Banette

For that very reason, exceedingly few people could catch a Banette, or even its unevolved form, Shuppet. Heath remembered that the League's screening process was extremely strict, yet Kailunya had actually caught one and received the League's approval. That proved that the Banette really had formed a bond with her.

It was simply absurd, utterly absurd. Heath felt that if Kailunya really had that kind of talent, becoming someone like Agatha of the Elite Four in the future was no mere dream.

"...Kailunya, are you planning to become a Trainer?" Heath looked at Kailunya. Talented Trainers were hardly rare, and Trainers who specialized in Ghost-types existed too, but even those specialists might not catch a Banette. This Pokémon was like a double-edged sword, capable of hurting its owner at any moment. Yet Kailunya had done it and even received the League's approval. That really was absurd.

"Yes! My idol is Agatha of the Elite Four." Kailunya smiled even more happily. Heath scratched his head. It really was Agatha. But Heath remembered that, according to the Trainer information the League released every year, Agatha, one of the Elite Four, had never caught a Banette either. It seemed Kailunya really did have a talent for catching Ghost-type Pokémon. That was quite impressive.

Heath did not know what to say. Although he felt that Kailunya must have been the murderer back then, he had no evidence. Besides, judging by what he had heard from the neighbors and Officer Jenny, Heath felt that the deaths of those two scumbags seemed more like cause for universal celebration. That left him with somewhat complicated feelings about Kailunya.

So, after a few more awkward exchanges, Heath left. He would rather go find Zoroark than continue talking to Kailunya face-to-face.

Kailunya smiled as she watched Heath walk away.
