Heath scratched his head. The man just now had looked a little like Giovanni, but on closer inspection, Heath had realized he was not Giovanni. Giovanni was a little taller than that man. Heath knew Giovanni's height very well, because Giovanni was just a tiny bit taller than Heath, by about a centimeter, while that man had been a little shorter than Heath.

It was easy to make yourself taller, but very difficult to make yourself shorter. As a Gym Leader, Mr. Giovanni had basic medical examination records, and Heath had seen them. He really was one centimeter taller than Heath.

Heath also found it hard to imagine Mr. Giovanni wearing height-increasing insoles with a serious expression. Mr. Giovanni would hardly do something like that; he was quite frank about things like his height.

So Heath was certain that the man just now could not possibly have been Mr. Giovanni. He was probably just someone who looked very similar.

"But come to think of it, Officer Jenny and Nurse Joy all look pretty much alike. A few people in this world looking similar doesn't seem all that strange." Heath yawned, then continued toward the bookstore with Zoroark.

Pewter City had many bookstores. Following the map's directions, Heath reached the nearest one. The bookstore had a sign shaped like a pickaxe, and its name was very simple too: [Ore Bookstore]. Heath thought the way people in the Pokémon world named things was quite interesting.

Heath went inside with Zoroark, but he did not accompany Zoroark to browse. Since Zoroark could now create a human appearance through illusions, Heath let Zoroark go look at books alone, while he headed to the lifestyle section to look at the cookbooks there.

"So this is an Ore Rock Bug?" Heath spotted a very interesting book.
