Xiang Weisha challenged the Ancient God, Divine General, in a duel above the Blood Dragon Sea, and their fight shattered the Ring-Void Arena. After Divine General struck him with overwhelming force, Xiang Weisha recovered and continued battling, with both combatants growing stronger as they fought.
Xiang Weisha fought Divine General, learned that his opponent had been teaching him while secretly setting up a finishing strike, and studied the deeper strategy behind combat. Seeking to turn that insight into instinct, he entered the Apotheosis Trial’s fifth reincarnation, then returned to the game to continue the experience.
After completing the Watching Chess, Outsider Path, and Conquest reincarnations, Xiang Weisha reconciled calm calculation with fearless battle intent and rebuilt his Life Soul setup around his twin pressure domains. Having emerged from the Testing Tower with six new Life Souls, he headed back to the arena to challenge the Divine General again.
Qi Sheng surveyed the changing balance of power in Monster World and on Earth, including the Dark Tide, Earth’s defenses, and the Player Faction’s new training system. After reviewing the Players’ progress, he received information from Guide about hidden updates and turned his attention toward Earth.
As his life neared its end, Li Tie retraced the Veteran Corps’ old journey in Monster World and said goodbye to his granddaughter and great-granddaughter. After he died in the Real World, he awoke in an unfamiliar player space and discovered that his long-dead comrades were all online again.
Li Tie reunited with the Wallbreaker Battle Group in Conquest Space and learned that dead players continued to exist in Monster World, though they were trapped in Conquest Land. He joined his comrades’ goal of opening a route to the living world, then discovered that dying now incurred a costly revival debt.
Li Tie and the Veteran Corps cleared the dangerous outskirts of Conquest Land’s north sector, then remembered the comrades who died before Monster World offered them a new life. Li Tie gave the veterans a new goal: opening a way through Conquest Land, and led them onward.
Qi Sheng reviewed the contrasting systems for living and deceased players and created a Memorial Space where the living could remember the dead. Its opening stirred grief and debate among the living, while offerings sent to the dead provoked complaints and intensified their determination to break through the barrier and return.
Qi Sheng watched the forum celebrate three generations of legendary warbands and argue over a ranking of the greatest players. As the debate devolved into insults, he turned his attention to the major battlefields where the Player Faction fought alien civilizations.
Divine King spent seven years cultivating the hundred forms life soul through a hundred lives, completing his final teacher experience in the Divine Sealed Minor World. He gave the alliance’s prodigies a last lecture, tore open the world’s barrier, and returned home, leaving behind a legend as the Preacher.
Divine King reviewed Divine Hall’s reforms and learned that Azure Edge had challenged him to a million-player battle. After studying Azure Edge’s command style and reproducing its logic, Divine King sent him a friend request, preparing to answer the challenge.
Divine Hall and Azure Edge Chasing Waves met in a million-player arena battle with equalized stats, pitting Divine King's veteran command against Azure Edge's modern tactics. Azure Edge's maneuvers were repeatedly anticipated by Divine King, leaving him shaken as the battle remained unresolved.
Divine King used his dual-track deductions to lead Divine Hall to a crushing victory over Azure Edge Chasing Waves, then accepted a challenge from the six strongest rising guilds to fight with six million troops against his one million. As the forum doubted Divine Hall could win, Divine King began modeling the rival commanders’ tactics and declared that the advantage was his.
Divine King led the Divine Hall Guild against six million elites from the new generation’s top guilds in an Arena Duel, using meticulous control, battlefield-wide perception, and Space Leap to turn their encirclement into chaos. Divine Hall won after a twenty-three-hour battle, and Divine King’s surviving troops celebrated the return of their guild’s era.
Over sixty years in Monster World, the Player Faction grew into one of the Pale Continent’s two strongest powers, with Star Network becoming its first Divine Realm expert and containing Eternity and Big Mushroom. As players debated the fading of their veteran generation, Qi Sheng saw that their legends continued elsewhere and turned his attention to the Lord of Rot’s final trial, with Star Network having thirty-two years to prepare.
The Lord of Rot consumed Slaying Eye and ascended to Demon God, then unleashed the Great Evil Moon over the Pale Continent. As its races prepared for a desperate fight, he captured and subjugated the Blue Lantern Race, beginning his campaign of conquest.
The Dark Tide launched its first conquest of Earth, while Divine King learned that the invasion had crossed from Monster World into reality. He ended the chapter staring at the apocalyptic sky and realizing the game was invading the real world.
As the Dark Tide invaded Earth, Star Network revealed that Monster World was real and that the crisis had been building for a century, exposing several figures from that world who had secretly lived on Earth. Divine King received an order to command Freedom City’s War Department, then heard a prompt announcing that his player powers were loading into his real body.
Player Attribute Feedback restored players’ powers and bodies in reality as the Dark Tide engulfed Earth, turning widespread despair into battle resolve. The chapter ended with players across the world preparing to fight the Dark Tide with their returned abilities and resources.
Earth’s players received full attribute feedback and launched a counterattack against the Dark Tide, while the twenty-three Monarchs identified them as the Player Race and prepared to fight them directly. Divine King gathered the Divine Hall Guild in Freedom City as the Monarchs began unleashing their power.
Star Network secretly tested whether players could escape death by abandoning their real-world bodies and learned that doing so erased their powers and killed their Player Bodies as well. Earth’s players defeated the twenty-three Dark Tide Monarchs, but the Lord of Rot noticed Star Network’s use of Time Reversal as the chapter ended.
The Lord of Rot descended on Earth and overwhelmed the players, while Star Network learned that deaths in the Real World were permanent. After players sacrificed themselves to strengthen him, Star Network found a way to resist by rewinding Earth's timeline while preserving the players' Origin Primordial Traits, and began the reversal.
The Star Network reversed Earth’s timeline by a million years, created the Heavenly Dao Examiner to test future civilizations, and divided Earth into the Main World and Spirit Realm before merging with spacetime. Qi Sheng fortified the new world with an enduring energy source and a hidden defense against the Lord of Rot, then foresaw that Mu Qing would inherit its power.
Qi Sheng observed countless reincarnations of Earth and sealed its spacetime against the Lord of Rot, protecting a future civilization’s chance to defeat him. In the Conquest Space, newly deceased players reunited with their departed friends before Guide announced a major system update that would erase the divide between reality and the virtual.
The major update gave players new respawn options, reproduction, and access to Conquest Space, while Star Network explained that Earth had been sealed in a time loop to develop a civilization capable of defeating the Lord of Rot. Reassured that erased villagers could return and that they had infinite lifespans, the players welcomed a new outlook on life as Qi Sheng turned his attention to the Against the Tide Legion.
