"Good morning, Cynthia. Would you like something to eat?" Heath looked at Cynthia in front of him, took a deep breath, and ventured the question. Although he was a little surprised to find Cynthia in his room, he had already given her access anyway. Besides, once they were married, Cynthia would certainly come in whenever she wanted, and Heath could hardly stop her. So he soon calmed down and asked her what she wanted. At worst, he could treat it as getting an early start on marriage and living together. That sort of life was actually pretty nice, anyway.
"Huh? Something to eat?" Cynthia paused, then sank into thought. Heath scratched his head, inexplicably reminded of a scene from movies and anime: a newlywed wife wearing an apron asking her husband when he came home, "Would you like dinner first, or would you like me?" That sort of lethal either-or question. Heath figured newlyweds might choose the first option, but after being married longer, most people would choose the second. After all, the ox could work itself to death, but the field would never wear out from plowing.
Cynthia, however, gave no strange answer. Instead, she smiled at Heath and said she wanted a hot dog, leaving him momentarily dumbfounded. Still, since that was what Cynthia wanted to eat, he could certainly make it. Heath quickly set the food truck's destination. Today, he planned to wander around Cerulean City's vegetable market and see what unusual ingredients it had, while also looking into other things, such as the city's specialty ingredients. If he could make a dish with them, perhaps he could finish his trip to Cerulean City a little sooner.
He had to admit that after taking their relationship a step further yesterday, he really did feel a little restless.
