Could they meet him, pay him a visit, and make his acquaintance?
For breeders, this sort of thing was nothing out of the ordinary.
The reason was simple, too. Breeders had always been this way. For many of them, their slogan was that breeding research knew no borders or allegiances. Everything they did was for the breeding profession and the advancement of Beast Tamer civilization.
Thus, they would neither consider nor act on many other concerns.

For more advanced breeding knowledge, better instruction, and more resources for experiments, they could naturally also leave the places where they had grown up to pursue further studies in countries supposedly capable of taking them further, or even join those countries.
