Su Ping listened quite attentively, too, but soon, unsure whether his eyes were playing tricks on him, he suddenly saw a patch of white fur appear on the desk in front of Poison Saint.
Su Ping focused his gaze and finally saw a little cat there, snow-white all over without a trace of any other color.
It looked utterly languid, lying on its back on the desk and licking its equally tiny paws with its little pink tongue.
As though it had only just woken up, it opened its mouth in a yawn, shook out its fur, and then stood up unsteadily.
Its orange-green, needlelike pupils shifted, then met Su Ping's gaze.
Su Ping looked as though he had seen a ghost.
For that instant, he almost genuinely believed the little cat had been there all along.
