A dish with no meat, but one that tasted like meat and was delicious, too.
Heath had to admit that when he heard it, he wondered whether something was wrong with his ears. But after seeing the girl's certain smile, he felt she must be serious.
"Please wait a moment." Heath lowered his head and rummaged through his ingredient cabinet, then opened the refrigerator for a look. He hadn't bought many ingredients today, so making mock meat or mock chicken probably wasn't an option.
But Heath had spotted two other ingredients. If those two ingredients were prepared properly, getting a meaty taste out of vegetables wasn't impossible.
"I have something. Would you like it?" Heath clapped his hands, then asked the girl in front of him.
"Hmph, of course. But if it doesn't taste good, I'm not paying." The girl huffed, then found a chair and sat down, even wiping the table.
Heath didn't concern himself with the girl's strange attitude. In business, he encountered all sorts of customers, and he had dealt with plenty of bad-tempered ones.
On one previous occasion, Heath had encountered two customers who came to eat in broad daylight. There was nothing wrong with eating, of course, but they drank while they ate, then started making drunken scenes. It was incredibly aggravating.
If Officer Jenny hadn't happened to pass by just then, Heath thought those two might have overturned his little food cart. Thinking about it carefully, he felt a little regretful. If he'd known, he should have let them overturn it.
At least then Heath could have received some extra compensation or something.
