Su Ping had far too much on his plate.

He still had plenty of research left undone, including ideas he had considered and even projects for which he already had a rough direction.

For example, his research into Dreamscape, or some of the breeding results he had obtained earlier.

Or, for example, the Regression Potion Ye Zhou had mentioned.

This was one of the breeding directions Su Ping had thought of at the very beginning.

Back when he had just started learning about breeding, he had stumbled upon some associated ideas about evolution while analyzing Wolf Smoke Grass's effects on wolf pets based on Woodheart's Magic Potion ingredients.

Regression.

The most straightforward example was making a Forest Wolf regress into a Wood Wolf.

Although regression could not increase a pet beast's strength the way evolution could, in Su Ping's view, its significance was even greater.

It was still that same theory from back then: a Wood Wolf that had regressed could develop additional evolutionary paths from its base form.

This would allow the expanded evolutionary forms and directions of pet beasts in that lineage to undergo more numerous, more tangible changes.

Some pet beasts possessed inherently powerful, high-ranking species traits that had evolved over long ages to adapt to changes in their environment.

However, that did not mean this was the best evolutionary form for those pet beasts.

Once they regressed to their base forms, developing more advanced, special evolutionary forms from other branches could utterly transform a pet beast's future and potential, remaking it from the bones up and turning its world upside down.

There were even pet beasts for which no further evolved forms could be researched, despite their initial species potential reaching Commander Rank or even Monarch Rank.

In the eyes of many Breeders and Beast Tamers
