters."

"However, he hadn't completely forgotten that he had a daughter in Backlund. He still cared about my situation and, after I graduated from medical school, he used his previous connections to get me a job at a private clinic with good pay, enough to at least allow me to live a decent life."

"But after that, I never received another letter from him, as if that job had brought our father-daughter relationship to an end."

"You probably know what happened next: because of an encounter, I became Beyonder, started writing novels to make a living, and then I met Hugh, and then I met you..."

Lorry held her hand, quietly letting her snuggle against him.

Seven or eight minutes passed, and seeing that Fors ' emotions had gradually calmed down, he asked in a low voice, "You didn't seem to mention his name just now?"

"What's the point of bringing this up? You're planning to find him and beat him up to avenge me?" Fors laughed first, saying nonchalantly:

uuɡu. First update, no typos. You won't see the pinyin suffix in the address input. You can then access the first update site.

His name is Falken Wall.

"If that day ever comes, remember to invite me to be a bystander," she joked, rubbing her slightly stiff neck. "Move over a bit."

After finishing cleaning the Kitchen, Hugh saw the two switching places and stared in disbelief for over ten seconds, muttering with a look of disgust:

"Can't you just get down? Why do you have to crawl over him?"

She silently sat back down on the Single Sofa and continued reading the Newspaper.

"None of your business..." Fors chuckled.

Xiu rolled his eyes at the sight.

"Why do you seem so absent-minded tonight?" Fors ignored her friend, hugged her knees, and tilted her head to ask.

"There's been an emergency, I'm afraid I'll need to go out." Lorry hesitated for a moment, then gently put his arm around the woman's head.

He sighed inwardly, recalling the information synchronized with his clone.

Sir Wall, who placed the advertisement in the Newspaper, seems to have gotten into some trouble and urgently needs Cash, hence his haste to sell his assets.

Using the pretext of confirming ownership, Pali Beria Lorry reviewed the plantation's paperwork and thus learned the knight's full name.

Falken Wall.

"Leaving again?" Fors was silent for a few seconds, then muttered softly:

"You promised to stay in Backlund for a while, and you even said you'd help me digest the Potion. All men are the same..."

After venting her frustrations, she asked softly, "What about your medal ceremony on Sunday night? Wouldn't it be inappropriate to cancel?"

"It's alright."

Lorry thought for a moment and said, "I'll be back in two or three days at most."

He planned to use "Teleportation" to travel to the Southern Continent, perform divination to confirm the relationship between Fors and Sir Wall, and then decide on his next course of action.

If the matter is relatively easy to resolve, then handle it before returning.

Conversely, if the situation is reversed, then Pali Beria Lorry will follow up on the matter, but this will inevitably affect the progress of the investigation into Gibson.

The Beria Family has declined to the point where only a dozen or so Beyonder remain, and those who have reached the Mid-Sequence can be counted on one hand.

"I reminded you before, hurry up and come up with your magic Trick, don't forget to do them," Lorry reminded you. "The opportunity to perform will be after this Sunday."

Fors nodded slightly and gave a nasal "hmm".

Then, Lorry looked at Hugh and said, "You don't need to continue with the assignment."

"Why? You don't need these things anymore?" Hugh said irritably.

"No, that's not it," Lorry said casually.

"I'll handle things myself this time; there will be an easier way."
