"Torterra, Earthquake!"
As the powerful seismic waves from Paul's Torterra struck, Pikachu's Volt Tackle was interrupted.
Ash was utterly thrashed by Paul once again...
"Tsk, tsk..." Gary covered his face. He couldn't bear to watch.
Those two could leave their grudge until the Sinnoh League.
"All right, that settles your match for now." Gary grabbed Ash's hand and raised it. "I declare... Ash the loser!"
Ash looked resentfully at Paul. "Tch, so you were playing weak to catch me off guard."
Paul shot back, "No, I was always strong. You're just weak..."
Ash raged helplessly. "Damn it, say that again if you dare! I'll bite you to death!"
"That's enough!" Gary brought a chopping hand down on Ash's head. "You chose to use rookies. Who else can you blame for losing?"
"Damn it, just you wait!" Ash stared defiantly at Paul.
"Bring it on, bring it on..." Paul wasn't afraid in the slightest.
"Ding-dong..." Just then, Young Master Mao's phone lit up.
It was a message from Mii. The ten of each Starter Pokémon allocated by the Pokémon League had arrived at Gary's laboratory.
"I have a great idea~" Young Master Mao's eyes lit up.
"A batch of Sinnoh Starter Pokémon just arrived at my laboratory. Since neither of you is willing to back down, I can authorize giving you one each. When the Sinnoh League comes around, you can settle things with the Starter Pokémon you chose."
Ash and Paul exchanged a glance and nodded together. "All right, I agree!"
"Then tell me your choices. The Starter Pokémon have similar potential, and the selection is completely random." Gary spread his hands.
"I want Chimchar!" Ash said immediately. Paul's Chimchar had left quite an impression on him!
"Hmph~ Just you wait until you lose. I choose Piplup." Paul smiled slightly.
