Noticing the Golden-Scaled Turtle's dejection, Xu Ran roughly guessed why it felt down and gently patted its head.
"It's perfectly normal that you aren't as strong as Purple Cloud right now. It's already evolved once, so it's stronger than you in every respect."

The Golden-Scaled Turtle tilted its head, a questioning look in its eyes.
Xu Ran shook his head helplessly.
Even without a contract, Supernatural Creatures that had interacted with humans could communicate with them to some extent. That was why he could get along smoothly with the residents of the Boarding Area, and why they could understand him.
But the Golden-Scaled Turtle had only just hatched from its egg. It was like a blank sheet of paper.

Even with Miniaturization active, the Golden-Scaled Turtle was still too big to live on the second floor. He could only let it stay on the first basement level for now.
But the Golden-Scaled Turtle wouldn't stay on the first basement level forever.
Once its proficiency in Miniaturization improved, it would be able to grow smaller. At the Starlight Level, it would probably be able to shrink to about Purple Cloud's size.
Then it would be able to live on the second floor with Xu Ran and Purple Cloud.
The same went for Starlight.
