Xia Xu caught them off guard with his sudden attack. After finishing off the werewolf who had not managed to transform in time, he immediately called out a warning to Olivia.
In reality, however, she had far more combat experience than he did. After dodging the bald werewolf's attack with a seemingly awkward roll, she used her agility to weave and dodge, gradually finding her footing.
As for A Tuo, that went without saying. He lunged ferociously, taking on several opponents alone, and tore one werewolf's throat apart right at the outset. His wolf-like howl seemed to exert a bloodline suppression, striking fear into the werewolves.

Amid the melee, the entire event venue erupted. Countless terrified cries for help, screams, and sobs were deafening, and the whole scene descended into chaos.
Fortunately, this was an open plaza, and the werewolves could not possibly stop the crowd from fleeing. They made no attempt to do so, focusing entirely on Xia Xu and his companions instead. In terms of casualties, the stampede caused by the panicked crowd was worse.
There were exceptions, of course. Those who stood in the werewolves' path were not so lucky.
Even Beastmen of sound mind became extremely irritable and bloodthirsty after transforming, and that was even more true of these werewolves forcibly controlled by the Gleipnir System. They showed no courtesy by moving aside, simply charging through everything in their path.
Yet living creatures could sometimes be strange like that. Despite their extreme fear and desire to survive, many people's response to danger was not
