"Team Leader Liu, you never call without a reason. So, what do you need me for?"
Xia Xu walked a little way to a quiet spot off to the side and answered the call with a faint smile.
The caller was an old acquaintance, Liu Quande, deputy leader of the Logistics Team at the Nanhu Province Special Department.

Liu Quande spoke in his measured, formal manner. "An enormous Mutant Werewolf suddenly went berserk on Jinnan Road. It's a busy urban district, and every passing second means heavy casualties and property damage."
"Why come to me? Can't the Magic City Special Operations Team handle it?"
Xia Xu naturally understood what Liu Quande meant.
"The Magic City Special Operations Team, and even the Logistics Team's field personnel, are tied down by a large number of sudden incidents. They can't get to the scene immediately."
Liu Quande fell silent for a moment on the phone, then said, "Trying to stop this Giant Werewolf with ordinary police officers and field personnel alone could result in heavy casualties."
"So you thought of me?"
Xia Xu asked.
