King of the Curtain
The Fog Sea, the "Black Emperor".
Hearing hurried footsteps behind them, "Traveler Lorry" and "Horror Viscount" Bird Mustang turned around almost simultaneously.
The Pirate stopped, nodded, and said:
"Second mate, the lookout team has spotted something amiss."
"Intis's navy seems to have its eye on us, and has been loitering in the distance."
"The Intis Navy..." Bird Mustang thought for a moment and said, "Just maintain the necessary vigilance; they would never dare to provoke a conflict easily."
"Clear!"
The Pirate responded and quickly left to relay the instructions.
The two then climbed the stairs and headed towards the captain's cabin at the top.
Upon reaching the door, the "Horror Viscount" had just raised his right hand when he heard a dignified middle-aged voice from inside:
"Let it in."
"It?!" The Earl meant that the thing beside him wasn't human?! Bird Mustang couldn't help but glance sideways, scrutinizing the visitor from head to toe. "Even now, I can't tell at all, yet the Earl knows without even seeing my face..." Thinking this, he looked away and opened the door to the captain's cabin.
"Traveler Lorry" nodded slightly to the guide and strode into the room.
His gaze was unconsciously drawn to the tall figure at the far end, wearing a black iron-black chair, a pointed crown, and a long robe with a black base and silver trim.
At this moment, the deep voice of the "King of the Five Seas" rang out. "Sending something that isn't even human to visit you, is this the sincerity you speak of?"
He added a touch of "class" power to it.
As soon as the words were spoken, "Horror Viscount" Bird Mustang, who had not yet walked far from the captain's cabin, trembled, his soul unable to hold back his fear.
Just a door away.
"Traveler Lorry," completely unfazed, placed his hand on his chest and bowed, smiling slightly. "My master believes sincerity is only relevant to the conversation that follows."
--Having left the "Black Lady," it is now just an ordinary Illusions; without Spirit Body, it is naturally not subject to pressure.
The ability to communicate is a gift of order.
Nast, the "King of the Five Seas," paused for a few seconds and asked in a deep voice:
"Your master is ' Flower Bow Tie ' Jodson?" "A name is merely a code." "Traveler Lorry" slightly raised his head, looking at the tall figure in the chair, and said neither humbly nor arrogantly, "But no matter how the code name changes, my master is without a doubt the one you, Earl, believe me to be. That is beyond question. Please rest assured."
After a brief silence, the Pirate King nodded slightly:
That makes sense.
Having said that, he raised his hand, and a chair appeared behind "Traveler Lorry": "Sit down first, then express your so-called sincerity."
After nodding in thanks again, "Traveler Lorry" sat down and got straight to the point. "A deal, a deal you absolutely won't refuse."
Nast did not speak, but continued:
"The main terms of the deal were that he wanted you to publicly admit that you collaborated with Mumulik Solomon and orchestrated Burns Solomon's death."
Mumulik Solomon, Burns Solomon... Nast rested his hands on the armrests on either side, a Red Light flashing in his dark eyes:
"You're collaborating with the former, and deliberately lured me here?"
Looking back at the coincidences, it's not hard to see that.
"Traveler Lorry" shook his head slightly and said sincerely, "I'm sorry, Earl, I don't know the answer to the question; I'm merely following my master's orders."
Having said that, seeing that the Pirate King had no intention of stopping him, it continued, "Besides that, he has one more small request."
He hoped to use the Earl's connections to spread the news that he had left the "Golden Dream" and officially declared himself king.
As for the compensation...
It paused, then chuckled and asked, "Should the Earl know about the Card of Blasphemy?"
Nast's dark eyes flickered slightly upon hearing this, but his expression remained unchanged, clearly indicating that he already had some guesses about certain things.
"Traveler Lorry" cleared his throat and said, "I believe you, Earl, are also aware that this deal is not worth using a Card of Blasphemy as a bargaining chip."
Therefore, the reward that the master can provide is:
"When you need it, he can act as an intermediary to introduce you to the true owner of the ' Black Emperor ' card, but he is not responsible for any follow-up."
Whether you want the Potion Formula or the "Black Emperor" card, whether you can make a deal with the other party is irrelevant to him.
"Even if the other party refuses the deal, the Earl can still get the Potion Formula he wants from him, provided that he can pay the corresponding reward."
The true owner of the "Black Emperor" card... "King of the Five Seas" Nast gave the visitor a thoughtful look.
He then gave a barely perceptible nod. "Traveler Lorry," quite perceptively, pulled a pen and paper from his pocket, scribbled a few words, and let the note drift slowly towards the far end of the captain's cabin:
"This is how the master's Messenger is summoned."
"You can contact the Earl whenever he needs to fulfill his promise."
Lorry... reached out and took the note. Nast, the "King of the Five Seas," glanced at it and silently recited the last name in his mind.
A ball of Flames erupted from his palm, completely engulfing the note.
Then, he looked at the visitor:
"You can now tell me his title."
"Within three days, this name will spread Five Seas."
"Traveler Lorry" smiled broadly and said eloquently, "My master said that he actually doesn't like to show his face in public."
"But if a title is really needed--"
"King of the Curtain."
As it spoke, it stood up, bowed again, and placed its hand on its chest. "A pleasure doing business with you, Earl."
Nast nodded silently, watching the visitor's figure gradually fade into the distance until it disappeared completely. He then softly repeated the visitor's last words:
"The King of the Curtain... that does fit his style of behavior."
Judging from the Incantation used to summon the Messenger, "Flower Bow Tie" Jodson should only be one of his identities; his real name is Lorry?
"Or perhaps, this name is just one of many identities?"
With a surge of ideas, the most renowned Pirate King quickly abandoned the idea of investigating the other party based on the name pointed to by the last Incantation.
This name is not uncommon in the Northern Continent, but it is very difficult to create.
Furthermore, there's no need for me to investigate the other party.
With that thought in mind, he gathered his thoughts and carefully re-examined the contents of the transaction. His stern face gradually softened, revealing a slight smile.
Even if they don't take the blame for the other party, they are still regarded as traitors by the shadow of the Shadow of Order.
Whether such incidents occur one more or one less is of no consequence to either side; both sides consider themselves legitimate, and the hatred is inherently irreconcilable.
As for that small request, it was utterly insignificant. Having operated across the Five Seas for many years, he had countless informants and could easily fulfill the request by simply entrusting it to one of his subordinates.
However, the other party's reward was something he absolutely could not refuse, something he needed, something he had been searching for for many years without success!
He was quite certain that the other party's promise was genuine.
Within the order that has just been established, no Lie can be uttered.
The thought flashed through his mind, and he slowly suppressed his smile, speaking in a dignified voice:
Second mate.
This magnificent sound instantly resounded throughout the "Black Emperor".
A short while later, "Horror Viscount" Bird Mustang entered the captain's cabin, looked down at his feet, and respectfully called out:
"Earl."
Nast, the "King of the Five Seas," said in a deep voice:
Two things.
"First, prepare to enter the Spirit World and leave this sea area. Second, use our channels to spread the news that ' Flower Bow Tie ' Jodson has left the Iceberg Pirates and officially become king."
"Flower Bow Tie" Jodson officially became king... Bird Mustang nodded with mixed feelings, unable to help but sigh inwardly.
At the last Pirate Gathering, this person had to give way to me, but in the blink of an eye, he became the Pirate King!
Although rumors say that this is not a real skill, but rather the result of external help.
But on the high seas, might makes right.
Forget about external forces; only the survivors have the right to speak. Didn't you see even their own captain has started treating others as equals?
Who dares to question the discerning eye of the "King of the Five Seas"?
Thinking it over, he took a deep breath, cleared his jumbled thoughts, and performed a gesture of respect reminiscent of the Roselle era. "Yes, Earl!"
Inside a house rented by two women in Backlund, Cherwood Borough.
Living Room, Sofa area.
Slightly out of breath, Fors withdrew her hand, wiping away the fine beads of sweat from her nose. Her pale blue eyes filled with anticipation as she asked, "Feeling better now?"
Lorry opened his eyes and met a pair of smiling blue eyes.
He gave a soft "hmm," his gaze gentle.
Neither of them spoke again, and they gazed at each other quietly, with Lorry resting her head on Fors's slightly fleshy thighs.
This perspective gave him a unique feeling.
Even without consciously looking, her peripheral vision inevitably caught sight of the two towering mounds beneath the burgundy high-necked long dress.
Following the rounded curve upwards, one finds a fair and slender neck and a smooth chin, followed by two slightly thin red lips. Perhaps because they have been coated with lip balm or something similar, their surfaces are slightly glossy, and they move slightly with the wearer's breathing, opening into tiny curves.
Feeling the gaze upon her growing increasingly intense, Fors became restless and, suppressing her unease, changed the subject:
"You, why did you come back so suddenly today, and you look so tired?" Her eyes darted around, and two blushes quietly crept up her cheeks.
"Because I've been really tired lately, and a lot has happened," Lorry explained, reluctant to get up and without looking away.
After she finished speaking, Fors was silent for a few seconds, then looked down at him. "So... the first person you think of in a situation like this is me?"
"Hmm." Lorry nodded slightly without hesitation.
