Biology
Pokémon are living organisms cultivated by inducing recessive Pokémon genes through Pokémon biological factors in experimental subjects. These factors are the basis of a Pokémon’s existence and become especially abundant during evolution. 127 195
Pokémon Factor
Pokémon Factor is the standardized name for the special substance present in Pokémon bodies. It supports their energy, development, inherited moves, and interactions with humans. 198 213

Inherited Moves
Pokémon moves are recorded in their bloodlines and Pokémon Factors rather than acquired through a conventional level-up system. A Pokémon’s physical condition, energy reserves, training, and repeated practice determine whether it can use a move reliably. 207 213 269

History
Discovery and First Cultivations
Research into Pokémon began with the discovery of unusual biological factors in Rattata and Pichu breeding fluids. Liang Xing identified these factors as the foundation of Pokémon existence and sought more precise observation equipment to study them. 127
The first major breakthrough came when Pichu Test Subject No. 3 evolved into Pikachu after receiving dedicated care from Xu Feng. The event proved that Pokémon could evolve through inherited genes and intimacy with humans, but also revealed their danger when Pikachu electrocuted Zhang Long after being provoked. 195 196
Regulation and Expansion
Pikachu’s electrical energy led to the discovery and naming of Pokémon Factor. Liang Xing subsequently proposed Pokémon Management Regulations, requiring physical examination reports for individual Pokémon and making trainers responsible for harm caused by their Pokémon. 198 199
As the Pikachu population grew, the laboratory built a Power Plant where they could exercise on generating wheels and supply electricity. Their egg-laying population required dedicated incubation research and the eventual establishment of a Raichu leader. 211 212 213
Pokémon Islands
Liang Xing established the Pokémon Islands as a remote breeding, research, and habitat complex centered on Sun Island, Moon Island, and Star Island.
