Ch. 357The candlestick sculptures on the Stone Bridge

Lin Yi and Lao Mo crossed the storm-lashed Stone Bridge toward the Art Building while Lao Mo explained the history of its carvings and the danger posed by Black Moon Outpost. They entered the Covered Corridor with Grinning Angels and Night-Walking Species close behind, and Lin Yi sensed an unknown presence watching them.

  • Lin Yi and Lao Mo crossed the Stone Bridge as Big Goldie illuminated a path toward the Art Building, while hostile creatures followed without attacking.
  • Lao Mo explained how the candlestick carvings depicted Xenomorphic Sculptures and connected myths, ancient Apostles, and the supernatural.
  • Lao Mo told Lin Yi that Black Moon Outpost lay beneath the Art Building and had to be anchored to the Campus to prevent a catastrophic invasion through the Layers.
  • Lin Yi and Lao Mo passed through the stone arch into the Covered Corridor, where Grinning Angels and Night-Walking Species followed them inside.
  • Lao Mo used the Big Eyeballs' light to drive back the Night-Walking Species, while Lin Yi felt an unseen presence watching them from the corridor's darkness.

Ch. 358The overwritten Art Building lobby

Lin Yi and Lao Mo reached the Art Building lobby, where Lao Mo revealed that an Art Student had overwritten its appearance to hide a deadly trap. As Lin Yi began seeing through the illusion, blood mist and the true lobby emerged, while a mysterious voice calling his name raised new questions about his identity and altered memories.

  • Lao Mo explained that the sculptures in the Covered Corridor were Purebred Night-Walking Species, then used his domain to crush them and draw out their green powder.
  • Lao Mo told Lin Yi that a lantern-carrying Grinning Angel could be a transformed Dorm Supervisor, but hunting one would kill it and leave little chance of restoring its humanity.
  • As they reached the lobby, Lin Yi heard chains and a voice calling his name, and Lao Mo realized something had been reaching Lin Yi despite his lack of identity.
  • Lao Mo suspected Lin Yi's memories had been overwritten and said the truth would become clear soon; Lin Yi connected this to Tian Bufan's promise that the fifth day would explain everything.
  • Lao Mo revealed that an Art Student had overwritten the lobby's layout to conceal a trap, and Lin Yi used his pale golden flame to see the hidden blood mist beneath the illusion.

Ch. 359Flesh Mural, Obsession Sculpture

Lin Yi followed Lao Mo through the Art Building’s damaged hall, learning that the Art Students were sacrificing their bodies to hold back the gray fog and could become Obsession Sculptures. As they continued toward the Clock Tower to find Mu Daxian, Lao Mo explained how the sculptures guarded the hall and could fight Grinning Angels.

  • Lin Yi saw that the broken dome let rain and blood mist into the hall, while the Art Students and murals helped resist the damage.
  • Lao Mo explained that the Art Students were expending supernatural power to keep the hall’s wound from widening and that the hall was forcibly requisitioning power from visitors like Lin Yi.
  • Lin Yi noticed hidden sculptures watching him, and Lao Mo revealed that they were dead Art Students transformed into Obsession Sculptures by their powerful obsessions.
  • Lao Mo warned Lin Yi that Obsession Sculptures devoured supernatural power, defended the Art Building, and attacked anything that threatened their obsessions, including Grinning Angels.
  • Lao Mo led Lin Yi along the wall toward the Clock Tower, and Lin Yi reasoned that the Art Student Rules directed students to the Night Watchman because Obsession Sculptures might attack them too.
  • Lao Mo realized Lin Yi had read the Art Student Rules and silently resigned himself to the risks posed by Lin Yi’s leaking supernatural power.

Ch. 361Heading to the Gallery

Lin Yi and Lao Mo crossed the Art Building lobby, where the Art Students and Obsession Sculptures attacked the pursuing Night-Walking Species and Grinning Angels. They headed toward the Gallery, then entered gray fog that threatened to turn Lao Mo and prevented them from replenishing supernatural power.

  • The Art Students destroyed the Purebred Night-Walking Species that approached them, absorbing its power while suffering contamination from its impure auras.
  • The Obsession Sculptures and the flesh in the murals caught and dragged away several Grinning Angels, showing Lin Yi they could kill the angels outright.
  • Lao Mo explained that the damaged emblem on the stone platform was the Black Moon Outpost totem, and he led Lin Yi toward the Gallery to locate the Clock Tower.
  • Lin Yi followed Lao Mo through the corridors, reasoning that Lao Mo's authority made following him the rule he should obey.
  • Lao Mo and Lin Yi entered gray fog, where Lao Mo warned Lin Yi not to use an identity anchor and explained that the fog suppressed supernatural power and made him especially vulnerable to being turned.

Ch. 362All's fair in war

Lao Mo and Lin Yi fought their way through the fog-filled Covered Corridor, where Lao Mo used his domain to drain Hound-Shaped Night-Walking Species and Grinning Angels. They continued toward the Gallery with the angels’ wings transformed into Big Eyeballs, while the Night-Walking Species left behind merged into a powerful new creature.

  • Lao Mo used exploding Big Eyeballs to drive back packs of Hound-Shaped Night-Walking Species as he led Lin Yi through the Covered Corridor.
  • When their last lights ran out and the creatures lunged, Lao Mo told Lin Yi not to resist, then expanded his domain and drained the attackers’ Supernatural Power.
  • Lao Mo trapped several Grinning Angels but found no Lantern-Bearer; he cut off their wings, which transformed into four strings of Big Eyeballs.
  • Lao Mo told Lin Yi that they needed to hunt a Grinning Angel for its lamp and credentials, then hurried toward the Gallery with the new lights.
  • After Lao Mo and Lin Yi left, the remaining Hound-Shaped Night-Walking Species devoured the drifting Supernatural Power, merged, and produced a powerful, featureless creature that murmured about Fanatics.

Ch. 363Amon's Music Box

Lin Yi and Lao Mo reached the Gallery as Amon’s Music Box began playing, then pushed through its eerie halls toward the guidance Big Golden Retriever had left. A faceless Little Girl’s music and nursery rhyme stopped Lin Yi’s heart, but he recognized the Iron Chains behind her as a visual hallucination and forced his heart to beat again.

  • At midnight, Lao Mo and Lin Yi heard the Night Watchman’s Bell Sound and realized Amon’s Music Box had started playing near the Gallery.
  • Lao Mo hurled the Big Eyeballs to blast open a doorway and dragged Lin Yi into the Gallery, where they advanced through fog, shifting shadows, and unsettling artworks.
  • Lin Yi heard voices calling his name and a sinister nursery rhyme as a Little Girl in a black-and-red Lolita Uniform approached with a music box.
  • The Little Girl’s presence crushed Lin Yi and stopped his heart, leaving him collapsed on the Gallery floor.
  • Lin Yi saw Iron Chains emerging from the Little Girl and recognized the image as a visual hallucination, then pressed his chest until his heart began beating again.

Ch. 365That Was an Angel

Lin Yi and Lao Mo escaped the Gallery through a storm-filled passage while a colossal tsunami of Night-Walking Species loomed beyond the Art Building. Lao Mo revealed that the tsunami was an Angel as he perceived it, and the pair headed for the Clock Tower to confront Mu Daxian.

  • Lin Yi anchored himself through Lao Mo, found him in the Gallery, and followed him past a vanished girl and her eerie music box.
  • Lao Mo and Lin Yi opened an iron door onto a violent storm, fought off Night-Walking Species, and shut the door against their swarm.
  • Lin Yi saw the Night Watchman standing before a frozen tsunami filled with Night-Walking Species and a vast dark shape, while Lao Mo warned him not to focus on it.
  • Big Golden Retriever used a Searchlight to reveal another door in the Art Building's outer wall, guiding Lao Mo and Lin Yi into a passage toward the Clock Tower.
  • Lao Mo told Lin Yi the tsunami was an Angel as he perceived it and said only the Principal could contend with such a being; he then gave Lin Yi a tomato to replenish his strength.
  • Lao Mo said Mu Daxian might not be completely dead, and Lin Yi asked why he could absorb Lin Yi's supernatural power when he could not absorb the power around them.

Ch. 366Wolfing it down

Lin Yi wolfed down food and supernatural power after Lao Mo drained him to force his recovery, revealing a strange ability to filter and absorb energy. As they continued through the Covered Corridor, Lao Mo explained that Amon’s Music Box was created by the Apostle known as the Designer, who had designed most of the Black Moon Outpost.

  • Lao Mo explained that he had been absorbing Lin Yi’s supernatural power and that Lin Yi’s recovery had improved while carrying the burden of that drain.
  • Lao Mo drained Lin Yi to the brink of death, prompting Lin Yi to absorb supernatural power and devour food while filtering out unusable energy.
  • Lin Yi lunged for the remaining tomatoes after Lao Mo took his backpack, but Lao Mo slammed him to the floor and stopped him; Lin Yi remembered little of his feral behavior.
  • Lao Mo and Lin Yi walked deeper into the quiet Covered Corridor, where Lin Yi asked about Amon’s Music Box.
  • Lao Mo revealed that Amon had created the music box and was an early Apostle who designed more than ninety percent of the Black Moon Outpost and held the title Designer.

Ch. 367The Music Box's Secrets

Lin Yi learned that Amon designed Black Moon Outpost and created the music box that became a Forbidden Artifact, while Lao Mo warned him about the Little Girl he had seen. At the Night Watchman’s iron door, Lin Yi experienced a vision of someone forging the inscribed plate, and Lao Mo opened the door.

  • Lao Mo explained that Amon designed Black Moon Outpost, created the music box, and may have shaped its mutation through repeated voyages.
  • Lin Yi told Lao Mo he had seen a filthy Little Girl carrying the music box, and Lao Mo urged him to be careful and seek clues if she appeared again.
  • Lao Mo explained the Night Watchmen’s independent pathway, their role defending the Art Building, and why Mu Daxian had gone to the Clock Tower.
  • Lao Mo and Lin Yi reached the iron door bearing a Night Watchman maxim, and Lin Yi heard a sequence of chimes when he touched its plate.
  • Lin Yi saw a vision of a thin figure forging the plate, then Lao Mo pushed open the rust-covered door.

Ch. 368The stairs on the left

Lin Yi and Lao Mo entered the Clock Tower’s downward stair passage and used the left-hand stairs to leap between Layers, emerging on steps that climbed upward. As they approached the Fog Zone, Lao Mo warned Lin Yi not to be distracted by the Grinning Angels while the Night Watchman resisted the Angel’s descent.

  • Lao Mo used Layer Leap to slip through the iron door after Lin Yi, and Lin Yi worried aloud that their return route would be nearly impossible and urged Lao Mo to survive with him.
  • Lin Yi questioned why the Clock Tower’s stair passage descended, and Lao Mo explained that keeping to the left would reveal the reason Campus rules required people to use the right side.
  • Lin Yi held Lao Mo’s hand and followed him up the left side of the stairs, enduring spatial distortions as they crossed Layers and found the staircase spiraling upward.
  • Lao Mo explained that his Absolute Will anchored a Layer as a reference, and warned that Experience Students who took the left stairs could become lost and die, later drifting into blind spots as Corpse Sculptures.
  • Lao Mo warned Lin Yi to watch his footing and avoid the Grinning Angels in the Fog Zone, explaining that the Night Watchman was resisting the Angel’s descent while Angel Sculptures threatened his undefended back.

Ch. 369Finding the Target

Lin Yi and Lao Mo climbed the Clock Tower's Stairwell searching for a lantern-bearing Grinning Angel, while Mu Daxian's painted prisons began to fail. Near the exit, Lao Mo tried to free a lantern-bearing Angel from an Art Student's painting, triggering the Art Student's deadly prison Overwriting, which Lao Mo broke by draining the Art Student to powder.

  • Lao Mo explained that Mu Daxian had rushed ahead and that his death was likely weakening the Grinning Angels trapped in his paintings.
  • Lin Yi spotted an Hourglass-bearing Grinning Angel, but Lao Mo rejected it because its lamp fuel had run dry.
  • Lin Yi saw Grinning Angels reaching out from the paintings, and Lao Mo hurried onward, blaming the failing cages on Mu Daxian's declining strength.
  • Near the exit, Lao Mo found a lantern-bearing Grinning Angel held inside a painting by a deceased Art Student and reached to release it.
  • The Art Student activated a prison Overwriting around Lin Yi and Lao Mo, but Lao Mo tore through it and drained the Art Student to powder.

Ch. 370The Clock Tower's Face

Lao Mo freed the Dorm Supervisor from the Grinning Angel and took his identity card, then led Lin Yi to the Clock Tower’s face. As Lin Yi entered the storm-lashed tower, he discovered a giant ancient bell hanging beneath its spire.

  • Lao Mo petrified the Grinning Angel, extracted the Dorm Supervisor from its shell, and removed the translucent identity card from his wrist.
  • Lao Mo told Lin Yi the Dorm Supervisor could not be saved, drained his remaining supernatural power, and explained that the Art Student had also already been dead.
  • Lao Mo gave Lin Yi the identity of Dorm Supervisor-33-X0221119003 and instructed him to retrace his steps to the elevator shaft by the Lookout using the Kerosene Lamp.
  • Lao Mo crossed the invisible medium at the Clock Tower’s passage, and Lin Yi followed him through the wind and seawater spray.
  • Lin Yi recognized that the clock face’s reversed time reading was normal, then looked up and saw a Giant Ancient Bell hanging beneath the tower’s spire.

Ch. 372The imperceptible Clock Tower!

Lin Yi used Domain Insight to map part of the Clock Tower and discovered that his body filtered supernatural contamination from the storm, absorbing some of its power. He began perceiving the ancient symbols on the wall and heard fragments of mysterious voices.

  • Lin Yi saw Lao Mo being eroded by the storm and stayed back after a stray gust cut his skin.
  • Lin Yi activated Domain Insight, but Amon’s intricate Clock Tower design overwhelmed his perception.
  • Lin Yi recalled Tian Bufan’s advice about scouting vision in Warcraft and mapped the floor by moving through it.
  • Lin Yi saw the storm’s contamination enter his body, where it separated into supernatural power that he absorbed and expelled.
  • Lin Yi scanned symbols on a Clock Tower wall and heard brief, ancient voices in the storm.

Ch. 373Was It All "Designed"?!

Lin Yi suspected that his experiences at S City University had been designed in advance by himself or a group that included him, and he uncovered a new danger outside the Clock Tower. After a strange figure’s hammering steadied him, he sensed the viscous black substance clinging to the tower, but it attacked his Perception and forced him to retreat.

  • Lin Yi recognized the gaunt figure’s hammering as connected to the Night Watchman Iron Laws and suspected the figure had helped build the Black Moon Outpost.
  • Lin Yi connected his memories, the Art Building, and Tian Bufan’s promised explanation to a possible plan designed by him or by “us,” and wondered whether the seven-day experience had a special five-plus-two structure.
  • Lin Yi calmed himself by focusing on the gaunt figure’s rhythmic hammering and adjusted to the whispers while keeping Domain Insight within three meters.
  • Lin Yi extended his senses through the Clock Tower wall and saw viscous black liquid clinging to its exterior as invisible waves broke it into dust.
  • The black liquid gathered toward Lin Yi and damaged his Perception, so he withdrew his sensory range inside the wall while his Supernatural Power began repairing him.

Ch. 374The Night Watchman's Test

Lin Yi encountered the Night Watchman’s challenge on the Clock Tower’s spiral staircase, where invisible waves of force battered and nearly destroyed him. As his body regenerated, he realized the assault was a test with an answer and began examining how his damaged body worked.

  • Lin Yi sensed the black substance outside the Clock Tower reacting greedily to his Perception Ability before the Night Watchman’s oppressive presence addressed him and allowed him to try climbing upstairs.
  • Lin Yi recovered from the Night Watchman’s pressure and approached the staircase, identifying its invisible wind as a likely test.
  • Lin Yi tried dodging the first visible edge of the wind but was struck by the larger wave behind it and slammed into the wall.
  • Lin Yi returned to the first step and endured another wave head-on, relying on his supernatural power to repair his badly damaged body.
  • A second wave ravaged Lin Yi faster than he could recover, so he realized the staircase test must have an answer and began perceiving his damaged body.

Ch. 376Atop the Clock Tower, the Quantum Bell

Lin Yi endured the Clock Tower’s waves of air, strengthening his bones and body as he climbed toward the top. He reached the quantum bell and saw the Night Watchman strike it, sending a wave into the darkness that revealed a colossal, nightmarish creature outside the Clock Tower.

  • Lin Yi concentrated the golden aura in his bones and heart, gradually making his body resilient enough to withstand the waves of air.
  • Lin Yi checked his watch, realized it was already 1:42, and hurried up the stairs despite the waves tearing apart his flesh.
  • Lin Yi reached the final stair and passed through a strange layer into the Clock Tower’s distorted top floor.
  • Lin Yi spotted the Night Watchman beside the quantum bell and saw his immense phantom strike it, unleashing a powerful wave of air.
  • Lin Yi followed the wave into the darkness and glimpsed a gigantic, serpentine creature that appeared larger than the world containing the Clock Tower.

Ch. 377Toward the Night Watchman

Lin Yi reached the Clock Tower’s top floor and saw the Night Watchman fighting a shadowy, snake-like entity with the Quantum Giant Bell. The Night Watchman took control of Lin Yi’s body to guide him through the warped space, where Lin Yi found Lao Mo and spotted Mu Daxian inside a floating fragment.

  • Lin Yi wondered whether the shadowy entity was an Angel and whether the Night Watchmen guarded different realms with supernatural artifacts.
  • The Night Watchman said Lin Yi had made it up and compelled him to approach, explaining that he had wanted to see whether Lin Yi was qualified.
  • As the Night Watchman guided Lin Yi across the shifting top floor, Lin Yi observed its unstable space, gravity, and time, with the Night Watchman and Quantum Giant Bell remaining constant.
  • Lin Yi reached Lao Mo, whose body was riddled with holes as he handled the transformed Hourglass, now resembling the Old Kerosene Lamp.
  • Lin Yi noticed a floating fragment that appeared to contain an independent layer and recognized Mu Daxian inside it.

Ch. 378"You really did come here"

Lin Yi reached the Night Watchman, who revealed that Lin Yi had the dreambuilding trait and had been expected to come as part of an agreement. The Night Watchman sent him to find an item in the Art Building, warning him about the dangers of dream exploration, and explained that lost Dreamweaving Persons could return as Grinning Angels.

  • Lin Yi saw Mu Daxian mangled in the mirror world while Lao Mo tried to pull him out, then reached the Night Watchman and regained control of his body.
  • The Night Watchman said Lin Yi had kept his word and belonged to a second person with the dreambuilding trait, then rang the Quantum Giant Bell, whose waves further eroded Lao Mo.
  • The Night Watchman said someone had arranged for Lin Yi to help him and promised him a final payment in exchange for finding an item in the Art Building.
  • The Night Watchman explained that Lin Yi could use dreams and hallucinations to discover hidden information, but warned that Lord Amon's design made dream exploration perilous.
  • Lin Yi recognized the Night Watchman's admonition from his earlier hallucinations, and the Night Watchman explained that lost Dreamweaving Persons could return as Grinning Angels.

Ch. 379Sanctuary, Mingzhao, and Time Zero

The Night Watchman explained how Dreamweaving People became Grinning Angels and tried to persuade Lin Yi to explore the Black Moon Outpost’s hidden truth. After Lin Yi resisted, the Night Watchman noticed his Quartz Watch and recruited him to search for a supernatural item, beginning the process beneath Sanctuary.

  • The Night Watchman explained that Dreamweaving People’s lost souls possessed people as Grinning Angels, and described Mu Daxian’s past as a Dorm Supervisor and vessel.
  • The Night Watchman asked Lin Yi to weave a dream and offered to reveal the Black Moon Outpost’s true appearance, but Lin Yi refused and checked that it was 2:14.
  • The Night Watchman noticed Lin Yi’s Quartz Watch, realized something from it, and said Lin Yi had to help him search for an item for one hour.
  • The Night Watchman identified Sanctuary as a bell that stabilized the Outpost’s layer, and named the other creations Mingzhao and Time Zero.
  • The Night Watchman gave Lin Yi the dream identity Repeater and asked him to trust him absolutely; Lin Yi agreed and sat beneath Sanctuary.
  • The Night Watchman struck Sanctuary with supernatural power, and the resulting blast hit Lin Yi with crushing force.

Ch. 380Dreambuilding

Lin Yi endured the Sanctuary’s airwaves and used dreambuilding to send his consciousness from the Clock Tower toward the Art Building. The Night Watchman warned him about the contaminated creatures outside and the dangers of wandering beyond the Sanctuary’s protection.

  • Lin Yi noticed that the patterns on his watch matched the markings on the Clock Tower’s enormous clock face before the airwaves pulled his consciousness into a distorted dimension.
  • The Night Watchman guided Lin Yi to leave the Clock Tower in dreambuilding and search the Art Building, while Lin Yi realized that constructing a world like Minecraft might help him return safely to his body.
  • Lin Yi explored the dreambuilding space and decided to use the Sanctuary’s airwaves to search the Art Building, planning to return when three o’clock came.
  • Lin Yi saw dense black gelatinous creatures on the Clock Tower’s outer walls, and the Night Watchman identified them as a nest-type Night-Walking Species with powerful contamination abilities.
  • The Night Watchman warned Lin Yi not to let his will leave the Art Building, since the Sanctuary’s protection weakened with distance and he could be drawn toward an Angel.

Ch. 381What? You were from the same era as Amon?

Lin Yi learned that the Night Watchman had been created by Amon and the First Apostles to guard Black Moon Outpost, and that an unknown object in the Art Building might help stop the Angel. The Night Watchman forced Lin Yi to map the building with his perception by striking the Quantum Giant Bell, and the resulting wave shattered Lin Yi’s consciousness into fragments.

  • The Night Watchman explained that he was searching the Art Building for a unique object that the Angel was also seeking, and warned Lin Yi that the Angel tempted people with the knowledge they craved.
  • The Night Watchman revealed that Amon and the First Apostles had created him and other Night Watchmen to guard Black Moon Outpost and contain the gray fog.
  • The Night Watchman invited Lin Yi to become a Night Watchman, but Lin Yi refused, and the Night Watchman judged Mu Daxian unqualified for the sacred icon.
  • The Night Watchman noticed Lin Yi trying to search the Art Building cautiously and decided to force him to experience the building through a bell wave.
  • The Night Watchman struck the Quantum Giant Bell and ordered Lin Yi to let the wave carry his perception throughout the Art Building.
  • The wave swept through Lin Yi’s consciousness and broke it into countless fragments.

Ch. 382Rapidly shifting fields of vision

As Sanctuary’s blasts of air swept Lin Yi’s consciousness across the Art Building, he witnessed its students fighting and dying amid the Gray Fog and Night-Walking Species. His vision carried him through several dangerous places before he spotted Mao Feiyang on a stairway and realized he might be able to send him a message.

  • Sanctuary’s wind carried Lin Yi’s consciousness through the Art Building, where he saw Art Students struggling against Night-Walking Species and understood that the wind was weakening the Gray Fog’s torrential rain.
  • Lin Yi saw Living Towards Death untouched by the invaders, then encountered Little Girl in the Gallery, where Night Watchman pulled him away before she could trap him.
  • Lin Yi’s vision entered a cozy bedroom, but Night Watchman again warned him and dragged him away before he reached a picture frame on the desk.
  • Lin Yi perceived a deep, fog-filled well where black liquid climbed the walls and an unseen presence seemed to summon him, then his vision shifted away.
  • Lin Yi spotted Mao Feiyang among Art Students on an endless stairway, realized Mao Feiyang had heard him, and hurried to think of crucial information to pass along.

Ch. 383Stargazing Platform

Lin Yi explored the Art Building through his consciousness and discovered the Stargazing Platform, where The Starry Night nearly trapped him. After the Night Watchman pulled him back, Lin Yi identified several unusual places, including a little girl’s bedroom, and the Night Watchman asked whether it had a painting on the wall.

  • Lin Yi called out to Mao Feiyang, who murmured that everything was proceeding according to plan before Lin Yi lost contact with him.
  • Lin Yi discovered the Stargazing Platform and nearly sank into the call of The Starry Night before the Night Watchman dragged his consciousness away.
  • The Night Watchman explained that Lin Yi’s perception had distorted his sense of time and revealed that the pressure wave had damaged his body as it regenerated.
  • The Night Watchman asked Lin Yi to recall anything especially unusual, hoping it would lead to a particular item.
  • Lin Yi mentioned a moss-covered deep well, then remembered a pink-and-blue bedroom with a large white bear plushie.
  • The Night Watchman asked whether a painting hung on the bedroom wall.

Ch. 384The Little Girl's Identity

Lin Yi recognized the Little Girl from his vision, and the Night Watchman revealed she was the First Apostle known as the Law-Crafting Master, imprisoned in the bedroom. The Little Girl reached Lin Yi through the Sanctuary’s waves and guided him toward her bedroom before time resumed.

  • Lin Yi agreed to keep Dreambuilding so he could locate the bedroom, and he told the Night Watchman he had seen a Little Girl carrying a music box.
  • The Night Watchman revealed that the bedroom was a prison and suggested that the Little Girl herself had been its prisoner.
  • Lin Yi told the Night Watchman that the Little Girl had sung him a nursery rhyme, and the Night Watchman reacted with alarm and urged him to keep searching.
  • As Lin Yi entered another wave, the Night Watchman explained that an Apostle’s remains were buried in a well and identified the Little Girl as the First Apostle, the Law-Crafting Master.
  • The Little Girl’s presence halted time, reached Lin Yi through the Black Nursery Rhyme, and opened a path toward a rusty door that he understood led to her bedroom.
  • Time resumed after what seemed to be a single second, leaving Lin Yi disoriented.

Ch. 385At the bedroom door

The Night Watchman explained how the Law-Crafting Master was imprisoned in Time Exile and how the Black Moon Outpost had been exiled to a deeper spatial layer to contain the Root. Lin Yi reached a mysterious iron door that seemed to lead to the bedroom, then began to lose his memories of what family meant.

  • The Night Watchman told Lin Yi that the Law-Crafting Master had explored the Root, killed the companions watching over her, and been imprisoned by the other Apostles.
  • Lin Yi speculated that the Law-Crafting Master's aura might be causing Dreammakers to lose their Time Anchors, and the Night Watchman fell silent at the possibility that the Dreamweaving Master was responsible.
  • The Night Watchman explained that the First Apostles had used Spatial Exile to move the Black Moon Outpost and its layer away from the real world to contain the Root.
  • Lin Yi suddenly arrived in a candlelit corridor before a rusted iron door, and the Night Watchman warned him not to open it without first testing whether his consciousness could enter.
  • The Night Watchman suggested Lin Yi follow his instincts, and Lin Yi approached the door, where the familiar surroundings made him think his family might be behind it.
  • Lin Yi began to feel confused and could no longer remember where his family was or what family meant.
