The Right Way to Approach Gehrman
He cleared his throat and deliberately glanced at "The Sun" Derrick: "What kind of request?"
"As a Sanguine Baron, I should be able to accomplish this easily."
Emlyn deliberately emphasized the words "Baron" and "relaxed," and said with a chuckle, "That's right, I've Advancement to Sequence 6."
The air suddenly became quiet, filled with an Awkwardness atmosphere.
"Justice" Audrey quickly chimed in, "Mr. Moon, may I ask what the name of the Sequence 6 Potion for your Pathway is?"
Unaware of anything amiss, Emlyn nodded slightly to the noblewoman. "Potions Professor."
"Miss Justice" is still kind-hearted— Klein glanced at the Vampire hadn't been very noticeable today and silently apologized in his heart.
If Miss "Magician" hadn't brought it up, he would have almost forgotten that this guy was also at the party, in Backlund.
Miss Magician is quite reliable, and she has a powerful "friend," but unfortunately, she has her own things to do.
"Fine, I'll make do with this"—thinking this way, Klein manipulated the "World" dummy to speak, "My request is very simple."
"Take a walk along Williams Street, where the West Borough and Empress Borough meet, every two or three days. Keep an eye out for anything unusual, and let me know immediately if you do."
Williams Street is the location of the underground ruins where he discovered the evil spirit.
"Do I have to go every two or three days?" Emlyn the Moon was immediately annoyed, and suddenly felt that it was nice that no one was paying attention to him.
He grunted but didn't say anything.
This Vampire is hopeless, I knew it would turn out like this—last time I asked him to deliver a message, he told me the sun was too bright to go out—
Klein muttered to himself in annoyance, and said in a deep voice, "To be honest, this matter is still a bit dangerous."
"If you're not sure, I can wait for Miss Magician to finish her business, or hire someone else."
"No need." Emlyn slightly raised his chin and stated a number. "Two hundred pounds."
"Two hundred pounds just for a casual stroll? Why don't you just rob someone?" Klein slowly exhaled, and the dummy controlling "World" chuckled softly, "No problem."
He didn't refuse? Emlyn paused for two seconds, then began to seriously recall the details of the other party's request, hesitatingly asking, "Um, what counts as abnormal?"
"World" was silent for a few seconds before speaking in a low, hoarse voice. "What you consider unusual enough, I think I can trust the judgment of a Sanguine Baron."
"Of course," Emlyn said without hesitation.
After reviewing the entire incident in his mind, Klein controlled the "World" dummy to remind the Vampire, "Besides, the higher-ups of the Sanguine might be monitoring you. You'd better find a way to get rid of them to avoid unnecessary trouble."
"It's alright," Emlyn replied nonchalantly. "I can sneak out of the Church and hire Bounty Hunter to do it."
"That's also possible----"
He paused for two seconds, then changed the subject. "You don't need to worry about the specific details; I'm capable of handling this."
"I think you just can't come up with what to say after 'it's okay,' huh? Is this Vampire who doesn't like to go out reliable?" Klein thought worriedly.
The entrusted matters have come to an end; let's continue sharing and exchanging ideas.
Near the end, after sharing the specialties of the Southern Continent, Fors looked around and, without pausing, smiled and said, "Everyone, I also have a request, open to all of you."
When everyone's attention turned to her, she began to explain, "Simply put, I've researched a Trick and I'd like to get everyone's feedback."
After speaking, she looked at "The Fool," and upon receiving permission, conjured three opaque Ceramic Cup and three Small Ball. She placed the Small Ball under the Ceramic Cup and shook them perfunctorily a few times, then continued, "A magic trick like this takes about five minutes. If you can see through my technique, you'll receive a reward of five hundred pounds."
"Isn't this a gambling technique invented by Emperor Roselle?" Alger, the "Hanged Man," who frequented casinos, frowned and asked in a deep voice, "You want to use us to digest Potion?"
"Here?"
"Using—can't you even speak properly?" Fors muttered to himself, then decisively shook his head. "Of course, the Real World."
o
Alger immediately fell silent and stopped speaking.
He was also unwilling to reveal his true identity to more members of the Tarot Club.
Fors nodded dismissively; after all, the "Hanged Man" wasn't her real target. She then asked the others, "What about you?"
"The Sun" Derrick was the first to express his inability to help.
"How could a noble Sanguine do such a thing? I'd rather not earn those five hundred pounds!" Moon Emlyn shook his head and refused without even thinking.
"Justice," Audrey thought for a moment, "Can I wait until I return to Backlund?"
She wasn't particularly interested in the five hundred pounds, but she was very curious whether the "Trickmaster's " Trick could fool her, the "Spectator."
"Okay." Fors readily agreed, turning his head to look at the "Hermit" beside him, and at the "World" at the very bottom of the Bronze Long Table.
"I've been quite busy lately," Cattleya politely declined.
Her considerations were similar to those of the "Hanged Man"—she didn't want to reveal her identity.
And it's not a difference of five hundred pounds.
Are you all so rich?! Five hundred pounds for five minutes, where can you find a job like that?! Klein couldn't help but mutter to himself.
He had already made all the plans:
If someone else accepts first, it won't seem abrupt if you agree as well.
But now— Klein sighed silently, preparing to refuse. However, at that moment, he suddenly heard the "Magician's" voice. "Mr. 'World,' what about you?"
"If you don't need Pound, you can substitute other rewards, such as—methods to restore Beyonder Characteristic."
What I lack isn't the method, but rather the power of Angel —just as he was complaining, Klein suddenly realized that this was a good stepping stone.
He pretended to think for a few seconds, then said in a deep voice, "I can consider it."
Worried that the "Magician" lady was being too enthusiastic, he decided to finalize the payment on the spot at the Tarot Club, so that he could obtain the information he already knew.
Klein didn't give her a chance to speak, asking almost without pausing, "The payment isn't urgent; we can discuss it in person. What I'm more curious about is, how do you plan to perform in the Real World?"
"Let me state upfront that I don't currently have much interest in contacting you."
Similar questions had been discussed before, so Fors readily offered, "I will ask Mr. Fool to give you something for location purposes, and then temporarily lend you a Mystical Item to disguise your appearance."
"You can return them after this is all over."
What do you think?
I think your idea is good, very thoughtful—and the £500 reward is quite lovely—this way, I can not only make up for my losses but also make a net profit of £300! Thinking this, "The World" chuckled and nodded, "Okay."
I'm really looking forward to seeing what surprises your Trick will bring.
