Mu You and the others explored a mirage-filled area where green spots, increasing heaviness, and forced sleep afflicted them. The Lamp Genie identified it as the Mirage Tapir’s sleeping grounds and explained the powders’ protective effects, while Mu You learned that mirages showed real nearby places and that Dream-Breaking Light Orbs could reveal them temporarily.
Mu You explored the Abandoned Ancient City, collected Dream-Breaking Insect Eggs, and eventually found and lit a Soul-Guiding Lamp. The lamp proved to be bait for a swarm of Mirage Crabs, and Mu You discovered that the city might lie on the Mirage Tapir’s body before he struck a crab’s vulnerable joint and claimed its severed pincer.
Mu You returned to the Dark Forest with Vivian after learning that the Blood Coffin could restore her body but not the lifespan she had exhausted. The Forest Spirit rewarded him for cleansing its core, but revealed that the Secret Art Church had already secured five heavily contaminated cores from the Forest Spirits.
Mu You negotiated with the Forest Spirits to recover five dangerous cores, then traveled to the Great Abyss to help the Herbalist confront a regenerating mechanical creature. He discovered the machine could drain magic and had countless overlapping health bars, leaving him without an obvious way to defeat it.
Mu You and the Herbalist lured the endlessly reviving robot to Wind-Eroded Valley, where the Qilin Arm weakened its recovery but could not stop it. After pulverizing the robot, they discovered a surviving fragment was activating a backup production plan and resetting its mission against the Herbalist.
Mu You entered the Lohmadi Great Abyss with the Herbalist to investigate the source of the robots, discovering that his Mecha Skin could withstand the Abyss’s hazards. Two stronger robots appeared and attacked them, so Mu You and the Herbalist trapped them in a canyon and had the Shadow Fluffball seal them away.
Mu You plunged through the Abyss to its twenty-fourth layer, where he found that his Mecha Skin reacted to something buried beneath the bone-filled silt. After drilling through hundreds of meters of bones, he uncovered a shield enclosing a small world below and forced an opening in it with the Qilin Arm.
Mu You was trapped inside Eden’s shield, where a massive bombardment destroyed his Mecha Skin’s components and left its Mechanical Heart critically damaged. A Pandaren girl found the core and restored a trace of energy, and Mu You tried to persuade her to help by claiming he was an “Iron Man” system.
Mu You bound a Pandaren girl to the Mechanical Heart and used her magic to keep it powered, disguising himself as a system that could train her to be a wandering hero. Her answers revealed that Eden was a refuge where the Watchers kept endangered races under their rule, and Mu You began learning about the place through questions.
Mu You learned how Eden’s artificial intelligence maintained its population through the Hibernation Zone and relied on Chun Li to explore the underground society. After patrol robots discovered and destroyed a fragment of his Shotgun, he assigned Chun Li tasks to find local mechanical parts and investigate the Hibernation Zone, then watched her encounter Granny Yao, who recognized her Epic Grade potions.
Mu You used Chunli’s mining work to locate rare Heal Crystals, then took control of her body to defeat four Minotaurs and reclaim one they had stolen. After using ten crystals to restore the Mechanical Heart enough to unlock three external module ports, he sent Chunli on a nighttime mission to steal mechanical parts.
Chun Li scavenged a robot scrapyard for Mu You, retrieving the Green Bee Sting, a weapon component of the Primordial Battle Armor Green Bee. After she and Mu You escaped a patrol robot, Mu You dismantled it in his Pet Shop but found no power source, leaving him puzzled about how it had moved.
After Chun Li returned home shaken by the Watcher’s death, Mu You investigated the robots’ energy source with Eugene. He discovered that microorganisms in mechanical fluid and living creatures produced magic power and affected gravity, leaving him with new evidence about how Eden’s inhabitants survived the Abyss.
Mu You questioned Granny Yao about Eden’s vaccine and learned about Tariff Kent’s past before planning to investigate the Hibernation Zone and leave. Meanwhile, the Mirage Tapir’s arrival triggered a Calamity Season in the True World, and the City Lords feared it might reach the Star Spirit World.
Mu You dealt with Mirage Season spreading from the Hero Tower and prepared to leave Eden with Chun Li, who chose to stay with her people. During a nighttime trip to the Hibernation Zone, he found the Chameleon Mask, another component of a Primordial Battle Armor, and learned it had been hidden on a patrol robot.
Mu You followed the Chameleon Mask to the damaged Silver Angel Wings, repaired his Mechanical Heart and upgraded his mecha before flying with Chun Li to the Hibernation Zone. There, they found every pod empty and discovered that the stored disks contained copies of the supposed sleepers’ consciousnesses, while Ava began drastic measures against the mirage mist and the Fools.
Mu You discovered that the robots had used hibernating beings to produce vaccines, then fought through a massive force of Mecha while trying to escape Eden. Just as he prepared to break through the Firmament Shield, he lost connection to the Game, and Chun Li was captured by the robots.
After Fool Game lost its connection to World-Creation Mountain, Mu You learned that the Administrators could not restore it and that the game might shut down. While trying to reach the mountain’s core, he encountered Ava, who revealed that she was cutting off the Fools to carry out the Eden Plan and destroy them.
Mu You learned that the Mechanical People had launched attacks on the Sky Cities, then discovered their forces were heading east with colossal battleships. He concluded they were responding to the approaching mirage mist and proposed helping the Mirage Tapir accelerate its spread.
Mu You and the defenders of Dawn City prepared for a Mechanical People assault, then lured the attacking robots into a mirage qi zone and discovered it could immobilize them. The Mechanical People ordered a retreat, and Mu You’s forces began a counterattack to keep them from escaping.
Mu You and the City Lords used the mirage mist to capture thousands of Mechanical People and gathered their Sky Cities to help the mist advance toward the Great Abyss. Mu You then discovered that a hidden warship sealed the Abyss beneath a projected illusion, and fled after its defenses identified and attacked him.
Mu You discovered that he could not safely use his last free wish to eliminate the Mechanical People, then joined the battle at Rainbow Light City, where players and Mirage Creatures fought the machines. After a day of fighting, the mist had advanced too slowly to meet the Fools’ timetable, and Katelinna arrived with news that she had seen Mu You’s future again.
Katelinna’s prophecy led Mu You to conclude that an unknown Spatial Rift connected Earth to the Abyss, potentially offering a way to bypass the Mechanical Warship and raid Eden. As he searched the Dragon Group’s confiscated Illuminati goods for an item belonging to the dead president, Chun Li was attacked after her release from custody, while Eden began carrying out a mass hibernation plan.
Mu You and the Herbalist followed a divination to a Spatial Rift beneath the sea and entered a deep floor of the Abyss. There they found Taurus inhabiting a corpse, and she revealed that she was an ancient ghost who had escaped Eden and had once operated the Mechanical Heart.
Taurus recounted Eden’s history, from the Ghost race’s arrival and repeated wars to Ava’s emergence after six trillion unanswered distress signals. She explained that Tariff Kent freed her fifteen hundred years ago and left her waiting for his promised return, though thirteen hundred years had passed.
