Looking at Lao Mo's heart, Convenience Store Owner-003 could not help sighing, but he said nothing more and began working.
He held Lao Mo's heart in one hand while releasing wisps of pale golden aura from the other. The aura kept condensing until it formed threads as fine as hairs.
Once formed, the threads wove around Lao Mo's heart under Convenience Store Owner-003's control. Soon, a golden net covered its surface, looking as though he had put a knitted sweater on Lao Mo's heart.
Then much of the multicolored radiance emanating from Lao Mo's heart was obscured, becoming almost invisible.
Next, Convenience Store Owner-003 gave it a gentle toss. The heart traced an arc, stopped precisely at the top of the corpse pile, then slammed down into it like a foundation piling.
The golden aura Convenience Store Owner-003 had wrapped around Lao Mo's heart tore a huge opening through the corpse pile like a tunnel-boring machine, carrying the heart deeper and deeper inside.
The corpse pile convulsed violently as though alive. Almost all the corpses trembled and began letting out hoarse, low howls of pain. Wave after wave of air surged out, battering Lin Yi's soul. In his daze, Lin Yi actually felt as though he was undergoing a weaker version of the Sanctuary's baptism of airwaves.
Convenience Store Owner-003 stood with his hands behind his back, quietly observing the changes before him, as though whatever happened from this point onward had nothing to do with him.
Lin Yi silently watched the time on his watch. About a minute passed before the corpse pile stopped releasing airwaves, but its trembling did not stop, and thick, oily filth continued squeezing out through the gaps between the flesh...
Convenience Store Owner-003 watched silently, then slowly breathed out. "Done..."
"Done? Uh... that's it?"
