They gathered at the head of the bridge in increasing numbers, seemingly agitated. Many paced back and forth, but their blood-red eyes remained fixed on Gu Cheng and the others, as though they were ready at any moment
to attack.
"Everyone, be careful! Something's wrong with these rats!"
Lao Hu warned them.
Fatty curled his lip. "You don't say! These little beasts look damned creepy!"
"Look at their eyes. They're treating us just like those insects!"
His words reminded everyone of the enormous rats gnawing on those insects earlier, and they all shuddered.
