"Meow!" (I evolved successfully!)

With the destruction of the two lizards, one large and one small, Purple Cloud instantly returned to its adorably innocent appearance, the fierce gleam in its eyes and the sovereign aura and pressure erupting around it vanishing.

After breaking through to the elite rank, Purple Cloud had grown to a full meter and a half in length. Following its evolution, however, it had shrunk rather than grown, leaving it only about a meter long.

Its plump body and fluffy, oversized tail gave it a somewhat juvenile appearance, as though the adolescent form it had attained upon advancing had reverted to its childhood form.

This meant it could easily burrow into Xu Ran's arms for a cuddle again.

But Purple Cloud's utterly transformed appearance and far more powerful presence both proved that it had successfully completed its evolution and crossed the first threshold of transformation.

It had evolved from a commander species into a monarch species!

"Great job!" A smile appeared on Xu Ran's face as he reached out with both hands to catch Purple Cloud as it leaped toward him, then examined it closely.

Purple flames of light still burned on Purple Cloud's front paws, occasional arcs of electricity leaping from their edges, making them look quite threatening.

Just moments ago, a swipe of one such paw had effortlessly destroyed both lizards.

Yet when Xu Ran touched them, he felt only a gentle tingling that was not unpleasant, but rather somewhat comfortable.

Of course, none of that was the main point.

Xu Ran opened Purple Cloud's panel without hesitation.
