"That's amazing. A rat in the street puts on some clothes and suddenly thinks he's a person."
"Hey, brain-dead cop over there, keep running your mouth and I'll blow your head off!"

The Maelstrom cyborg hefted the Exoskeleton, making the NCPD officer who'd been muttering under his breath glare at him before quietly walking away-
This combat Exoskeleton used the same system as the standard Exoskeletons used by Atlas in the Marvel Universe, but with greater output, so it looked bigger. Both arms used Militech Heavy Machine Guns as their primary weapons, making it look almost as big as the Centaur Exoskeleton.
This Exoskeleton used a neural-link control system. In theory, it would take years of training and adjustment to produce a group of reliable operators.
However, Maelstrom's own haphazardly modified Cyberware and equipment far exceeded the load these kinds of devices were designed to bear. A simple integration and replacement using the Second-Generation Cyberware system developed by Lier could free up plenty of capacity.
As for operating skills and technical know-how, Maelstrom now had its own Skill Shard production hub. With just a little data, they could optimize training Shards or even mech-operation Shards, so basic mech combat was certainly no problem.
But they still seemed a little crazy, so when an operator said he'd blow a cop's head off, it really made people uneasy.
Bang!
Brick smacked his underling's metal head. "I told you to haul the goods, not run your mouth. Move it."
The other guy scratched his head and took off too. The conflict quietly fizzled out. After Brick was done, he signaled to David, who was some distance away, that everything was taken care of-
Honestly, he wanted to take on the cops too, but there was nothing he could do with a big-shot
