Raising a single Pet Beast capable of both attacking the enemy and protecting its Beast Tamer was far too difficult.
Clearly, the pairing of Léon and the Ice-Plumed Crown Bird had a major weakness: while fighting an opponent, the Ice-Plumed Crown Bird simply could not protect its Beast Tamer in time.
And as a Beast Tamer, Léon had little at his disposal to resist Dark Crow's curse.
He was nothing like Lu Ran, who could contend with his opponent's Pet Beast through his own combat strength.
