"Oh? Who did you have in mind, boss?"
A sultry voice drew nearer with the click of high heels, and a smiling face came into view, though a hint of reproach lurked in that smile.
"You, of course, Sister Le Yao."
Xia Xu grinned and tossed out the teasing reply.
"All sweet talk. If you really cared about me, you wouldn't have failed to tell me about something this big."
Chen Leyao rolled her eyes at him reproachfully.
"It's not just sweet talk."
Xia Xu grinned. "Someone as beautiful and talented as you isn't easy to find, Sister Le Yao. Someone who has both is utterly unmatched. If I didn't already have a girlfriend, I'd definitely marry you and bring you home as my capable better half."
"Hah. Men."
With an alluring air, Chen Leyao extended her index finger as if to push him, but in the end merely tapped his forehead. "Are you looking for a wife or a secretary?" she said in exasperation.
"A secretary?"
Xia Xu froze for a moment before catching on.

Despite her naturally seductive appearance, Sister Le Yao was actually very dignified and proper most of the time, and she put on an aloof CEO demeanor around outsiders. He hadn't expected her to make dirty jokes too.
"I meant helping you with your work."
Chen Leyao had only let it slip because their familiarity had made her relax. Realizing it now, she immediately clarified with a straight face, lying without so much as a blink and giving nothing away.
But Xia Xu couldn't help laughing. "Sister Le Yao, I would've believed you if you hadn't said that."
