Chapters 351–375 Vol. 4 Read

Ch. 351A call from Cloud-Gathering City

Xu Ran oversaw Can Can and Twelve advancing skills to four stars and Firefly reaching Marshal Rank before answering President Fang’s call in Cloud-Gathering City. Fang Canghai explained the Alliance’s population transfers and asked Xu Ran to join the Overlord Rank Beast Tamers heading to the Mysterious Light Passage in two days.

  • Can Can advanced Fertile Soil Bestows Its Body into the four-star skill Void Soil, which weakened attacks and restrained nearby opponents.
  • Twelve advanced Soul-Tethered Command into the four-star skill Soul Seal, which let Twelve control targets through prepared seals and grant them access to Twelve’s other skills.
  • Firefly spent nearly three hundred thousand constitution points and broke through to Marshal Rank.
  • Xu Ran went to Cloud-Gathering City after Fishing Enthusiast relayed that President Fang wanted to meet him.
  • Fang Canghai explained that the Alliance was moving vulnerable residents south and sending high-ranking Beast Tamers north in preparation for the threat from Beast Domain No. 8.
  • Fang Canghai told Xu Ran that the Overlord Rank Beast Tamers of No. 47 Beast Domain would gather in Cloud-Gathering City in two days and travel together to explore the Mysterious Light Passage.

Ch. 352The Mysterious Light Passage, the Mysterious Ruins

Xu Ran joined Fang Canghai and the Overlord-Rank Beast Tamers from several cities to explore the ruins beyond the Mysterious Light Passage. After crossing the passage’s deadly Unending Light, they reached a mysterious gateway, and Fang Canghai approached it.

  • Xu Ran met Fang Canghai, You Shengjiang, Hu Yun, and Qi Cheng outside Cloud-Gathering City, where Fang Canghai explained that the threat from Beast Domain No. 8 would not arrive soon and the Demonwood Half-Saint would protect the strongholds.
  • Zhou Qing and Du Chun arrived, and Xu Ran introduced himself as a Boarding Shop owner with branches in four cities; other presidents later invited him to open shops in their cities.
  • Qi Yuan and the remaining Overlord-Rank Beast Tamers arrived, including Zhuo Li, and Fang Canghai led the group northwest toward the Mysterious Light Passage.
  • You Shengjiang used Greedy Night’s power to shield Xu Ran and the Five Little Ones from the passage’s Unending Light as the group entered.
  • Fang Canghai led nearly twenty Overlord-Rank Beast Tamers to a gateway covered in mysterious patterns of light and power, then walked toward it.

Ch. 353A Mysterious Land

After being randomly teleported into a vast world with three suns, Xu Ran and the Five Little Ones explored a forest where Supernatural Creatures inexplicably hated humans. They found an Earth Vein Source Stone guarded by an armored Beast King, and Can Can prepared to test its Void Soil against it.

  • Fang Canghai opened the ruins with the help of several Light Element Contract Beasts, and Xu Ran entered the light membrane with You Shengjiang before being separated from everyone else.
  • Xu Ran used Starlight's Stargazing to survey the strange world and led the Five Little Ones into a forest containing Supernatural Creatures.
  • Firefly fought a Crystal-Gold Ape, and Twelve discovered that it hated humans despite apparently never having seen one before, then controlled it with Soul Seal.
  • Xu Ran and the Five Little Ones encountered more hostile Supernatural Creatures and followed the growing Earth Element energy toward a resource in the forest's depths.
  • Xu Ran identified an Earth Vein Source Stone guarded by an armored Beast King, and Can Can used Void Soil to block its sword strike before preparing a counterattack.

Ch. 354A glimpse of hidden secrets

Xu Ran and his Contract Beasts defeated the Armored Beast King and learned that its hatred of humans came from inherited memories of a lost war in another world. The Armored Beast King revealed the location of a ruined human site, and Xu Ran’s group headed there while an unseen creature followed them.

  • The Armored Beast King accused Can Can of betraying beasts, then burned its strength to attack; Can Can defeated it and left it alive.
  • Xu Ran explained Beast Tamers and showed the Armored Beast King his contracts, convincing it that humans and beasts could coexist in this world.
  • The Armored Beast King said its people had lost the Final Battle, been confined by humans, and inherited fragmented memories of that conflict from their ancestors.
  • The Armored Beast King revealed that humans had left a secret site nearby, now reduced to wreckage by passing beasts, and Xu Ran’s group set off to investigate.
  • Starlight sensed a faint presence following them, while a tiny figure hid behind a tree and feared being discovered.

Ch. 355A discovery beneath the rubble

Xu Ran uncovered a hidden formation beneath the ruins and entered a trial where he fought saber-wielding versions of the same person at different ages. While he remained unconscious, his pets guarded him and captured a round creature that had been spying on them.

  • Can Can discovered hidden pillars beneath the ruins, and Xu Ran and his pets raised seven of them from the ground.
  • The group found an eighth position in the circle, turned all seven pillars toward it, and activated a formation that created a ball of light.
  • Xu Ran entered the light, chose the saber, and began fighting a succession of opponents who appeared to be the same person at different ages.
  • While Xu Ran sat motionless, Starlight sensed his aura growing sharper as the pets watched over him and Can Can searched the ruins.
  • Can Can returned with a creature that Starlight recognized as the one that had followed them through the forest, and Purple Cloud eagerly proposed keeping it.

Ch. 356Skybreaker Six Blades!

Xu Ran endured his final battle in the consciousness space and received the first five strikes of the incomplete Skybreaker Six Blades. After leaving the ruins with the Five Little Ones, he learned that the Brightlight Blob following them was trying to warn them about quasi-overlord-rank Beast Kings ahead, raising questions about why it did not share the other creatures’ hatred of humans.

  • Xu Ran failed to defeat the sixth saber opponent, but the opponent’s final strike sent him the incomplete Skybreaker Six Blades, which contained its first five strikes.
  • Xu Ran woke and told the Five Little Ones that the saber art could help him and Starlight challenge a quasi-overlord-rank opponent.
  • Xu Ran discovered that the Brightlight Blob Purple Cloud had been holding was the creature that followed them from the forest, and Twelve confirmed it had no hatred toward humans.
  • Xu Ran led the Five Little Ones out of the ruins and used Starlight’s Stargazing to spot a bright light in a desert covered in flying sand.
  • The Brightlight Blob hurried after them and warned through Twelve that several near-overlord-rank Beast Kings lived in the desert, but Xu Ran decided to go there.
  • Xu Ran questioned why the Brightlight Blob did not hate humans like the other creatures in the ruins, and wondered whether its ancestors had a different role in their original world.

Ch. 357The might of the saber art!

Xu Ran entered the desert with his five pets and the Brightlight Blob, then tested the Skybreaker Six Blades against the Crow Beast King. He defeated the Quasi-Overlord with Lifeless Stance, leaving the group to continue deeper into the desert.

  • Xu Ran agreed to take the Brightlight Blob outside, and Purple Cloud carried it as the group crossed into the desert.
  • Can Can used its power to open a passage through the sand wall, and Twelve sensed Psychic Element energy deeper inside.
  • The Crow Beast King attacked Xu Ran, who used Cloud-Piercing Stance to wound its claws and drive it back.
  • Xu Ran used Hidden Flower Stance and Stargazing to repel the Crow Beast King's Dark Feather Annihilation, then rode Starlight up pillars raised by Can Can.
  • The Crow Beast King unleashed Dark Cross Slash, but Xu Ran used Lifeless Stance to break the attack and kill it.

Ch. 358Yangguang Heavenly Palace!

Xu Ran and Purple Cloud defeated five Quasi-Overlord Rank beings in the Flying Sand Desert, allowing Twelve to obtain a resource needed for its evolution. After the group left, the Yangguang Heavenly Palace rose from the ruins, and Fang Canghai explained that his fight with an Emperor Rank Supernatural Creature had triggered its power.

  • Xu Ran advanced into the desert’s center, where five Quasi-Overlord Rank beings gathered to attack him and his Contract Beasts.
  • Purple Cloud transformed into a blade, and Xu Ran used Rainbow-Slashing Stance to kill all five enemies with one slash.
  • Twelve collected the Fragmentary Seal of Reality and Illusion, a resource needed for its evolution into an Emperor Species.
  • Xu Ran’s group left the Flying Sand Desert, but a massive palace rose from the ruins and drew the attention of everyone inside.
  • Xu Ran reached the palace with Fang Canghai and learned that it was called the Yangguang Heavenly Palace and that Fang Canghai had triggered its power while fighting an Emperor Rank Supernatural Creature.

Ch. 359A standoff, entering the Heavenly Palace!

Fang Canghai and the Beast Emperors agreed to enter the Yangguang Heavenly Palace together, where its restrictions suppressed everyone stronger than Monarch Rank. Xu Ran followed and discovered that the palace’s main hall held nine colorful gemstones guarded by deadly pressure and a mystery tied to nine statues.

  • Fang Canghai confronted five Beast Emperors with his own Emperor Rank Contract Beasts, then negotiated for both sides to enter the Yangguang Heavenly Palace and claim whatever they could find.
  • The palace suppressed entrants above Monarch Rank, and its runes left Xu Ran and the Five Little Ones unaffected when they entered.
  • Xu Ran led the Five Little Ones into the palace’s main hall, where they spotted rare treasures inside nine gemstones embedded in the ceiling.
  • An Overlord Rank Fire Crow was crushed by the pressure as it approached the ceiling, and its blood strengthened the gemstones; a Fire Fox later died when its ranged attack triggered a deadly beam.
  • Starlight noticed that the gemstones had nine different colors, and Twelve spotted nine stone statues whose painted eyes matched those colors.

Ch. 360The secret of the statues

Xu Ran deciphered the gaze pattern linking the Main Hall’s statues and gemstones, then helped Purple Cloud break the stones in sequence and took the gargoyle eye for Can Can. He escaped into a Side Hall, where a deadly array around twelve pillars left him searching for a safe way to claim their treasures.

  • Can Can noticed that the statues were looking at one another, and Xu Ran traced a chain of gazes from the Black-Eyed Statue to the Golden-Eyed Statue, revealing the gemstone order.
  • A Fire-Element Giant Lion shattered the Black Gemstone and earned a reward, while another creature was killed for attacking the Purple Gemstone out of sequence.
  • Xu Ran sent Purple Cloud to shatter the Orange, Blue, and Green Gemstones in order; Purple Cloud seized the gargoyle eye from the Green Gemstone and returned it to Xu Ran.
  • Xu Ran warned Fang Canghai to watch the statues’ gazes, then fled through a low doorway into a Side Hall with the Five Little Ones.
  • The Jackal Overlord baited Xu Ran toward the twelve stone pillars, but Xu Ran sent Twelve’s phantom to scout and discovered that the array instantly destroyed it.

Ch. 361Blood sacrifice? Beast sacrifice!

Xu Ran uncovered that the side hall’s formation sacrificed Supernatural Creatures but allowed humans to enter once twelve lives had been taken. The humans claimed the treasures and advanced to the next area, while their Contract Beasts vanished through golden formations and left the Supernatural Creatures behind.

  • Xu Ran found murals showing humans sacrificing captured Supernatural Creatures and had Can Can conceal the final clue from their enemies.
  • Xu Ran told Fang Canghai and the other Beast Tamers that the formation would keep killing Supernatural Creatures after twelve sacrifices, while humans could enter safely.
  • When negotiations failed, Fang Canghai ordered the humans to push Supernatural Creatures into the formation; eleven creatures and one human Contract Beast died, unlocking it for humans.
  • Fang Canghai and the Beast Tamers entered the formation, claimed its twelve treasures, and Xu Ran subdued a saber named Do Not Pursue.
  • The humans moved toward the next area as their Contract Beasts held back the Supernatural Creatures, then vanished in golden light, leaving the Light Phoenix furious and vowing to pursue them.

Ch. 362Lucky Can Can

Xu Ran and Can Can uncovered a hidden chamber beneath the empty side hall of the Yangguang Heavenly Palace, where the Beast Tamers discovered a portal offering each person a chance to claim a reward. Xu Ran used the Insight Glasses to select a massive point of light and obtained Thick Earth Marrow, which Can Can eagerly stored away.

  • Xu Ran realized the side hall's opportunity might be underground, and Can Can found mismatched floor tiles that concealed stone pillars.
  • Xu Ran activated ten pillars, opening a black portal, while Fang Canghai and the other Beast Tamers held off the pursuing Supernatural Creatures in the passage.
  • Fang Canghai and the other Beast Tamers entered the portal in turn and received rewards ranging from a useless clue to an Emperor Rank resource.
  • Xu Ran drew the Insight Glasses, used them to identify the largest point of light, and selected it.
  • Xu Ran obtained a tiny but immensely heavy piece of Thick Earth Marrow and handed it to Can Can, who swallowed it for safekeeping.

Ch. 363The Second Tier!

Xu Ran discovered that removable dragon pearls could counter the gravity formation and helped the Beast Tamers reach the second floor of the Yangguang Heavenly Palace. As the beasts retreated after the Giant Dragon Beast Emperor was killed, the humans entered an independent garden space and encountered a strangely dressed man in a pavilion.

  • Fang Canghai led the Beast Tamers toward the second-floor staircase, but moving statues and crushing gravity forced them to retreat.
  • Qi Cheng discovered that the wall reliefs reflected force, and Xu Ran found a removable dragon pearl in a dragon-head relief.
  • Xu Ran led the first group of nine through the formation with dragon pearls, and the pearls returned to the reliefs so the second group could follow.
  • The Giant Dragon Beast Emperor charged into the formation and was torn apart by the statues; the Light Phoenix ordered the beasts to leave and gather outside to ambush the humans.
  • The Beast Tamers reached the second floor, found an elegant garden and a pavilion, and heard a strangely dressed man invite them to talk.

Ch. 364Days Long Past, the Yangguang Cultivation Method

Fang Canghai and the others learned the history of the Final Battle from the lingering obsession of a Yangguang Heavenly Palace expert, then received the Yangguang Cultivation Method to strengthen their individual power. The expert vanished after binding them to an oath to protect his world’s humans, while the Light Phoenix’s gathered beasts found their intended targets had disappeared.

  • The lingering obsession explained that humans and beasts fought a Final Battle, after which humanity sealed the beasts in Cangming Land and the Dawnlight Realm within the Cangming World Stele.
  • Fang Canghai asked for help against the calamity threatening his world, and the expert required everyone to promise they would preserve a chance for his world’s humans if the two worlds became enemies.
  • Xu Ran’s system nullified the oath’s effects on him, while the expert examined the Beast Taming Contract and devised a martial arts method to cultivate its feedback power.
  • The expert taught everyone the Yangguang Cultivation Method and sent them away before his remaining form and garden dissolved.
  • The Light Phoenix rallied a large force of Supernatural Creatures to ambush the humans, but the Yangguang Heavenly Palace vanished before they could emerge.

Ch. 365The envoy demanded answers, Half-Saints clashed!

Cloudcrow Half-Saint arrived in No. 47 Beast Domain on the Saints’ orders and confronted the Demonwood Half-Saint over failing to visit Beast Domain No. 8. The Demonwood Half-Saint refused Cloudcrow Half-Saint’s demand to accompany it to pay respects to the Saints.

  • Two Beast Emperors welcomed Cloudcrow Half-Saint and its four Beast Emperor attendants, then led them to the Demonwood Domain to challenge the Demonwood Half-Saint.
  • Cloudcrow Half-Saint and the Demonwood Half-Saint exchanged probing blows upon entering the domain, and the Ten-Thousand-Year Rock Turtle judged that the Demonwood Half-Saint had the advantage.
  • Cloudcrow Half-Saint heard the Demonwood Half-Saint deny that No. 47 Beast Domain had fallen into disorder, then shifted the discussion to its recent breakthrough into the Half-Saint realm.
  • Cloudcrow Half-Saint demanded to know why the Demonwood Half-Saint had not visited Beast Domain No. 8 within a month of evolving into the Holy Spirit Race.
  • The Demonwood Half-Saint claimed its breakthrough was unstable and that it was not yet a true Holy Spirit, then refused to accompany Cloudcrow Half-Saint to meet the Saints.

Ch. 366A battle between Half-Saints

Demonwood Half-Saint fought and killed Cloudcrow Half-Saint after the envoy attacked it, then returned to the Demonwood Domain with rare resources from Cloudcrow Half-Saint's belongings. It spared the surviving Beast Emperors and planned to send them back to Beast Domain No. 8, despite having killed their envoy.

  • Demonwood Half-Saint attacked Cloudcrow Half-Saint in the Demonwood Domain, and Cloudcrow Half-Saint escaped beyond its borders to fight on more favorable ground.
  • Cloudcrow Half-Saint used Greater Dimensional Slash and spatial manipulation against Demonwood Half-Saint, but Demonwood Half-Saint countered with its order skills and struck it down.
  • Cloudcrow Half-Saint entered holy spirit form and believed Demonwood Half-Saint could not do the same, but Demonwood Half-Saint also transformed and defeated it.
  • Demonwood Half-Saint restored the ruined land, collected rare resources from Cloudcrow Half-Saint's fallen belongings, and destroyed and buried its remains.
  • Demonwood Half-Saint returned to the Demonwood Domain, where its Beast Emperors restrained the six Beast Emperors present; it declared Cloudcrow Half-Saint dead and said the survivors could return to Beast Domain No. 8.

Ch. 367The outside help plan

After returning from the Dawnlight Realm, Xu Ran and the other Beast Tamers debated whether to reveal the Yangguang Cultivation Method or trade it for help from an Epic-Rank expert. When Demonwood Half-Saint revealed that they had killed a Half-Saint envoy and exposed their Holy Spirit Form, Fang Canghai set out for Abyssbreak City with Xu Ran to recruit Zhou Polu, leaving the cities to prepare for war.

  • Fang Canghai proposed keeping the Yangguang Cultivation Method secret and offering it to an Epic-Rank Beast Tamer in exchange for help defending No. 47 Beast Domain.
  • Qi Yuan suggested confirming whether the trade would work before making the method public, and Demonwood Half-Saint arrived and reported killing an envoy from Beast Domain No. 8 after revealing their Holy Spirit Form.
  • Fang Canghai ordered the Beast Tamers to return to their cities, keep the method secret, and prepare for war while he traveled to Abyssbreak City.
  • Fang Canghai asked Xu Ran to accompany him and demonstrate the Yangguang Cultivation Method to Zhou Polu, and Xu Ran agreed.
  • On the journey, Fang Canghai explained how the Zhou Family could gain an advantage by acquiring the method early, while Xu Ran began preparing to improve his strength before their arrival.
  • Xu Ran let the Brightlight Blob stay with him after it trembled at the danger of the outside world.

Ch. 368An Unexpected Turn in the Yangguang Cultivation Method

Xu Ran began practicing the Yangguang Cultivation Method and discovered that his contract power could absorb the spiritual sense he created, strengthening itself. Fang Canghai explained the unexpected cycle and decided the discovery would help persuade Zhou Polu to act as they continued toward Abyssbreak City.

  • Xu Ran studied the Yangguang Cultivation Method and quickly formed his first drop of primal energy, which multiplied as it circulated through his meridians.
  • Xu Ran visualized the great sun and began converting primal energy into spiritual sense, whereupon his fifth-stage contract power appeared around it.
  • Fang Canghai asked Xu Ran to meditate on his contract power, and Xu Ran discovered it was siphoning his spiritual sense to grow stronger.
  • Fang Canghai explained that the method traded some of a Beast Tamer’s individual strength for stronger contract power, and Xu Ran accepted the exchange.
  • Fang Canghai said they would still go to Abyssbreak City, since the discovery improved their chances of persuading Zhou Polu to act.

Ch. 369First arrival at Abyssbreak City

Xu Ran and Fang Canghai arrived at Abyssbreak City, where Fang Canghai explained the city’s role in guarding the Abyss of the Dead and arranged to report to the Beast Tamer Association. Xu Ran found that two rare evolution materials were sold out, though he obtained other supplies and learned that Can Can’s evolution still required substantial preparation.

  • Xu Ran continued practicing the Yangguang Cultivation Method and used its combined power to cut a small hill in half with Skybreaker Six Blades.
  • Fang Canghai brought Xu Ran to Abyssbreak City and explained that the floating city guarded the dangerous Abyss of the Dead, where seven Saint Spirit Rank beings had fallen.
  • Fang Canghai told Xu Ran that Abyssbreak City’s Beast Tamer Association welcomed Zhou Polu’s help and that the imperial family held authority over the city.
  • Fang Canghai went to report to an Association vice president while Xu Ran registered his account and checked the redemption listings, finding that shattered world cores and star-guarding stones were sold out.
  • Xu Ran ordered Glorious Jade, Eternal Tribulation Dew, and emperor-rank blood essence, and the Association delivered the resources within minutes.
  • Can Can celebrated collecting its evolution materials, but Xu Ran explained that it still needed to upgrade skills and meet difficult evolution conditions; Starlight remained disappointed because it still lacked a star-guarding stone.

Ch. 370Between Holy Spirits

Xu Ran met the imperial siblings Aike and Ailan in the Beast Tamer Association, then learned that the Half-Saint in No. 47 Beast Domain had become a target of the Beast Domain’s saints. The chapter ended with Ailan hinting that some human Holy Spirits also opposed the emergence of another Deer-Profound Holy Spirit.

  • Aike approached Xu Ran and tried to learn where Starlight’s species came from, but Xu Ran refused to explain its unusual origins.
  • Ailan interrupted Aike, and Fang Canghai later told Xu Ran that Ailan was the Eldest Imperial Daughter and Aike was the Fourteenth Imperial Prince.
  • Ailan learned that Xu Ran came from No. 47 Beast Domain and refused Aike’s request to send people there to find a similar Contract Beast.
  • Ailan explained that the Beast Domain’s saints feared the neutral Half-Saint in No. 47 Beast Domain resembled the Deer-Profound Holy Spirit and planned to send Half-Saints to capture it.
  • Ailan revealed that the mysterious Half-Saint had killed an envoy and said that some human Holy Spirits also opposed another Deer-Profound Holy Spirit emerging.

Ch. 371Bro, are you really that fearless?

After balancing his powers through the Yangguang Cultivation Method, Xu Ran accompanied Fang Canghai to meet Zhou Polu and demonstrate his personal combat strength. At the Zhou Family training grounds, Xu Ran chose Zhou Huanfeng and his Demon Abyss Dragon for the first of three matches, while Ji Xuan noticed that Xu Ran's saber was unusual.

  • Xu Ran completed three days of preparation, brought his Contract Beasts with him, and headed to the Zhou Family with Fang Canghai.
  • Zhou Polu told Ji Xuan about the Yangguang Cultivation Method and its proposed exchange for help in No. 47 Beast Domain, and the two agreed on a deal.
  • Xu Ran met Zhou Polu and Ji Xuan, then confidently claimed he could fight a Monarch Rank Emperor Species without using his Contract Beasts.
  • Zhou Polu gathered the Zhou Family's King-Rank juniors and arranged three sparring matches for Xu Ran against their strongest Contract Beasts.
  • Xu Ran chose Zhou Huanfeng as his first opponent, and Zhou Huanfeng summoned his Demon Abyss Dragon as Ji Xuan studied Xu Ran's Mo Zhui Saber.

Ch. 372Ji Xuan drew his blade

Xu Ran defeated Zhou Huanfeng’s Demon Abyss Dragon by countering its suppression and striking with his Skybreaker Six Blades, drawing the attention of Ji Xuan, the Blade Saint. Ji Xuan challenged Xu Ran to a saber spar, and Xu Ran recognized him as the mysterious master who had first inspired his saber arts.

  • Xu Ran shattered the Demon Abyss Dragon’s breath with Hidden Flower Form and charged at it, impressing Ji Xuan and easing Fang Canghai’s worries.
  • The Demon Abyss Dragon used Monarch’s Might and Emperor’s Crown to suppress Xu Ran, but Xu Ran combined divine sense, blood vitality, and essence power to break free and wound its claw with Cloud-Piercing Stance.
  • Xu Ran followed with Moon-Breaking Stance, but Zhou Polu intervened and declared Xu Ran the winner of the match against Zhou Huanfeng.
  • Ji Xuan stepped onto the platform, offered to suppress his strength to King-Rank, and challenged Xu Ran to spar; Xu Ran attacked first with Rainbow-Slashing Stance.
  • Ji Xuan drew his saber and broke Xu Ran’s attack with one slash, prompting Xu Ran to recognize him as the master who had once slain a Lightning Element Beast Emperor and left behind the Broken Blade.

Ch. 373Beasts from the Upper Domain Arrive

Xu Ran’s display of Ji Xuan’s Blade Intent impressed Zhou Polu, who arranged for Ji Xuan to help No. 47 Beast Domain. As the invasion devastated the domain and the Demonwood Half-Saint vanished, Ji Xuan arrived with Fang Canghai and Xu Ran, killed six enemy Half-Saints, and returned with proof of victory.

  • Xu Ran used Blade Intent he had learned from Ji Xuan’s broken blade, prompting Ji Xuan to end their spar and Zhou Polu to invite Fang Canghai to negotiate.
  • Zhou Polu agreed to protect the Yangguang Cultivation Method’s source for a year in exchange for it, while Ji Xuan accepted a deal to kill any Half-Saints who came to No. 47 Beast Domain.
  • A Beast Emperor led an army from Beast Domain No. 8 across the border, and the invaders captured Youhan City and demanded the Demonwood Half-Saint’s death.
  • The Demonwood Half-Saint fought three enemy Half-Saints, killing one and wounding two, but later disappeared as the invasion resumed and two more strongholds fell.
  • Fang Canghai, Xu Ran, and Ji Xuan reached Cloud-Gathering City, where they learned six enemy Half-Saints remained in the invading army.
  • Ji Xuan went to confront the six Half-Saints and returned an hour later carrying six bloodstained epic-rank resources.

Ch. 374The Star Source Lit Up

After Ji Xuan’s victories stalled Beast Domain No. 8’s invasion, Xu Ran discovered a massive enemy army crossing the Cold Dragon River and learned that one of its members carried Star-Guarding Stone. Ji Xuan demanded the resource for Starlight’s evolution, but it belonged to a pampered heir who refused to give it up.

  • Ji Xuan explained that he could not intervene against forces below Half-Saint rank, so Xu Ran asked him to scout the Cold Dragon River for enemy reinforcements.
  • Ji Xuan transported Xu Ran and the Five Little Ones to a hill overlooking the river, where they saw a vast army crossing and more than a hundred emperor species arriving.
  • Starlight’s Star Source began glowing, revealing that one of the arriving creatures carried Star-Guarding Stone.
  • A Beast Emperor nearly attacked Xu Ran but recognized Ji Xuan and knelt; Ji Xuan then demanded Star-Guarding Stone as payment for the trip.
  • The Beast Emperor learned that the stone belonged to a Monarch Rank heir of a Beast Saint, who refused to surrender it, leaving the Beast Emperor unsure how to answer Ji Xuan.

Ch. 375The Star-Guarding Stone Arrives, Starlight Evolves!

Xu Ran obtained the Star-Guarding Stone from the Emperor Species of Beast Domain No. 47 and returned to prepare for the coming war. In Mysterious Star City, he used the City-Guarding Star Formation to help Starlight evolve into the Nebula Guardian.

  • The leading Beast Emperor persuaded the gathered Emperor Species to surrender the Star-Guarding Stone, and the Monarch Rank Emperor Species handed it over to Ji Xuan and Xu Ran.
  • Xu Ran reported Beast Domain No. 8's reinforcements to Fang Canghai, who gave him battle plans to deliver to Minghui City, Mysterious Star City, and Demonwood City.
  • Xu Ran delivered the plans and asked Qi Yuan to divert the City-Guarding Star Formation's power to support Starlight's evolution; Qi Yuan agreed to let him use one-tenth of the formation's star power that night.
  • At the Star-Guiding Platform, Xu Ran completed Starlight's final star advancements, and Qi Yuan directed the formation's starlight onto it.
  • Starlight successfully evolved into the Emperor Species Nebula Guardian.
