"Something red," Kyogre calmly added. He glanced at Heath again. The great being behind Heath could not possibly be unaware of this, but since that being had shown no reaction, it meant this was no big deal.

Still, thinking about it carefully, his affairs probably really did amount to very little before that great being, didn't they?

"Huh? Do you mean this?" Cynthia clearly thought of something when she heard Kyogre. She took a ring out of her pocket. Heath's eyelid twitched, and then he saw that it resembled a ruby ring. Although the piece set into it was red, it was not a gemstone, but an irregular stone secured firmly in place. It looked somewhat worn, too. He had no idea what the thing actually was, but then something else occurred to Heath-something concerning Kyogre.

Kyogre was a Legendary Pokémon from the Hoenn Region, as renowned as Groudon, though Rayquaza could keep it in check. In the game's story, however, waking Kyogre from its slumber required the Blue Orb, and then Kyogre would undergo Primal Reversion. Yet Heath vaguely remembered that the Red Orb had once been used to awaken Kyogre? He could not remember clearly. It had all been so long ago, after all, and he had no particularly strong impression of it. In any case, something of this color really did remind Heath of the old game's storyline. Looking at Kyogre's expression, though, Heath thought that perhaps this thing really did have some special significance to Kyogre?

"Yes." Kyogre narrowed his eyes. He could sense a restless power in this object. It seemed to contain earth power, but that reminded Kyogre of that lunatic Groudon, which was very irritating. After all, Kyogre and Groudon were not on good terms; their relationship could even be described as terrible.
