Fortunately, they were Beast Tamers with plenty of stamina, and they also had resources that could refresh them, so getting little rest hadn't been a problem.

The Jinling Beast Taming Arena had spectator seating for fifty thousand, but Jinling's candidates numbered less than a tenth of that, so the interior looked very empty once they entered.
After all, only candidates were sitting in the stands. This preliminary assessment wasn't open to the public; only relevant staff and candidates were inside.
