The Blood Demon's Dharma Treasures were like a tiger given wings within the sea of blood, while the Daoist's treasures suffered its full suppression. Powerful though these sword weapons were, they were all weapons of slaughter, without the wondrous protective effects of the Yellow Jade Lotus. Thus, while contending with the Blood Demon's treasures, they also had to resist the filthy corrosion of the blood sea. In just one exchange, all seven swords were driven back.
The Daoist was certainly startled by the blood sea's power, but he did not lose his composure over it. Seeing Blood God Child looking down from above, seemingly quite pleased with himself, he used his own frontal sword assault as cover while forming a seal before his chest with his left hand and chanting:
"Five Elements Combined Fortune, reverse to the innate."
"Yin-Yang Interaction, return to nothingness and the void. Strike!"
As the incantation ended, Azure Pivot, Crimson Firmament, Tai'a, Autumn Water, and Tianyi all dissolved into rainbow light, then whirled toward one another like a tornado. Once they were completely pressed together, the five streams of rainbow light began to fuse further. Visually, it was like pouring five streams of colored ink into a whirlpool in a vat, their five-colored radiance drawing together and merging at the center.
Where the five colors became one, spell-light of unsurpassed brilliance erupted.
That iridescent radiance was not any single color. It was more like the inner surface of a white clam shell shimmering in sunlight: white at first glance, yet a closer look revealed a dazzling, dreamlike play of myriad colors.
In the end, the five colors became one, forming an iridescent wheel of light over ten zhang across. Nor was this wheel unchanging. To use the same comparison, it resembled the reflected light of a
