No one had expected Dark Crow to suddenly bring news of the Black Tortoise General. Lu Ran put down his chopsticks and stared in surprise at Dark Crow, who had flown down from the balcony.
What had this fellow just said?
Dark Crow's eyes were covered with a black cloth, seemingly out of concern that its bleeding eyes would frighten the two beautiful ladies. But while the cloth concealed its eyes, it could not conceal its excitement.
Dark Crow gesticulated wildly and continued asking, "Great King, what should we do?"
"That place seems pretty far away."
Lu Ran looked at Dr. Gu and Manager Ying, who had also stopped eating. The woman and cat had fallen into thought as well.
"I fused a new trait into Dark Crow, greatly enhancing its power. It looks like its reconnaissance abilities underwent a transformation too."
Lu Ran bit his finger, guessing that Dark Crow had unleashed the Evil God's Eye in its swarm form to investigate.
Finding Black Tortoise using the "parts" it had left behind was certainly possible and a welcome surprise, but what was the turtle doing in the Dragon Palace?
By all rights, shouldn't Black Tortoise have been fighting for the Fishmen Empire right now?
"That turtle of yours developed a dragon bloodline under your care. Could the Dragon Palace have abducted it during a battle with the Fishmen Empire?" Manager Ying took a sip of fish soup to steady her nerves.
"Now that you mention it, something just occurred to me. In the scene we predicted back then, Black Tortoise was leading tens of thousands of Shrimp Soldiers and Crab Generals. But according to the latest intelligence, those are the Dragon Palace's main soldiers, not the Fishmen Empire's."
Lu Ran: ???
"Three families..." Dr. Gu said. "Three-Family Generals?"
"Damn."
